The Eclipse Prom Update

Now what is a Prom without a prom favor? Stephenie had this to say on her website, and it’s way better than the typical cheesy prom beer mug.
The Eclipse Prom will officially be held on May 5, 2007. The time will be announced later, but it will probably in the afternoon. Also for sure: I’m going to be allowed to read the first chapter of Eclipse "
I’m editing this message to address a few comments some of you have said below. The Lexicon WILL NOT have a recording of any reading Stephenie does for this evevnt – or for any event. We will not have a copy of the chapter posted anywhere on the website. I’m sure Stephenie will post chapter one of Eclipse on her web site the same way she has posted other items in the past. You will have to install Adobe Reader to access the information. The reason being that this is copywrited material and she wants to prohibit unauthorized copies of text from being created.
Just when I thought, I couldn’t want to go to the Prom anymore, I find out about the Eclipse reading! WooHoo!!

Well, the chapter reading sounds fantastic, but since I live in Australia, its a bit out of my way. Do you think the lexicon might put up an audio recording of the reading, or a text version of the chapter? I suppose it depends on whether or not the publisher allows it.
~~~Sorry but, no. Just like we can’t have any sound recordings of Stephenie reading Midnight Sun, we won’t be able to post anything from Eclipse until it’s posted at Stephenie’s own site. And even then, since it is copywrited material, we can only link to it.

That is SO not fair. I live in Indiana. WHY DO I LIVE SO FAR FROM PHEONIX!?!?!?!?!?!? *sigh* It’s not like I can just take a plane anyway.
But ECLIPSE!!!!!! Maybe they could put it up on this site. I mean, they did that for New Moon…. If some people get to hear the first chapter, I think everyone should be able to. Otherwise it’ll just be the people who live near Pheonix or who are rich and can afford to hop on a plane whenever they want to… and that’s not fair.
I better start working on my parents right now if I ever expect to get there in May…..

Ok, I live in Canada, and my parents refuse to pay for a flight so I can go down to Pheonix for one day to further my obsession with a book they don’t appreciate. Is there any way at all that there might be a recording of it?

No! I can’t go for two reasons. First, I live in New York and could never make it to Pheonix and second, that day is my parents birthday, yes both!
you know i’m chillign here in Canada as the snow continues to fall when i pop onto Lexicon to see that the Eclipse chapter is goign to be read. and i had been greatful that the snow had finally come but now i turn towards it and say DANG YOU! i want to go to phoenix where it is nice and hot and i get to see stephenie. but *sigh* i guess if you live far away and you don’t have teh money there’s nothing you can do eh?

Well…that’s great. Congratulations for everyone who will be that day in Phoenix!!! But, that last sentence it’s not for me!!! Because if that day I can go to Phoenix and hear the first chapter of eclipse….I’ll just don’t understand. I understand the english when that language is write and I can read it….Because I’m not English, American, or something like that..-_-…I live in Spain, and, if i left this day that country, it’s just because I’m going to France (yes, I’m french….sorry for the spelling mistakes…)

UGH! Why must pheonix be so far away? I live near Cleveland, and my mom wouldn’t even let me go to a signing in Cincinnati! She would kill me if I even mentioned it!
