As they rev up for the release of The Breaking Dawn — Part 1 Extended Edition and Breaking Dawn — Part 2 on Blu-ray and DVD on March 2 new images are coming out. Behind the scenes at the nightmare wedding at EW!
Thankfully this isn’t like New Moon where we had to buy three versions just to get all the extras! The DVD’s are basically the same content no matter who you order it from it’s the packaging perks that are different. Though the Walmart version also has Bruno Mars and Chritina Perri videos on it ( hit youtube and you can see those as they have been out for months)
So, help out your fellow Twilight fans who haven’t run to the store or online yet.
Which DVD/blu-ray did you buy?
Which retailer did you get it from?
One thing we realized this morning was that the Blu-ray special edition (the one with the packaging that matches the special editions from the other films)was only available from Target online. You could get the basic blu-ray in the store.
Also what is your favorite part in the extras?
—Perk= fabric poster on the wedding dressing version
—-Perk=prop flower used at wedding in collectors tin collectors edition
Version available any place

Once again the Twilight Lexicon will be hosting a Twilight Saga Movie Event for Breaking Dawn in Nashville, TN. The event will take place on the morning of Saturday, Nov 19 at 9:30 am. We will be using the Carmike Cinema Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, TN. (633 Frazier Drive Franklin,TN 37064) This is the same theatre we have used for the last three events in Nashville.
Tickets are $15.00 each which covers the cost of admission to the movie as well as the opportunity to win one of our many prizes. We have spent over the last year gathering autographs, photos, merchandise, jewelry, books, and every other type of Twilight related memorabilia we could get our hands on from many of the companies who support Twilight products. Hot Topic, Infinite Jewelry, and Creation Entertainment have all donated generously to the event. There won’t be a gift bag. Instead, every person in attendance will win a prize, whether it’s an autographed copy of Breaking Dawn from Stephenie Meyer, tickets to a convention, T-shirts, or decorative buttons or pins. Whatever it may be, we promise that everyone will win a prize!
Doors will open by 8 am. Seats are on a first come, first served basis. Concessions will be open, so give yourself time to get your seat and your popcorn. Our give away will begin no later than 8:45 am.
Tickets can be ordered through Paypal by filling out the form below. You can use your Paypal account or a credit card to order your tickets. You will receive a confirmation from Paypal that the tickets have been ordered. Following that within five business days, you will receive another e-mail from us with all the specifics of the event that you will need to print off and bring with you on Nov. 19 to the movie theatre. You will exchange this confirmation e-mail for printed tickets at the theatre box office.
We’re very excited for the event and can’t wait to see you all there! Lori and Shelley (Alphie and Something Blue) will be in Nashville for the event. Be sure to get your tickets early so you don’t miss out on all the amazing prizes we have to give away!
NOTE: There seems to be an issue with IPHONE users completing their transactions via PayPal. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are not sure if it extends to IPad and other smart phones. We are working on it. In the interim we recommend using traditional PCs or MACs.
Update Nov 14 2011: Tickets are no longer being sold as we need to get the final numbers in to the theater.
Fandango is reporting that their email to give customers a heads up to Breaking Dawn going on sale was an unprecedented success. Usually email pieces like that count themselves lucky with a 5% rate of return. According to the industry publication Media News Daily:
Click-through rates for any consumer marketing emails can be in on the low side — in the single digits. But one entertainment property, “The Twilight Saga” — at least with repeat customers — continues to buck that trend.
Digital movie ticket company Fandango says it has witnessed an eye-popping 57% click-through rate from a special email sent out earlier this month to previous “Twilight” consumers for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.”
“This was an extraordinarily effective email campaign for us — one that was designed to raise awareness of the “Breaking Dawn” tickets-on-sale date of Oct. 1,” says Ted Hong, chief marketing officer of Fandango. “Paperless Post was a natural partner for a digital wedding invitation, and we heard from many “Twilight” fans about what a kick it was to get an invite to the Cullen celebration. We hope we can continue creating innovative solutions like this one, which help start conversations about the ticketing for upcoming movies.”
It’s too early to get full results just yet, but the question is will Breaking Dawn blow away the record set by New Moon on presale tickets?
A lot of this is still in flux, so if your country hasn’t popped up yet all hope is not lost. These things usually have to be worked out with film festival organizers and such, actors filming schedules on other projects, and lots of other details like plain old dollars and cents.
The Twilight Examiner has an excellent listing of what we know so far with the following countries:
Check out her site for full details.
Mary from Italian Twilight Moms also supplied us with this tidbit:

For the period from October 27 to November 5, 2011 will be active, also the ticket officeinside the Cinema Village in Viale P. De Coubertin.
They haven’t yet given specifics about Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone’s appearances”
We also learned today that Robert Pattinson, Bill Condon, and Taylor Lautner would be at the UK Premiere. This is the first premiere (as opposed to fan event or film festival) where the cast will be.
Tickets are onsale tomorrow for Breaking Dawn part 1 on fandango and several other online services. The last two movies have set box office records for presales. Do you think that Breaking Dawn will top the previous two Twilight movies in presales?
