Seraphyn’s movie connection

So, I’m helping out the Borders in Tallahasee with their Breaking Dawn pre-release events, one of which is a series of book discussions. Today we held the first one and had a great turnout! There was even a very vocal and wonderful Twilight guy! About halfway through the discussion, I was very surprised to see another guy join us. He picked up a copy of Twilight, pulled up a chair, and listened very attentively. We continued going through the book chapter by chapter and I eventually brought up the movie and the similarities and differences there were going to be between the two when the latecomer finally spoke up.
"My little brother is playing Laurent in that," he commented.
After a moment of stunned silence, there was a whole lot of screeching.
This guy who just happened to be in the right store on the right day at the right time and just happened to overhear our discussion group was Edi Gathegi’s older brother. He was incredibly nice and very interested in the whole Twilight phenomenon. He wanted to know what we thought of the book and was fascinated by the groups obsession with the stories. He has yet to read any of the books, but he said he’s heard nothing but good things from Edi about both the series and the movie. He was also kind enough to let us take a picture with him! I don’t think the poor guy knew what he was getting into when he told us who he was!

I know that Barns and Noble stores are having the Breaking Dawn parties at well. I know that the one out where I live is having one.

wow wow. Thats a coincidence!!! I think he was being a little braggy though. I mean he just brought up like it was nothing special, when he knew it was. But still! I envy the anyone who lives in Tallahassee and likes the borders there! OMG!! But still, all actors and actresses are still normal people with normal lives with normal job oh and who am I kidding!! This is Twilight we’re talking about here!!!! This isn’t just a game!!! This is the real thing!!!! And breaking dawn…… is gonna be awesome.

Everything is related. Twilight will soon be in every crevice of our lives. It’s everywhere. And everything all loops back to how it started.
WOW! Lucky, poor guy probably didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he said that. WOW!
The universe is being taken over with Twilight; everything ends up relating to Twilight.
I think this is more than a coincident.

LoL! Yeah, he said that Edi had told him about the incredible reactions the Twilighters were capable of, but I don’t think his brother believed it until he saw our reactions to everything. It was hilarious and a lot of fun!

Omg. I’m the girl with the leggings and the “Twilight guy” is Neo
my boyfriend in the blue shirt, the girl in the black shirt is Randi, the girl with the blue shirt is Mckenzie (sorry if I didn’t spell it right!) and the girl right beside Nathan is Elizabeth.
We went out to dinner at Crispers right after (myself and Elizabeth, and Randi on the phone most of the time) and shrieked of excitement).
Nathan was sooo nice and I have no doubt that Edi will be the best Laurent possible. He was cast for a reason right?

Huh. How many Borders are having these pre-release events? Is it just a Tallahesse thing? Because obviously Borders hasn’t released details on pre-release events. How would we find out if our local bookstore happens to be having one?
Now thats a story to tell the kids lol. That is pretty cool, him just coming on that particular day. I wish I was there haha. You lucky people.

that’s AWESOME!!! I work at a borders in illinois and i had a crazy experience once as well. I was ringing up a girl who was buying twilight, so I was gushing telling her it was great, etc etc And then she’s like, “Well, my uncle is going to be in the movie when it comes out in December.”
My jaw dropped and I was like “Oh, who is your uncle?” Trying really really hard not to freak out on her lol
And she’s like “Peter Facinelli.”
…. And then I died.

Yes, most Borders stores are having a release party, so check your area for more info! There should be signs all over the actual stores, but I don’t think they’re going much local advertising.
And anyone in the Tally area, come to the next discussion group and the party on August 1st!! It’s going to be fabulous!

darn. But this is so exciting!!! I told my sister, and she didn’t even find it remotely interesting. I am totally going to get her addicted to the Twilight Series, even if it kills me.
That was so awesome! It would be so cool if relatives of Twilight actors just showed up to my local bookstore. Oh well. I guess I’m off to move to Tallahassee

Come to think of it, I don’t think our Barnes and Noble is doing anything besides the release party…. I doubt anyone famous is going to show up there. It doesn’t matter anyway cause I’m not going to be there…and now I’m ranting.

I wish I could come, I’m glad to hear that there was a guy there to start, I’m trying sooo hard to get my dad to read Twilight and I’ve almost got him! And things like this help me to convince him. Good luck and have fun with the rest of your discusions!
