Reminder of NYC events on Aug. 1

Just a reminder of what’s happening in New York City on Friday.  First the information for the podcast happening at the Columbus Circle Borders.  The show will be streamed live for all those who can not make it.  See the announcement below.

TwilightLive is planning 2 live streaming shows!

Show 1(The Pre-Show) is a test of TalkShoe and the capabilities of the site.  This show will be tomorrow (July 30) night at 10 PM Eastern Time with Kallie, Kassie, Linsay, and Becka.  We’re going to be chatting about NYC and Breaking Dawn.

Show 2 (TwilightLive) is the live show, streaming from Borders Columbus Circle in NYC.  The hosts will be Kallie, Kassie, Becka, Jen, Lisa, and Bailey, as noted in the post above.  This show will start at 11:58 am EST on August 1st.  There may be an 11:30 test show from our location, keep watching the site for updates.

**Anyone who attends the show will be entered to win an Autographed Movie Poster.  The poster is signed by Kristen Stewart (Bella), Rob Pattinson (Edward), Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Edi Gathegi (Laurent), Cam Gigandet (James), Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria), as well as director Catherine Hardwick and Stephenie Meyer.

For those of you going to the Breaking Dawn concert at the Nokia, Borders has quite the treat for you!  They will be providing shuttle buses after the concert so you can safely go from the Nokia Theatre to the Borders store in Penn Plaza where they will be hosting a midnight release party for the book.  Alphie, Pel, and Be My Escape will helping out with the trivia and other fun activities at this event.  The shuttles will run from 8:30 – 10:30 and will be right outside the theatre.  Also, MTV will be filming on these shuttles taking reactions from the fans and capturing the excitement surrounding the release.  So no need to hop on the subway or pay for a taxi!  Once again, we offer great thanks to Borders for offering fans this courtesy!

Special Event to Include Author Q&A, Autograph Session and A Musical Performance by Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October 

Fans Will Have the Opportunity to Text in Questions for Meyer’s Q&A Sessions

 NEW YORK (July 30, 2008) — Stephenie Meyer fans who are unable to attend the beloved author’s sold-out four-city Breaking Dawn Concert Series tour will be able to enjoy the events from the comfort of their own home via Entertainment Weekly’s EW.com. EW.com will host two live webcasts of the special concert series being held in celebration of the release of Meyer’s highly anticipated novel, Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment of the internationally bestselling Twilight Saga. The Breaking Dawn Concert Series will include a Q&A and autograph session as well as a special musical performance by one of Meyer’s inspirations, Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October. This special concert series will kick off at the Nokia Theatre on August 1 in New York City and continue onto Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle. EW.com will live stream the August 1 New York event at 7:00 p.m EDT and the August 7 Los Angeles event at Royce Hall at 8:00pm PDT.  iClips.net is providing the content, and producing the live video for these events via the iClips.net live streaming video platform.

As part of the Breaking Dawn Concert Series, fans will be able to text in their questions for Meyer courtesy of Waterfall Mobile, a select few of which Meyer will answer during the live broadcast of her Los Angeles event. The event will also feature special musical guest Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October, who will perform several songs during the concert, including those that have appeared on Meyer’s playlists: Sound of Pulling Heaven Down and Hate Me from New Moon, and Overweight from Eclipse.  Meyer has said that Furstenfeld’s music has played a major role in her writing and has even inspired scenes in the Twilight Saga.

In less than three years, Meyer has become a publishing phenomenon with more than 10 million copies of the Twilight Saga in-print in the U.S. Fan anticipation is reaching a feverish high with the film adaptation of Meyer’s first book in the series, Twilight, scheduled to be released in December 2008. The stars of Twilight, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, were recently featured in character on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.  Meyer’s fourth and final installment in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, will be released at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008.

Twilight Hands Around the World

Months ago a Twilight fan named RedLotusFlower came up with an idea.  An idea to show her anticipation for the long awaited final book in the Twilight Series.  Twilighters around the globe in places such as Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia, Germany, England, Canada, and the United States joined with her and sent us pictures of their devotion to the series.  Enjoy.
