Right now Stephenie Meyer’s site is reporting that they have a new server (Welcome to the upgrade your server club, Seth. We understand your pain!) because, "So, hypothetically speaking, if we were to announce several of the actors that are part of the cast of Twilight the movie in the next few days, there shouldn’t be any problems with getting on the site and viewing their official photos." Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but that sounds like a "So be sure to check the RSS feed" to me! 
Also, on the Breaking Dawn press release page (thanks to multiple people who pointed this out) they are referring to December 12, 2008 (yes we know that is 10 months after filming begins and yes it seems like a really short turn around time to us too) as the release date of the film. This has also been up on the IMDB for awhile. Before anyone plans a a movie get together give it a couple of months. Past experience in with the Harry Potter movies has proven that sometimes for various PR reasons they change release dates by a week or two. Usually things stabilize around four to five months ahead of time, but studios can decide to change dates for any number of reasons.
Lastly since there seem to be two major questions of the hour (at least it’s what is taking over our inbox), here is my two cents:
Question: Are you guys worried that they are adding other characters?
Answer: "No one knows the names of the other guys on the police force but obviously they exist. I’m sure there are even more than 10 named students attending Forks HS, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the town gas station attendant where Bella gases her truck has a name.
Movies are a visual medium. They need to add/delete characters for Bella to talk to to advance the plot. The whole movie can’t be a voice over happening in Bella’s head.
The added characters (so far a waitress and a guy on the force) seem to be minor roles that will advance the plot."
Question: "What about them changing the name of the Bio teacher, or changing the ethnicity of Bella’s classmates? Isn’t this going to ruin the movie?"
Answer: "I’m not really following the logic here. The bio teacher being a bit of a "tree hugger" and Bella’s friends being multicultural significantly changes the Bella/Edward romance/mystique storyline how exactly? "
And yes, we still are getting e-mails from people who seem to think we are Stephenie Meyer, that we can cast them, and/or that Stephenie Meyer controls the casting of this movie.

I really don’t think it would take that long for Twilight to come out. Harry Potter might have taken longer because of the amount of CGI used in it. Twilight really shouldn’t have that much so maybe the editing part of the movie won’t take as long. I HOPE!!

That movie looks awesome! When I saw the preview in theatres I started jumping up and down because I thought it was Twilight (even though it’s not coming out for like 10 months, it still got my hopes up. haha) Hayden Christenson and that other guy are sooo hot! Sorry, that was off topic.

I thought twilight coming this month, February 2008, 10 month seems too long I can’t wait.
Who thought the end of eclipse was not the best? She could make a 4th book and tell about the wedding, how jacob reacted, how she told her parents ’bout the wedding and the turning into a vampire, and also her first experience as a vampire. u know just little of that or maybe jacob falls in love with a girl and how would bella react.

Justin looks just like Eric to me. When they first put it up that he was cast but didn’t know who, I said he looked like Eric. I even said it in one of these comment thingy’s. Basically, I’m sooo excited!
And jetsue, personally, I really liked the ending of Eclipse, but Stephenie is writing a fourth book called Breaking Dawn and it’s coming out August 2nd, 2008.
December does seem like a really short time to me, but as long as they can get it all together I’ll be happy!

Oh My Gosh! I feel all types of emotion brought on by the information flooding within short period of time that I feel like I had to stop breathing to check whether this all is true.
Oh wow, first Breaking Dawn> so happy that it will be out soon , at the same time trying to put the thought that the Twilight saga is finally over…..then I’m peeved by the fact that because my mother wont pre-order the book and I cant find another way to get it seeing as I’m only 16 ,live in Australia which is like light-years away from where all the action is and I don’t have a credit card to buy it my self ( oh I wonder if any body knows if Money-Order will work to pre-order)
And about the revealing of when the movie is realeased – Well I don’t care if it is in 10 mnth or next year as long it’s done and its good and IS Realsed. And as for the cast- I glad that at least we know about Jessica , Ben and James, and hopefully we can find out about the rest of the cast soon, if not then I guess I’ll just have waite untill the movie.

I didn’t realize how big of a year this is. not only do we have the BD coming out in Aug. but we have the Host…and with that a 10 city tour. oh and the Movie. This year is going to be GREAT!!!!

Maybe everyone should be a little patient about what is going to change or not change from the book to the movie version. We know for the sake of moving the picture along there will be some changes. But remember we always have the books to go back and read and re-read. They, thank heavens, will not change. I just hope that the scenes from Chapter 13 “Confessions” don’t change. I can’t wait to see how they show Edward the first time he is in the sunlight. Also I hope that they include from that the chapter Edward listening to Bella’s heart beat in the meadow. It is by far one of my most favorite parts of the book. Also”The Lion falls in love with Lamb” to me is just one of the most beautiful lines in the book.
Whoa, Irene, how do you figure that? I’d absolutely love for it to be that, but it’s mostly been called a fan-pick for Bella’s Lullaby. Is it confirmed?
River Flows in You is wonderful. I’m kinda scared people are only going to like it because it is Bella’s lullaby.
Sometimes changes are needed to make the movie flow better. In the first Harry Potter movie, they changed how they got to the forbidden corridor and I thought it made the movie flow a lot better. Also, it built up more suspense, in my opinion. Let’s not judge the movie before we actually see it, okay?
I really do hope, though, that they will keep a lot of the same lines from the book like “You’re exactly my brand of heroine” and “And so the lion falls in love with the lamb” and those kinds of lines.
I just think it’s a rumor.. with the song “a river flows in you”.. And btw.. I thought people liked “kiss the rain” more for Bellas lullaby
River flows in you and Kiss the rain are beautiful pieces, it would be amazing if they used any one of them in the moive.
Can wait for the movie, the cast seems to be reasonably good so far.
Hope they don’t make too many changes, they really should keep some of the most memorable lines and it would be a shame if they don’t do the meadow scene…

Henry Cavill would have done a great job for Edward, but Robert is good too. But I was fustrated when my friend kept telling me that Henry was and not Robert.
Please do not post rumor and proclaim it to be fact unless you have a noted source. Just saying its so, doesn’t make it so. If you have news we are happy to report it. We just need credible sources first. I seriosuly doubt they have chosen a score fo the movie yet. That type of thing is done typically in post production. Not pre-production.
Here’s a thought – as if Stephenie doesn’t already have enough to do- maybe after the movie comes out, she could get permission to “adapt” some movie scenes back into book form. Wouldn’t it be great to have any extra scenes or characters from the movie written out by Stephenie and placed on her website? Wouldn’t these be a great addition to the extras and outtakes that already exist? One can always dream about possibilities….

Wow… I didn’t know that many people were so narrow minded and ignorant… and where pray tell did it ever say that Eric (assuming that’s who the people are referring to) is caucasian (assuming that’s what everyone apparently pictures the characters as…) ? hmm? It never said that anywhere. Pale skinned yes. acne-faced yes. nerdy like yes. But never did it mention a race of any kind. o_O *sigh* *shakes head*
