Actor Bio Sheet – Justin Chon
Character/Job: Eric Yorkie
Actor/Production Person: Actor
Birthday: Between May 21 – June 21, (he is a Gemini) and born in the 1980’s.
City and State: Garden Grove, California
Official casing announcement link: http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1581186/20080207/story.jhtml
Life Bio: Justin Chon is a bright up-and-coming actor, his career starting only a little over two years ago. Being that Justin is a new face in Hollywood, his background is a tad unclear and the information is from the few interviews he has done. Born Justin Jitae Chon in Garden Grove, California, he was raised in Southern California with his parents and continues to live in the Los Angeles area. Justin is described as an easy-going, California boy, enjoying his time at the beach surfing or spending time with friends. He played saxophone in the marching band during his high school years at University High School in Irvine, California. He attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Business Administration. To fulfill the language requirements of his degree, after trying Japanese, he changed to take Korean. It was spoken around his home growing up, however he had not mastered it and took this opportunity to. During his junior year, he spent time in South Korea as part of a year abroad. The first semester he lived in the dorms of Yonsei University in Seoul while the second with his maternal grandmother. Through this experience he was able to learn about his culture which would further aid him in a role in the movie “Crossing Over”. His father was an actor in film and television in South Korean but gave it up to marry Justin’s mother and move to the United States. His mother’s parents did not approve of his father’s occupation so he left it to start a retail business in Southern California. His mother is an accomplished pianist and has passed her passion of music to Justin who is accomplished in several instruments. Due to his father being in films, he was naturally drawn to the films and television and it became a fascination for him. While growing up, Justin noticed that there were not many Asian American actors. This caused him to feel that his dream of being an actor would be impossible until he saw John Cho in “American Pie.” It was then he felt that he could pursue this dream as a career and not as a hobby. His career started with an episode of “Jack and Bobby”, a television mini-series. Following this, he was in two short films: “Taki and Lucy” and “Fleetwood” and an episode of “The O.C.” His cross over from television to film came with his part in the Disney television movie “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior” where he plays the lead character’s brother, Peter Wu. Justin joined the cast for the new Nickelodeon show “Just Jordan” in 2007, as Tony Lee and has already signed for the next season. However, he is balancing this role with the several film roles he is working on. Although television is his start, Justin says he prefers to do films as they remind him of summer camp. He looks forward to continuing with his acting career and later on possibly getting involved with directing films. Although described as a down-to earth individual, he is a driven actor who continues to hone his craft through acting classes and top-notch acting coaches.
Fun Facts: One of Justin’s favorite movies is “Interview with a Vampire.” He enjoys playing music (piano, violin, guitar and saxophone), watching television, skateboarding and surfing. He owns a shoe company called Attic. His first paying acting job was a T-Mobile commercial, Justin says he played a “Chinese immigrant wannabe rapper.”

Life Bio:
Nikki was born in Los Angeles, California to Seth Reed and Cheryl Houston. She has an older brother, Nathan. Nikki’s parents divorced when she was 2 years old and she grew up with her mother.
Nikki describes herself as shy, however in her teenage years she became rebellious and she moved out on her own. During this time she “grew up very fast” and became “mature and responsible”.
As far as her career goes, Nikki first started in 2002 along with Catherine Hardwicke writing a story about the experiences that she had the previous year. Hardwicke began collaborating with Nikki and they finished the screen play in six days, which is relatively fast for a Hollywood script to be written. “Thirteen” is partially autobiographical and depicts a girl dealing with teenage issues as parents, sex and drugs. Nikki didn’t have much interest in acting but after Production had trouble casting one of the roles for the movie, Reed accepted the part.
After Thirteen, Nikki went back to school, tried home schooling which didn’t’ work out too well, so she ended up going back to school to get her High school diploma.
Nikki couldn’t stay away from set for too long and since has appeared in several films including “Lords of Dogtown”, also directed by Hardwicke and Mini’s First time. Nikki prefers independent films and the indie mindset.
On February 19, 2008 Summit Entertainment announced that Reed would be portraying Rosalie Hale in the book adaptation “Twilight”, also being directed by Catherine Hardwicke.
Fun Facts:
-Nikki loves animals and owns dogs and horses; she loves to go horseback riding.
-She is close friends with Thirteen (2003) co-star Evan Rachel Wood and with Director Catherine Hardwicke.
-Nikki wrote the script for “Thirteen” in just 6 days.

Gil Birmingham
Character/Job: Billy Black
Actor/Production Person: Gil Birmingham
Birthday: July 13, 1966
City and State: San Antonio, Texas
Official casing announcement link: https://www.twilightlexicon.com/?p=719
Life Bio:
Some dreams never die! Born on a military base in San Antonio, Texas, Gil Birmingham started out with his focus on an entirely different spotlight than the one he now finds himself in. When looking at his lengthy filmography, it becomes quite apparent that Gil is an actor who has enjoyed a steady stream of work since 1986. So it should come as some surprise to learn that Gil Birmingham a.k.a. multi-talented actor a.k.a. Jacob Black’s dad . . . initially set out in life with a dream to ROCK! And almost thirty acting projects later . . . that dream still lives. But these days, the dream keeps company with a thriving and illustrious acting career.
For Gil, the road to acting was not always a clear one. The son of a military man, he spent his younger years traveling with his family from one destination to another. His father was Comanche and his mother was a non-Native American. Gil concedes that neither of them were perfect. Growing up on a military base did not always lend itself to experiences of a culturally diverse nature. So not surprisingly, there was very little exposure to the arts early on. In fact, for a young Native American boy, military life overall was often very lonely. His unconventional upbringing often brought about feelings of isolation and abandonment.
It was not until he entered college at the University of Southern California that he began to branch out and experience new things. He started by trying out a variety of school majors before he finally settled on Administration. Once decided, Gil went on to graduate with a degree in that field where he subsequently worked as an engineer for four years. During that exploratory period, Gil started delving into even more areas that were once barred from him as a child. Along with a love for rock music, Gil soon found that he had an interest in weight lifting. So much so that he began competing in the sport on a city wide level.
Then, on the recommendation of a former girlfriend, Gil decided that he should give acting a try. His big break came when he appeared opposite Diana Ross in her music video for the song, entitled of all things . . . ‘Muscles’. From there, the acting opportunities kept coming. Everything from playing the role of Conan the Barbarian at Universal Studio’s Theme Park to a number of guest stints on several popular daytime soap operas.
These days, Gil has enjoyed a string of guest appearances on TV series like Veronica Mars and the supernaturally charged Charmed and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ironically, Gil’s new role in Twilight calls for him to tackle the world of vampires yet again. Except this time, the vampires are of the non-fanged variety. In Twilight Gil plays the role of Billy Black, the superstitious Quileute Indian and family patriarch who tries to warn Bella Swan about her mysterious new friends, the Cullens. But to Twilight fans everywhere, Billy Black is first and foremost . . . Jacob Black’s daddy! Which is pretty much as close as one person can get to being a real rock star.
Which brings this back to the original premise. Some dreams never die. Because Gil still plays the guitar. And he still travels from city to city performing with a band. Who knows, if this acting thing doesn’t work out . . .
Fun Facts (if applicable): Gil plays the guitar and performs with a band.
He once played Conan the Barbarian at Universal Studios.
Gil is a former weight lifter.
