You have to love the “Boot Knockin” euphamism. Jackson seems to a ton of good ole boy references like that.

AIM HIGH, which debuts on Cambio and Facebook today, is the story of a young man leading a double life — juggling his studies by day and serving as a government agent by night. This series chronicles the life of Nick Green (Jackson Rathbone), a junior who’s just starting a new school year as one of the country’s 64 highly trained teenage operatives. When he’s not handling international spies, Nick is dreaming of Amanda Miles (Aimee Teegarden), the most popular girl in school, who’s cool, intelligent and very alluring.  AIM HIGH is the first “social series” which allows Cambio and Facebook users to become part of the show through seamlessly integrating their Facebook profile information – including photos, text and friends – by simply opting into the application on the show’s Facebook page!

Warner Bros. Digital Distribution (WBDD) today announced “Aim High,” the first-ever “social series” from a Hollywood studio, has debuted on Cambio (www.cambio.com) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/aimhighseries).  Consumers can now become part of the show by seamlessly integrating their profile information – including photos, text and friends – by simply opting into the application on the show’s Facebook page or by registering on Cambio and linking to the account to Facebook.  The action comedy series “Aim High” is produced by Warner Premiere and Dolphin Entertainment, starring Jackson Rathbone (“Twilight”), Aimee Teegarden (“Friday Night Lights”), Johnny Pemberton (“21 Jump Street”), Rebecca Mader (“Lost”) and Greg Germann (“Ally McBeal”).

By choosing to watch “Aim High” in a personalized viewing mode through the show’s Facebook page or on Cambio, viewers are able to see themselves or their friends integrated into select scenes throughout the series – from their photo appearing on a student body election poster, to having their name seen as graffiti on the bathroom wall.  This video application not only allows consumers to have an immersive and engaging viewing experience, but also a social one where they can share comments, scenes and Tweets about their favorite moments from the show.

“‘Aim High’ is truly an innovative series as it allows the viewer to become part of the show,” said Thomas Gewecke, President of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.  “We’re already exploring ways to develop this technology further and offer additional immersive features.”

“Our goal when creating ‘Aim High’ was to bring the quality a viewer would expect from a film or broadcast TV show to the online space,” said McG, Producer of “Aim High.”    “’Aim High’ is really a giant step forward for entertainment and I’m excited to see how fans will react to the show.”

Jackson Rathbone Talks to Collider About Aim High

In their on going promotion of the Facebook series Aim High, Jackson Rathbone and Aimee Teegarden talked with Collider about how they became involved with this project, the difficulties they faced with the characters, and closing the book on a huge chapter of their lives with Breaking Dawn and with Teegarden’s Friday Night Lights.

Collider:  What did doing this as a web series allow for, that you wouldn’t have been able to do on TV?

RATHBONE: It’s interesting, we got out of the constraints of network television. Even if you look at network television, the constraints are getting a little wider. They’re pushing the boundaries, constantly. What we wanted to do was push the boundaries on the internet, a little bit. It’s not that racy. We’re not saying anything that’s highly inappropriate. It’s not a Quentin Tarantino script. But, it’s really fun, it’s edgy and it’s that dark comedy. It rides the line. It toes it and sneers at it.

Jackson Rathbone Talks About “Aim High”

ShockYa has an interview with Jackson Rathbone about his new web series “Eight Days.”  Jackson plays a high school student with a duel life as a spy.  The series, which was shot in only eight days, will be integrated with the viewer’s Facebook accounts to set up a viewing experience that will be unique for each person.

ShockYa: So with “Aim High,” was one of the main goals was to have people interact with it when it comes to the web series? I’m referring to how the series works in regards to integrating it on Facebook.

Jackson Rathbone: Thinking about it, if you were to watch it with your friend on her computer in her account it would be different than how you’d watch it on your account because it’s being personalized to whatever Facebook page you’re on. If you’re on your Facebook page it’ll be personalized to you and your friends. My mom has Facebook, I really want to watch it with her. I want to be like ‘Mom, there you are!’ That’s funny to me, I would crack up. I think it gives it a unique viewing experience. It’s not like the whole world changes with it, it’s not like — the show doesn’t exist on that. The story is really fun, it’s cute and it’s quirky and it’s dark at times. It’s really fun to watch and the action sequences are really awesome. I really love the last action sequence in the series.

Jackson Rathbone Talks Training More Complex Than For Jasper in Aim High

Jackson Rathbone’s new webseries airs later this month and he is talking about how they think it’s going to be groundbreaking. Not only is it entirely web-based, but you the viewer can participate via social media. Originally slated for a summer debut, it is now scheduled for October 18th.

TeenTV: How will teens get to interact with the show on Facebook and what will appear on screen when they do it?

Jackson:  You can watch it from your Facebook account and then your pictures and profiles and writing on your “wall” will appear in the foreground or background. If you want to watch it without that aspect, you can. Your “graffiti” could be on the wall or pictures of friends and family can be in posters. . But, if you personalize it and then watch it on your friend’s computer, it’ll look different.  I want to watch it on my mom’s Facebook account. I want to see my mom in it! “Mom! You’re on TV! Look!” She doesn’t know about it yet. I’m gonna call her.

TeenTV: Jackson, what martial arts training did you do for this because you are jumping all over the place. I don’t think Jasper’s action is the same.

Jackson: Oh no it’s not. I’ve studied martial arts as a kid then I did a bit of Kung Fu and Krav Maga on The Last Airbender. Then I kept up my training here and there with these stunt guys that I became really good friends with during the making of that movie. We actually brought them in to be the choreographers and the coordinators for “Aim High”. We were lucky because these guys work on the biggest budget action films there are. They made the show look ultra-bad-ass with their choreography.
