There are more specific updates today at Stephenie’s website to go along with the recent sprucing up of the site.
First Stephenie elaborated on her meeting regarding the Twilight movie and has specifically named the director and writer.
Catherine Hardwicke (the director) has worked on a number of critically acclaimed projects such as Thirteen, Vanilla Sky, and Three Kings. She was also a member of the jury (a judge) at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.
Melissa Rosenberg has also worked on a number of impressive projects with some really varied backgrounds including The OC, Boston Public, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman,
It look like we have struck gold with these two women at the creative helm, according to Stephenie, "It was a fantastic conversation and they asked all the right questions—I even had a chance to mention a few of my favorite actors."
Stephenie also elaborated on a ton of questions that she has been asked lately on tour such as imprinting, the nature of the changes in the Eclispe relationships, future writing, etc.

That’s wonderful that Ms. Hardwicke is your aunt, however, this does not mean that I’m not allowed to voice my opinion. I did not take shots at your aunt or slam her. I just said the announcement of her direction of the movie sounds like a bad idea. When exactly did I insult her?
Actually, I enjoyed Thirteen. I just think the style of her work is not going to work well with Twilight.
I’m sorry you don’t like people disagreeing with your aunt’s choice. May I suggest that you not venture anywhere else on the net when it comes to your aunt? Just warning you, because what I’ve said is downright tame compared to the opinions (and insults) most people tend to express on the internet.

I’m sorry, as far as I know those are the only three films she has directed so far. Do you know of any others? I know she has a long history of other behind-the-scenes positions in films…but only directed three. Please correct me if I’m wrong!

i’m excited that they’re making a film. yes, it won’t be anywhere near as good as the book, but at least the director and the writer have spoken with mrs. meyer and are taking what she has to think in consideration. they’re even considering filming in Forks. thats sooo awesome. when the film comes out, i’m going to put aside all the bad things that can come from it and go in with a positive attitude. btw i hope they get unknowns to play the characters. maybe some more famous people for the minor characters to draw some attention to film, but for the leads, unknowns.
ABOUT TIME!!!!!!! I know it won’t probably be good as the book but at least they are making it.Think positive people!

1. We finnally get to see it in motion picture.
2. It will kick Harry Potter butt.
3. They can finnaly prove it that Twilight is better than Harry Potter and also rub into people faces if they still like Harry Potter that Vampires are better than wizzards.
4. In the Move we all know there would be a cute Edward and Jacob.
5. Stephenie books are better than J.K Rowling
6. Lastly………..kick Harry Potter butt.
Haha. I see you are well on your way to updating the bios. Kudos to you. But still, no love for Rachel and Rebecca Black? I mean, Reily gets his own page, but none for Jake’s big sisters? I don’t mean to nitpick, I swear. I just have so many hopes for those girls in the next book [what with female werewolves and all], that I thought it would nice to compile some back round on them now.
Good to know about the updates. I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! My friends and I are all going to the movie dressed in character!!! Man, I would KILL to have a part in that movie.

hey guys…i used to post a lot on chapter one of eclipse and mocie news but for some reason they stopped allowing you to post there…oh well. i think that kate mara should play bella. i saw her in ‘we are marshal’ and i thought of bella the whole time.
So my friends and I just saw the trailer for twilight online and we are so freaking excited! The books are amazing, and I cant wait to see what they make of the movies!
