Kellan Lutz has been added to the cast of Twilight as reported in an article on BD.com. There is no news of who he will be playing but we will update as soon as we get inforamtion. Here is his IMDb page.

This guy isn’t Jasper. The actor who plays Jasper is 5’5″ and 130 lbs according to the flyer for stand-ins. Kellan Lutz is 6’1″ and 185 lbs. Too much of a difference for it to be Jasper.

Hi everyone, I thought I might tell you my ultimate I am WAY to obsessed with twilight moment that happened today:
So I was telling a friend of mine about the cullens being cast (him looking decidedly scared) and I was sort of ….bouncing. So in the midst of my excitment I fell over (on a flat surface) and broke my toe (totally a Bella moment)

WOW what a fun day, tons of cast announcements and chapter 4 of the “Host”.

Agreed! I think this guy could be either Emmett or Jasper, though I’m leaning more towards Emmett. As Tyler? Naw, they wouldn’t waste such a great body on him. Vampires are gods, they have first priority. Hehe.
I’m very disappointed with the choice for Rosalie, and like quoted above, I hope that it is just a rumor.

Okay, so this is what I personally I think of when I see these choices.
Kristen Stewart/ Bella Swan – I know her from playing the daughter in Panic Room. She was a pretty good actor, even back then. I really like her as a choice for Bella. I’m sure she’ll do good.
Robert Pattinson/ Edward Cullen – Knowing him as playing Cedric, I realize, he’s an amazing actor. And like many others, sure, he’s not quite what I pictured, but, considering all the amazing things I’ve read, yeah. He’s the Twilight Movie Edward. Go him. ..That sounds sarcastic – it’s not. ^^;;
Justin Chon/ Eric Yorkie – My only experience with this particular actor is when he was the “rockstar†in the O.C. Sure, he too may not be quite what I pictured, but, Eric’s not a main character, so, build a bridge.
Anna Kendrick/ Jessica Stanley – I’ve never seen anything she’s been in or whatever, but she fits what I thought Jessica would look like.
Cam Gi..Gigandet?/ James – Is that right? ..Anyways. He. Is. Perfect. For. James. -NodNod.- He has this intense almost evil look about him. Plus, he’s an amazing actor. W00t. -Fangirl hand spazz-out- xD
Michael Welch/ Mike Newtone – As Mike? If the name fits. Haha.
Peter Facinelli/ Carlisle Cullen – Tommy from Riding in Cars with Boys – that’s all I have to base his acting skills off of. He was pretty good. Maybe not exactly how I pictured Carlisle, but, I think he’s a pretty good choice.
Nikki Reed/Rosalie Hale – I’ll have to agree with the others when I say she’s probably not quite who I expected. She certainly doesn’t look much like how Rosalie is described, but her hair can be dyed peoples. She’s a really good actor. -NodNod.- She was in the O.C – That’s where I know her from.
Ashley Green/Alice Cullen -She looks just right for Alice. Never seen her in anything, but if she was chosen, she must be good.
Elizabeth Reaser/ Esme Cullen – She was in Grey’s Anatomy as Ava, no? She’s a really good actor, you have to admit. And she fits what I pictured Esme to look like.
Rachel Lefevre/Victoria – The only thing I’ve seen her in is when she was a ghost in Charmed. And she was pretty scary, I’ll haveta admit. I think she’ll be a good Victoria.
Now the real question is, who exactly will play Jasper, Emmett, Jacob, Laurent and Charlie?

I’m really liking the cast! I think the characters were really well thought out and they picked people who could do the role well –
EXCEPT NIKKI READ. It is so WRONG. And I know that the acting is the important thing. But it’s ROSALIE. She is about HOW SHE LOOKS. Nikki is pretty – in her own Latino Hotness way. But she isn’t classic blond ice-queen beautiful. And dying her hair or giving her a wig would take away from what IS pretty about her! Which is her brunette hair, brown eyes and tan skin.
I think Catherine did the wrong thing here.
I don’t understand about Nikki Reed either… she looks nothing like rosalie… shes pretty, but not breath-takingly gorgeous… They really should re-think that decision, not to critize or anything..

I just don’t think he is bulky enough to play Emmett. More of a Jasper i think.
I wish they would swap the Carlisle & James actors that would work better IMO.
I didn’t like the Nikki for Rosalie either at first but i saw a pic of her on the message boards of Nikki that had been photoshopped to have blonde hair and topaz eyes and it made me change my mind.
I also really hope that they give Alice short hair in the movie i think its a pretty significant part of the story as to why its that short.

Also, im usually open about the actors they pick, but the actress for Rosalie just not right. I’m sure she’ll be great, but shes jsut the opposite of what Rosalie in the book is described as. Maybe she’ll dye her hair blonde haha? Though i think that will still look tacky.

I agree with many of you. Nikki Reed is honestly not fit for the part of Rosalie. I have seen her in that lifetime movie, thirteen, the OC, and other shows. She doesn’t have the…je ne sais quoi.

Edward has Bronze hair in the book (ie dark red hair) so you can’t dismiss Robert for having the wrong coloured hair. I think he will be a fine vampire.
