  1. Monica Keller says:

Go All The Way (Into the Twilight) might be one of the worst songs ever, not just in the movie. Best Song on any of the soundtracks, Roslyn by Bon Iver. Or Hearing Damage by Radiohead! Best soundtrack to me was New Moon. A ton of amazing groups and music on there! The Twilight Anthem is definately Decode by Paramore – heck yeah!

    • Brittany Jackson says:

I agree 100 % that new moon is the best soundtrack so far. Roslyn by Bon Iver is amazing. So many great songs on there. I listen to it almost daily. It is also my favorite movie so far which Im sure partly has to do with the music. Twilight and Eclipse also have some good tracks but I don’t think they are as well rounded as New Moon’s soundtrack.

  2. My favorite artist on the soundtracks would have to be Muse. And I think the Eclipse Soundtrack hit the nail on the head. Florence and the Machine – Heavy in Your Arms would have to be my favorite on the soundtrack. Decode was great on Twilight. Bon Iver was great on New Moon. Sooooo many great songs!!

  3. I think Eclipse (All Yours) by Metric represents the Twilight Saga best.
Muse should be present on all the soundtracks. Stephenie Meyer feels strongly about them and they have been on 3 soundtracks so far. Why stop now?
Best Songs: Twilight- Flightless Bird (American Mouth) by Iron and Wine, New Moon- I Belong To You by Muse, Eclipse- My Love by Sia

  4. Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

Eclipse Soundtrack. Least Favourite: New Moon

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

My favourite song is Flightless Bird, American Mouth; Supermassive Black Hole and Ours. Least favourite: What part of forever and going all the way (into the twilight)

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?

    Flightless Bird, American Mouth

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?

Muse. Because they were Stephenie Meyer’s inspiration while writing the Saga.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?

    Muse

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?

Twilight: Flightless Bird, American Mouth and Supermassive Black Hole
    New Moon: Possibility
Eclipse: Ours, My Love, With You In My Head, Jonathan Low, Neutron Star Collision, Eclipse(All Yours), Let’s Get Lost, Heavy In Your Arms.

  5. Wow Monica we are on the same page. I feel Eclipse is the most well rounded of the bunch. “Go all the Way” is just not a good song and I’m a big Perry Farrell fan.
My favorites by Album (limited to two per album)
Twilight – Eyes On Fire, Super Massive Black Hole (mostly because it is just a really good song) (Okay I’ll break my own rule cause Iron & Wine is just unadulterated genius)
New Moon – Hearing Damage (best song from all of the albums so far), Roslyn
Eclipse – Heavy in Your Arms (works on so many levels), Chop and Change (it’s just funky and powerful)

    Worst –
Twilight – Go All the Way
New Moon – Can’t think of one they’re all pretty good… Lykke Li’s is my least favorite though I think she is amazing.
Eclipse – Neutron Star Collision… hands down. What a disappointment.

My only complaint…. I want some Blue October.
All in all they are just really good albums. I knew the vast majority of the acts before the soundtracks as I’m really into Indie music, but it did introduce me to a couple of new ones like Bombay Bicycle Club and Eastern Conference Champions.

  6. Which soundtrack is your favorite?
-My favorite is the Twilight soundtrack. It’s the first soundtrack, so I think it’s the one that I associate with the most with The Twilight Saga.

    Which song is your favorite?
-My favorite song is Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke. Every time I hear it, it brings me right back to the scene with Victoria and the Wolf Pack. It sounds controlled, but still intense, which represents the scene perfectly.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
-I think this is a three way tie between, Full Moon, Bella’s Lullaby and Clair de Lune. Full Moon is the opener of Twilight, so that’s a given. Bella’s Lullaby, also a given. Although it’s mentioned in a different scene in the book, when Clair de Lune plays in the film, it’s the first scene where the audience see’s Edward as someone from another time.

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?
-MUSE! I think their powerful rock fusion sound represents The Twilight Saga in so many ways. Stephenie Meyer had her own “soundtrack” when writing The Twilight Saga and Muse was a common thread in the creation of all of the books.

  7. Twilight anthem Decode by Paramore, Bella’s lullaby.

    Best soundtrack New Moon.

The soundtracks have introduced me to new bands like Bon Iver, Sia, Band of Horses, and Muse just to name a few.

