According to the video Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas Howard decided to “research” every aspect of their parts.
The UK site Digital Spy has just posted its interviews with Alex Meraz and Booboo Stewart, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and David Slade.
Their David Slade interview is here. They haven’t loaded it to their YouTube Channel yet.
Starting at the .55 mark hear about Xavier’s upcoming projects.
Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, and Alex Meraz talk about their views on why the films have such appeal.
Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, and Jackson Rathbone talk about the potential male appeal.
Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Xavier Samuel cover their characters and conflict.
Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, and Liz Reaser also chime in on the male aspect.
Is it just us, or does Xavier get more adorable in each one of these?
No, it’s not a scam or a pirated download looking to fry your computer with an attached virus. It’s a legitimate offer from LogoTV to watch Newcastle online. (see the trailer in the video below).
Newcastle is an indie movie Xavier Samuel made back in 2008. According to the IMDB description. “‘Newcastle’ is a coming-of-age/family drama/surfing movie. 17-year old Jesse lives in the shadow of his older brother Victor’s failure to become surfing’s Next Big Thing. Even when he’s in his natural habitat of magnificent surf breaks, his blue-collar future is brought home by the coal barges that constantly line his horizon. Jesse has the natural skills to surf his way out of this reality and onto the international circuit but can he overcome his equally natural ability to sabotage himself? A momentous weekend away with his mates that includes first love and tragedy leads him to discover what’s really important, and also to the performance of a lifetime.”
Please note that the movie was not rated by the MPAA that we could find, but judging by the Australian and Japanese ratings it is highly likely it would have been rated R for nudity and mature subject matter.
“Fellow Eclipse newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard, 29, (who takes over the role of Victoria from Rachelle LeFevre) seduces young Riley in the film.
In real life, Samuel calls the two especially good friends. “She’s so professional and she works harder than anyone I’ve ever met in my life,” he says of Howard, who even offered the temporarily homeless actor her couch in L.A. once filming wrapped.
Samuel spent two weeks hanging out with Howard’s young family, “really wonderful people,” he says of her husband, Seth Gabel, and their young son, Theo. Although he’s now renting in West Hollywood, he recently attended Theo’s third birthday party and noshed on barbecue with Bryce’s rather famous father, director Ron Howard.
Did he schmooze his way into a film? “I don’t know if I’d be so lucky,” he quips. “I haven’t really broached the subject with Ron yet.”
