Twilight Examiner Interviews Peter Facinelli

The Twilight Examiner had a chance to talk to Peter Facinelli about New Moon, Nurse Jackie, and his hopes for Eclipse:

“Having just wrapped The Twilight Saga: New Moon with director Chris Weitz, Facinelli is to be back on the Twilight set once again – this time with David Slade for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I asked Facinelli whether he was surprised at all that his work in Twilight has potentially led to a four-part film series. Said he, “Well, when we first shot it, you know, I think no one really knew that it was going to be this big. I think we were just hoping to satisfy the fans of the books, and we knew there was this underground following. Again, no one really knew it was going to snowball into this huge thing… kind of like my Twitter bet… No one knew it was going to snowball into that huge thing either.”

You can get the entire interview on the Examiner.

Jackson Rathbone: The Examiner Gets Personal

Gabrielle Long of the Examiner interviews Jackson Rathbone, and got some answers to a variety of personal questions.

Gabrielle: What are qualities you look for in women?

Jackson: I look for a woman with a sincere smile and a love of the arts.  I love being able to go out on crazy dates, like breaking into zoos after hours, so a woman who has a sense of adventure… but I also love a calm night of jamming on a beach at midnight with a bonfire, whiskey, and friends… so a woman who can hang in any situation and not get too clingy if I’m playing some music and spending time with my friends and family.

Get a New Moon IPhone App

Jonathan, an IPhone and ITouch application designer, contacted us about a great giveaway he has going. He tells us that:

“I’ve been doing Mac development on the side for several years, but just recently began focusing on iPhone. I was looking for an idea to get the ball rolling and my wife suggested these New Moon Countdown clocks. She tore through the books last summer, and had expanded her school’s library with additional copies to meet the demand.  We worked closely together to build the programs.

I found it interesting that these books would be so enthralling to young adults, but also sad that there are many people who would not get the chance to read them. Early on I thought it would be great to be able to use some of the proceeds from the applications to donate books from the series in my community so that even more people could share Bella and Edward’s adventures.

To promote the app and help my community, I’m planning on donating a book from the Twilight saga for every 100 downloads until July 30th. The books will go to women and children’s centers, schools, and libraries in the Seattle metro area.

More information about the app can be found here(link now fixed): http://hohle.net/projects/newmooncountdown/

Now the other cool thing is that Jonathan has given us codes for two lucky Lexiconers to get the app for free for their IPhones or ITouches. All you have to do to be in the running is to respond to this entry with the words “Pick me Team Edward” or “Pick me Team Jake” depending on which app you’d rather have.  We’ll select a random person from each category on Thursday.

Melissa Rosenberg: Video The Making of The Twilight Saga

Robert Pattinson in Cuffs

Everyone take a moment and get their mind back in PG-13 mode.  OK now that you are refocused, Robert Pattinson continues to film Remember Me, an upcoming film for Summit Entertainment, in various locations in and around New York City.

Many of the movies scenes include exterior shots that have been captured by press and fans alike. RadarOnline has the latest one of Rob “being arrested” for the film.

The movie which co-stars Emilie DeRavin and Pierce Brosnan is currently scheduled to premiere on February 12, 2010 just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Robert Pattinson: Sexiest Man on the Planet

Well at least according to the UK-based Heat magazine he is.

According to the magazine’s editor Julian Linley, “[Robert]is obviously very easy on the eye, but a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in Twilight – strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women’s fantasy boyfriend”.

You can buy a copy of the magazine when it hits newsstands on Friday.
