Video: New Clip “Welcome Home”

Here is a new clip from Breaking Dawn Part 2 hosted by EW called “Welcome Home” where Bella sees the cottage for the first time.

Just as a funny story to add to this, my daughter watched this clip over my shoulder.  She’s 8 and knows just enough about the Twilight Saga, but not all the more adult details.  (And she’s MAJOR Team Jacob, By the way.)  Anyway, after watching this clip she said, “Wait… vampires don’t sleep?”  I said, “Nope!”  And she said, “Well, at least they can lay down on the bed and rest!” Oh… if only she knew!

Jack Morrissey Answers more Breaking Dawn 2 Questions at Team Jack

Team Jack released another set of questions and answers from Jack Morrissey about Breaking Dawn Part 2.  Here are some of the highlights.

Will Heart of Stone be on the BD2 soundtrack?

Jack: Yes, it will.

At Comic Con press conference Kristen said vamp sex was rated R, so no sex scenes in BD2 at all?!

Jack: Um, you’re gonna get what you want, believe me.

Where are Edward, Bella and Renesmee when everyone else is gathered around the fire? In the tent?

Jack: Bella and Renesmee are, yes – you’ve seen that still. Edward is right outside, talking with Carlisle.

Will we hear Bella’s Lullaby in Carter Burwell’s score?

Jack: Yes, of course. That’s always been a main theme as it’s essentially Bella’s story, isn’t it.

What does Renesmee call her parents? Mom and Dad? Or momma like in the book?

Jack: Momma, I think.

Are we going to see some Charlie/Sue love during the Christmas scenes?

Jack: Yes, you will!

Will we see the necklace Aro sent to Bella as a wedding gift? It wasn’t in the trailer.

Jack: Yes you will. 99.9999999 percent of the movie is not in any trailer or still.

Read the whole Q&A at Team Jack.

Summit Confirms Breaking Dawn Is Business as Usual

We feel kind of silly posting this, because we didn’t see how whatever is going on in anyone’s personal lives was going to change their contractual obligations to promote a film, or for that matter stop people from seeing a franchise that they all love. However since it’s an official statement, we’re running it to quell any lingering doubts.

In an exclusive statement to EW, Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, Nancy Kirkpatrick says: “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”

We’ve see a lot of discussion about the fall press junket being potentially awkward. Just as a point of reference, unlike Comic Con where people are lined up together at the same table for press conferences and fan panels, the fall press junkets have always been solo events when it comes to Rob, Kristen, and Taylor. In other words, not being with other actors on stage is the norm. The actors with smaller parts have always been doubled or tripled up, but the trio has always had time alone for press Q & A…well as alone as you can be on stage by yourself in a room with 100 press people in it. Also red carpet arrivals (if so desired) can easily be staggered so people are not on top of each other. In fact, as attendees can attest, the stars maybe pose for one or two group shots, but they then walk the carpet solo, not with another cast mate. So, could things get awkward? Possibly, but not as awkward as you might imagine.

SPOILERS: Breaking Dawn 2 footage at SDCC

Here’s a run down of the footage that was shown at Comic Con. If you are trying to avoid spoilers, don’t read any further.

Bill Condon introduced the first clip and said since it has been 8 months since Bella opened her eyes, he figured it would be a good place to start. Then we saw the first 7 minutes of the film.

Bella opened her eyes and honed in on every specific detail of the room highlighting her new vampire senses. Then she and Edward touched hands and Edward said the line from the trailer, “We’re the same temperature now.” Bella hugged him and he said she was going to have to be careful with him now. Then they kissed.

Bella asks to see Renesmee. Edward points out Bella’s thirst and takes her hunting. She ends up smelling the human mountain climber and instead of killing him, jumps off a cliff and heads in the other direction. She then takes down a mountain lion, biting it in the jugular.

Bella and Edward go home and are greeted by Jacob who says the line from the trailer, “I didn’t expect you to be so you” Jacob explains that he’s the test to see if Bella can handle seeing Nessie. Bella smells him and tells him he stinks.

The second footage we saw was the Cullen family giving advice to Bella on how to act human around Charlie. They put in brown contacts and then proceed to deliver the lines from the book about moving slowly and crossing her legs when she sits. So Bella darts across to a chair a d then very carefully crosses her legs. They say not to sit too straight, so Bella slouches. Blink every 3 seconds, and Bella blinks very fast. Move your shoulders so you look like you’re breathing, and she awkwardly lifts her shoulders. Then she stands up and says she’s got it, move slow, blink, and slouch.

Everything looked just wonderful!
