Sydney E-Prom!!
Where: Kinokuniya Bookstore
Address:
Books Kinokuniya
L2 Galeries Victoria
500 George St
Sydney NSW 2000
[PH: 02 9262 7996]
When: Saturday, 5th May. The reading starts at 12 p.m. so I would suggest being there at about 11:45. (by ‘the reading’ I of course mean the first chapter of Eclipse!!)
We will have the reading as the first thing [at 12] and then we have a couple of quizzes and then a game, so the whole thing would run for about an hour and a half. It will be in the YA/ Kids section of the store (near the window seats) and I suggest bring a pen or a pencil for the quizzes!! Dressing-up option is open, so feel free to dress up as you please!
The Sydney e-prom is more of a party/get together than anything; so that is why the dressing-up option is open [dress up if you want, but it not compulsory]. There is no compulsory registration and of course there will be a lot of photos!! And bring as many friends with you as possible!
Hope to see everyone there!!
Forks-cast, pre-prom style
Alphie and I recorded a bit to entertain anyone who will be traveling next week. It’s about an hour long so hopefully it will take away the travel time blues.

REGARDING CHAPTER 1 OF ECLIPSE!
Alphie said it here
I said it in several places
You can discuss chapter 1 of Eclipse on our site as of May 5, 2007. Failure to abide by this will result in your account being deleted and you being banned from the site. This has already happened to one person who apparently thought we were kidding.
Chapter 1 of Eclipse is available in the Special Edition New Moon hardcover that is available in stores now or shortly depending on when they get in shipments. We do not know, but imagine that Stephenie might post Ch. 1 on her website sometime after May 5, 2007 in PDF form as she has done similar things before.
Any questions on Mini-proms in other areas, please reread Alphie’s post of the other day. Also check out our Eclipse Prom section on our forums.
California Prom
I just got this from a librarian in California. I thought I’d pass it on to all of you.

Proms and the first chapter of Eclipse
I have had SO many PMs and e-mails asking about hosting a prom event. Here is the thing folks, if you want to host a prom, DO IT! You could always ask a bookstore to lend you space with the promise that they will sell books. Tell them they could sell the New Moon special edition as well as Prom Nights from Hell which Stephenie was a part of. And they CERTAINLY should presell Eclipse. If you can’t get a book store, ask the library if you can use a room – or have it in your basement. ANYTHING to get together. Then once you have something organized, let me know so I can promote it for you. I am more than happy to post details on your prom here on the front page of the lexicon where every fan can see it! Just make sure you send me all the pertanent information.
The next subject I need to clear up is about the first chapter of Eclipse. Yes, some bookstores have it. Yes, some of you have read it. NO! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POST ABOUT IT ON THE LEXICON. Not until May 5th when we are certain everyone has it. If you want to talk about it, do it in PMs and e-mail. And under NO circumstance are you allowed to post any part of it anywhere on the internet. Don’t even e-mail it to someone. That is a serious violation of copyright law and you could be sued by Little Brown if they find out. May 5th is not that far away. We can wait to talk about it after prom!

Cafepress Store restocked
There was about a five day window where our Cafepress Store was out of stock of the limited edition Lexiconer shirts. They are now back in stock. Here are some images of our items. The backs of all the items say "What is your screen name?"

Questions for fans in England –
Imogen is curious to know if any fans in England would be interetsed in getting together for a "Prom" event in the York area? She is willing to contact a few bookstores to set somehing up so long as there is interest. If you live in England and could get to the York area on Saturday afternoon, let us know. We can’t give you a certain time yet as she hasn’t spoken to a book store to set it up. Tell us what time would be good for you and we can work from there.
Thanks!
Alphie
