According to Acting411.blogspot.com Eclipse will be directed by Paul Weitz, Chris Weitz’s brother.

There have been rumors circulating that Drew Barrymore will be directing the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series. These rumors are false. Due to the New Moon post-production schedule for director Chris Weitz, his brother and co-owner of “Depth of Field Productions” – Paul Weitz – will be directing Eclipse.

We have no way of verifying this information until Monday and no other major news source is reporting this information.  It could very well be just another of the many rumors floating around New Moon.

The only  thing that’s mystifying us is why Extra is surprised that they were bombarded by questions from Twilight fans. Did they suddenly forget the red carpet premiere, the Hot Topic Tour, and need I say Comic Con?

Remember when a week ago when we said that the Japanese were every bit as crazy for Twilight as their American counterparts, and they could scream just as loud. All three star were really great meeting their fans in the middle of a rain and sleet storm.

It’s a good thing Taylor is on this trip. Look at the fan reaction he gets, and it’s probably only going to get bigger over the next year.

Incidentally it was like three degrees. The guy were probably cold in their suit jackets, we can’t imagine how Kristen didn’t get hypothermia, and considering it was pouring how no one looks like a wet dog.

The girls from Twilight Singapore have uploaded the pictures they took at the Tokyo press conference, and given a brief description of the event. Our favorite picture is this one of a sheephishly smiling Kristen Stewart after attempting to greet and thank the Japanese fans in their own language.

Twilight Singapore has a sneak peek at the Tokyo Premeiere Red Carpet coverage.  Rob, Taylor, and Kristen look more relaxed and happy now that they aren’t totally jet lagged!

Best part of the photo is that you can clearly see that Taylor IS NOT SHORT!. We’ve been saying for months that he is at least 5’9″ and in these photos you can clearly see that he is way taller than Kristen (who is wearing heels that are at least 4 inches tall), and isn’t that much shorter than Rob!

As many of you know, PHD student Maggie had the opportunity to observe the makings of the Twilight movie last year.  She’s collected her thoughts on line changes from book to movie in her latest blog post.

“Some…lines were straight from the book, some were inventions, some poignant, some hysterical, and a myriad of other adjectives. Some I can see why they were cut, as they weren’t integral to the scene or weren’t necessary, so they could be removed without compromising the scene, others I really wonder why…”
