Bella and Edward continue their honeymoon with Edward constantly trying to distract Bella from wanting to have sex by keeping her fully entertained. She continues to eat and eat, which is usually followed by immediately falling into a long sleep.
Bella tries to make a deal with Edward that she will stay human for at least another year if he will make love to her again. Edward refuses, despite how tempted he is. Bella tells him of the nightmares she’s been having and the ever present fear she has of the Volturi.
Later that night, Bella awakes from a very vivid dream of her and Edward making love. She begs him, repeating the word “please” until he can no longer resist her. They make love, this time without any harm or bruising. Edward admits that now that he knows what to expect, he believes he can avoid hurting her.
They agree to watch a movie just as Kaure and Gustavo, part the cleaning staff, arrives. Kaure argues with Edward over Bella’s safety explaining that she knows what kind of a creature Edward is, but eventually gives up.
