Kellan Lutz has been added to the cast of Twilight as reported in an article on BD.com. There is no news of who he will be playing but we will update as soon as we get inforamtion. Here is his IMDb page.

WHATS WRONG WITH THE LEX?
The fact that they are putting so many names in the casting list, even for some of the relatively smaller parts (A Tony-nominated actress for Jessica? Who is in how many scenes?) gives me such great hopes for the movie. It means that they are taking this seriously, and hopefully it will turn out a pretty good movie. They’re thinking about more than the perfect look for the part, they’re considering acting ability, too.
This guy… Well, what choices do we have left? Charlie, Emmett, Jasper, Tyler, Laurent, Billy, Sam, Jacob and whatever smaller characters they added. Not Jacob or Billy. Not Charlie, too young. Definitely a vampire. I’m leaning towards Emmett.
I’m hoping that the people who don’t scream a character at me when I see their picture will scream their characters when I see the previews. I am so psyched, now. Before, it was just, “yeah, they’re making another movie based on an awesome book that probably won’t hold a candle to the book, but might be a decent movie”.
I want more casting to come out! I am desperate now!
I really hope that this ‘Rosalie’ person is unconfirmed and is just a rumor because I really don’t like it. Say what you want, Lex, “judge a person by their talents,” but let’s face it, half the job is looking the part.
When I look at him I drool, then after I’m done whipping the drool away I completly think of Emmet!

I cannot believe they chose Nikki Reed as Rosalie! She’s completely opposite from what Rosalie is supposed to look like.
And as for Lutz, I think he’s Emmett.
He’s perfect for the part, in my opinion.
As for Jasper, I picture someone with blonder and maybe scruffier hair.
I’m sort of scared for who they’re going to cast as Jasper. He’s one of my favorite characters.
And I agree with the others, if Lutz is , in reality, Jasper.. I might have to shoot myself in the face.

My hopes are on Jasper, but don’t get your hopes up too much on him being Emmett, or you’ll end up being sorely wrong or brought down if he isn’t.
Okay here’s my opinion on the casting:
okay first off, this guy is clearly emmett (don’t shoot me if I’m wrong). Umm I’m an actress myself and I understand about talents, but in the end it really comes down to looks. Well at least with the cullens it does.
Rosalie is NOTHING like I pictured her, and Carlisle… whats going on there?? Alice is suppost to be small and pixie like… Esme and Victoria are awesome choices by far
As for Robert: He is EXACTLY like I pictured my Edward. Everytime I watch GOF I just scream at how perfect they chose that.
I never knew Eric was asian… but w/e, he’s still awesome. Jessica is soooooo similar to the way stef discribes her that it’s crazy!!
I’m sort of scared but sort of excited… I guess there is make-up… and hair dye… wow can’t wait to see how they perfect Rob even more and then all you people who think it is wrong will be shocked at how magnificent he looks!!!!
All in all, I guess they all really did great at their auditions!
Yay! So excited! I know I’m just repeating what everyone else has said, but my first thought was “Emmett”, too, but something about him now reminds me of Tyler…oh well. He could pull off Jasper if he had to!

I look at the cast banner and am overwhelmed now. Because now we have faces to place with names… and it just feels strange.
I mean, it was enough to have Robert and Kristen cast in the lead roles. But with other roles being filled, it feels real. Wow.

I’m going to have to go against most of the group and say I think he’d be perfect for Jasper! He has the blond hair and I think he would look cuter with Ashley vs. Nikki. As far as the rest of the cast, I’m totally happy with it, but I was suprised about Rosalie but I’m sure those in charge know what they are doing. And Robert Pattinson is by far the hottest person in the whole group!!!! Love Him!!!
I’m so glad that the cast is being announced! I don’t see the point of not announcing who Kellan is playing, though. Why do they torture us like that?
Ugh, I know this has nothing to do with the cast, but I really hate living in Canada!! They’re only accepting for the extras thing if you live in the states!!!! URGH!!!! Well, there’s always spring break.. and forks… oh my robert!!! hahah
When I first saw the picture, I immediately thought….JASPER. But, after seeing the description for the extra….they say Jasper as 5’5″ 130lbs and longer brown hair. I don’t think this guy fits that description. So, more than likely…EMMETT.
I Love Robert Pattinson as Edward. Everyone else cast is fine except for Nikki Reed as Rosalie. What a freaking huge mistake. Whatever…I guess it doesn’t matter since she is the director’s step-daughter. I just can’t believe they had to choose that part in particular. She is NOT Cullen material. She could have been an Angela or even Jessica if she wanted to be a part in the movie.

Can totally see him as Emmett. I know some people are having troubles seeing the actors as their cast role. REMEBER PEOPLE! They are chosing their actors on their ACTING skills, and will also have hair, eye, and body enhancements to make them LOOK like the characters. You have to picture them with what they look like (physically) in the book. Their are a lot of changes to be made. I think Rob as Edward is the best! Lets just hope they cast Steven Strait for Jacob *fingers crossed*

I LOVE the cast, but I’m hesitant abour Rosalie. I really want to see her blonde with makeup to make her look paler and such… She has potential.
As for Carlisle… Think about it. If the guy died his hair blond, he’d be perfect. He’s absolutely gorgeous and he also looks considerably older than the others like Esme, but still young. He’s the kind of guy who looks like he could be 35 or 21…
Alice is perfest. She had an innocent quality, which is needed for that part I think. And I really hope they have her hair at least shoulder length, if not how the book describes it. There’s to many long-haired girls in the film already. Alice is supposed to stand out. Plus, her hair represents her stay in the assylum (sp?) which it vital to the end.
