USA Today has come up with a list of actors on teh rise and Rami Malek, who plays Benjamin, was lists:

“Rami Malek, 30

Starring in:Larry Crowne, the dramedy written and directed by Tom Hanks. Malek plays Steve, an obnoxious college classmate of Hanks, whom he knew from their 2010 HBO series The Pacific. Steve “gets by on doing the least amount of work he can possibly do. He’s a fun-loving guy who partakes in a little pot-smoking now and then,” Malek says.

Next up:The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2, which features Malek as bloodsucker Benjamin. “The idea of playing a vampire always seemed very cool to me,” Malek says. “I want to fly under the radar and do character parts, and this is one of them, but it also comes with the massive appeal of the Twilight movie.” He’s also shooting Paul Thomas Anderson’s top-secret drama, about which he reveals nothing. “They made me refrain from saying anything other than I am in the movie. I’m not getting in trouble on this one!”

And off-screen: The California native loves the great outdoors and has a green thumb. “I live surrounded by nature and I like to be out and do all that stuff. I go for road trips. I just like getting out and enjoying the beautiful weather.”

“It [working on Larry Crowne] was an experience where you just kind of watch what’s happening. You can’t take your eyes off her[Julia Roberts] and he [Tom Hanks]has you in stitches the entire time. Some call it work, but I wouldn’t call it that.”

Kellan Lutz and Rami Malek Ask Fans to “Get on the Float”

The other day Kellan Lutz Tweeted a photo of him, Rami Malek (Benjamin) and Casey LeBow (Kate) spending the day building houses for the St. Bernard Project. The St. Bernard Project has nothing to do with lovable dogs, rather it’s all about building homes in post-Katrina Louisiana. They routinely partner with other well-known organizations such as Americorps and the United Way

Here’s the link to the fund Rami and Kellan are talking about.

According to their press release this is what the “Get on the Float” initiative is all about:

Get on the Float — Help SBP rebuild 20 families homes and raise $ 350,000 this Mardi Gras Season.

Carnival season is New Orleans’ biggest time of year. Hundreds of thousands of travelers from around the globe descend upon the Crescent City for the celebration that is Mardi Gras. [Read more...]

Kellan Lutz Builds Houses in New Orleans With Rami Malek, Casey LaBow and Richard???

Kellan Lutz just Tweeted the above pictures and said, “Great day having cast mates Rami, Casey, and Richard come and get dirty with me, working on Rosalie’s house with the St. Bernard Project. ”

Kellan has done charity work with this group before with former girlfriend Anna Lynn McCord. According to the group’s website this is what they are all about:

Mission
The mission of the St. Bernard Project is to create housing opportunities so that Hurricane Katrina survivors can return to their homes and communities. The St. Bernard Project, a nonprofit, community-based organization carries out its mission through three primary programs: Rebuilding Program, Center for Wellness and Mental Health and Opportunity Housing Program.

History
The St. Bernard Project was started in March 2006 by Zack Rosenburg and Liz McCartney after the couple volunteered in St. Bernard in February. During their initial month of service, they met residents who were courageous, spirited and determined to rebuild their lives and community. They shared their stories, opened their homes and made Liz and Zack laugh, cry and question their own values. Inspired by the residents’ collective spirit, openness and fierce desire to rebuild their lives and community, Zack and Liz decided to create an organization that would provide vital resources and support to families in a seamless and timely manner. The St. Bernard Project’s programs and goals are directly driven by the needs expressed by the community members.”

We are assuming that Rosalie is the lady in the photo with the Tweetie Bird shirt. As for who the heck Richard is, we have no idea, but he sure is tall. Maybe, Dan Cudmore’s stand in?(EDITED: Consensus on Twitter seems to be that Richard is Kellan’s personal assistant.)
