  1. My eyes are flooded with tears! That was so sweet!

  2. Cindi E. Gilland says:

I’m not dying, but if i was that would be my wish too!! lol!

  3. Brandi P. says:

I didn’t know it was possible, but he just got better looking in my eyes. What a wonderful human being.

  4. All I can say is what a great guy

  5. Melanie Lopez says:

It’s a shame that this kind of stories doesn’t get more publicity or more attention, and truly see how nice, humble and sweet the Twilight cast is, Instead people care more about bashing them and making up stories.
Great gesture Rob, you are truly on of a kind in this world. He also did that screening, to help a school for teen girls.

  6. I mean, it’s nice that he went over to sign an autograph and say hi to her and take a picture and all, but I was sort of expecting that maybe someone would set something up so that he could spend a few minutes talking to her. I mean, the woman is dying. I don’t place a lot of expectations on celebrities normally and I know he was just doing what his publicity people told him to do, but the payoff was a bit of a let down. He got rushed away from her really quickly by his people.

    • Yeah, I felt the same. For all of the fuss they were making I was expecting a lot more.

    • Tina Holewinski says:

It wasn’t a planned thing though. They are on a tight schedule at events like these, so the fact that he even stopped during his jam packed schedule to talk to a fan was something. Most people don’t realize that a lot of the time when actors/celebrities/singers want to say “hi” to fans, they are being told “no” by publicists, event organizers, etc. and being rushed to the next interview, photo op, or event. So I think he did go out of his way….

      • I agree with Tina. They do have a very tight schedule. I think they had interviews to do afterwards? I’m not sure.

  7. Just when I thought I couldn’t love him even more.

  8. I remember seeing this on the livefeed and I was completely in awe. No matter what haters say about Rob and Kristen…they are amazing people and should be given the credit they deserve. They know that if it weren’t for the fans they would not be where they are today.

  9. Olga Podolean says:

thank you, for making my day too!

  10. Lol! I wish ALL celebs did dat 2 me! TEAM EDWARD! :)

  11. A very nice gesture. Kudos to the publicist that assisted in making this possible instead of just blowing the local reporter off. I would like to think that many more celebrities would do things like this on the spur of the moment but are not even made aware of them due to their staff. Obviously Rob has surrounded himself with decent people like himself.

  12. I am not surprised at all, he is a very gracious gentleman (besides only an asshole of the first order would refuse someone’s dying wish, even if it is only to meet an actor).

Taylor, Robert spent quite a few minutes talking to this sweet lady, so what you see on the video here is just a small bit. I was watching the ceremony live on ustream, and I particularly remembered, near the end of the video the lady in her wheelchair, and watched them converse animatedly for a few minutes. So much so, I was wondering what the story there was. “Did they know each other?” “Family member?”

    This is MUCH better. =)

So no worries, Rob did take the time out for her. ;)

  13. Joshua L. Roberts says:

I can’t imagine… nearly imagine how awkward, scary, crazy, and honored Rob must have felt. Before anybody starts to judge Rob or anything… You have to realize that as this wasn’t planned, Rob had no time to prepare for the event, and folks this is major. This unfortunate woman is literally hanging on to Rob’s every words, and honestly what do you say to a person who is dying? A person who’s last living wish, isn’t to have more time with her family… more time with her friends… going to some fantastic place…but to meet a celebrity.

For those of us, who’ve followed Rob since Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, he is a very humble and more often than not self-depreciating man. Believe me, if somebody told me that their dying wish was to meet me, I’d probably vomit and then pass out. :P

  14. Vibhor Agrawal says:

That is so sweet, I always knew Robert ans Kristen were the best!

  15. Yeah, indeed Joshua. Really, what do you say to that? “Sorry, no.” Unthinkable. Although, us fans don’t really ‘know’ Rob, I think it is safe to say, from what we know of him through interviews, his words, actions, that he is absolutely not the kind of person to refuse something like this…although it may have scared the shit out of him, lol. He did good =)
