The Movie Fanatic site has just launched a 4-part series on Twilight.

It’s refreshing to see a movie-based site that is new to Twilight really care enough to do an in depth job, and really explore the wealth of information out there. We look forward to what parts 2-4 bring.

The local Fox affiliate in Portland, Oregon (KPTV) covered the filming of the Prom scene. There’s a great video included in the coverage. Thanks to Sara from the station for the heads up.

Stephenie’s website was updated today. She talks about being on set, and there is an adorable picture of Stephenie with the human members of the cast. She also posted on her myspace blog directing everyone to the new update.

The report includes everything from a great prank, to what it’s like hugging a solidly built vampire actor, to this fabulous ending quote:

"To conclude, I would like to make a few comments about Rob and Kristen, who are the true heart of this movie. First, they are both amazing actors. Second, they are channeling Edward and Bella like nobody’s business. Third, you might want to bring a paper bag to the movie, because their on-screen chemistry may cause hyperventilation. That is all."

*Edit* Stephenie added a few more comments to her myspace blog posting. 

"I wish I’d taken more pictures, too!!  But I’m a ginormous coward.  Once you’re sort of hanging out with these amazing people, it becomes very difficult to whip out the camera that is always, always in my bag on set and say, "Hey, sorry to interrupt this great conversation–I’m going to be a freakish dolt and ask for another picture now."  It’s too much fun to pretend that I belong, and that I’m really cool rather than being constantly about to pass out." The TwilightMoms have posted a set report on their forums from The View Point Inn where the prom scenes were filmed yesterday.  From the sound of it, there were lots of media outlets there for pictures and footage, so we should get more prom related news items as time goes on.  The set was a Monte Carlo feel as well as oversized decorations.  It really looks beautiful!  Check it out over at their forums, but know that you must be a registered user 25 years old or over to post.  You can talk about the prom photos here at the Lexicon on our message boards.

On a related note, I’d like to give the fandom a heads up about a few things I have learned about The View Point Inn where filming was located.  The inn has gone through some major work and is still in need of more work.  The owners have fought long and hard to keep the place standing.  It is still in need of repair to help keep it from being lost forever.  As a Twilight fan, I would hate to see something used for such a wonderful moment in the movie to fall to waste.  The Inn will be hosting several events throughout the coming year, some of which we have previously reported about, including a Twilight Themed Halloween Party.  If you would like to visit the Inn or contribute to their cause to save the Inn, you can visit their site here.  Reservations are required.

**NOTE:  Many people have comments on the following points.  No need to panic.  First, Robert says 108 year old vampire.  The reporter writing the article misunderstood him thanks in part to his accent, and thus he was quoted as saying 180 year old vampire.  Second, when Catherine is talking about a love scene, she is talking about a romantic scene such as the meadow scene.  Rest assured, one of the deals of the film is that it will stick to the book on the nature of Edward and Bella’s relationship.  All bedroom scenes refer to being in Bella’s bedroom just as they are many times over in the series and nothing more.