Best song for me is Let Me Sign by Rob Pattinson. I still don’t know why that is not on the soundtrack but plays at a very important part of the movie.

Twilight best songs Let Me Sign, Bellas Lullaby, Eyes on Fire, Decode, and Flightness Bird. New Moon best songs It’s a Possibility, Friends,Satellite Heart, and Roslyn. Eclipse best song My Love, Chop and Change, With You in my Head, Life on Earth, and Let’s Get Lost.

  8. Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

    Eclipse Soundtrack. Least Favorite: Twilight

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

My favourite song is Heavy in your arms by Florence; Least favourite: Going all the way (into the twilight)

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?

The song that I think best represents never made it to the soundtracks and that is Time is running out by Muse.
But if I had to pick one off the soundtracks I would say I belong to you by Muse

    Hurricane Bells

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?

    Twilight: Spotlight and Decode
    New Moon: Satellite heart
Eclipse: My Love, With You In My Head, Heavy In Your Arms.

  9. PixieWings36 says:

Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

I’d definitely have to say New Moon is my favorite. There aren’t many songs on there I don’t like, and they were incorporated SO WELL into the movie. I’m not sure I really have a least favorite, Twilight and Eclipse are probably a tie for me.

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?

It’s hard to pick a favorite! If I had to, though, it would probably be Flightless Bird, American Mouth or Roslyn. Least favorite… White Demon Love Song. I just don’t like it. lol

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to be the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?

Hmmm… Probably Full Moon, Flightless Bird, American Mouth, or Decode.

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?

MUSE. It’s just a given. Why stop now? Plus, I love Muse.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?

Muse- I had never heard of them before Twilight, and I listen to them almost daily now. The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine.

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?

    Twilight- Flightless Bird, American Mouth.
    New Moon- Roslyn.
    Eclipse- Heavy In Your Arms.

I’m really hoping they include For Annabelle by Band of Horses on the BDP1 soundtrack. Kristen suggested Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron and Wine for Twilight, and look how that turned out! DO IT people! lol

  10. Sakina Gonzalez says:

I would like to hear some more of Robert Pattinson. Also why not have some Jackson Rathbone band 100 Monkey. For my understanding Kristen Stewart can sing and plays the guitar, they should implement her in a song as well. Its a twilight frenchise, the books made the movie but the actors made it a hit. Implement them on the sound track.

  11. Q: Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
Eclipse is my favorite soundtrack, I listen to it all the time
Twilight is my least favorite, though Twilight has songs I love the most over all the soundtracks(Never Think, Linkin Park, Flightless Bird, Muse), I think collectively it has more songs that I don’t enjoyand listen to it fully the least.

Q: Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
I sincerley love so many that I can not take the time to write them all….
Least favorite so far would be Go all The Way(into Twilight)

Q:Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
I think the best anthem(lyrics wise) is All Yours by Metric and/or Neutron Star Collision by Muse. I feel like Lyrically these songs cover all the books and movies
I think the song Never Think by Rob Pattinson is the best Edward anthem…every single word brings me right into the heart and mind of Edward

Q:Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?

Muse for sure because of SM and they nail it every time
and I would have loved it even more if they would have put Rob Pattinson on each of the soundtracks
Robs songs(especially the way he sings them) have so much emotion, depth and soul, very much the way I see Edward

Q:Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?
Yes, to many to count. I love almost all of them and so many I wasn’t very familiar with a head of time.

Q:Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?

Twilight, I have 3..sorry I can not pick just one=): Never Think, Flightless Bird and Leave Out all the Rest

New Moon, No Sound But The Wind by the Editors for sure..so much heart, Hearing Damage by Thome York

Eclipse, again I have more than one: Lets Get Lost, Life On Earth and Heavy In Your Arms

  12. Favourite artists would have to be Paramore, MuteMath, Florence and the Machine, Iron and Wine- Flightless Bird, The Black Keys, The Black Ghosts (I think that’s what they’re called they did ‘Full Moon’ on the Twilight soundtrack), Rob Pattinson- Let Me Sign because it is so heartfelt and comes at a key point in the film and Band of Horses. So quite a few! Oh and of course, Supermassive Black Hole in the iconic baseball scene.

  13. I think my favorite soundtrack is New Moon. I get the best feeling from hte songs there, they are calm and kind of sad and I just find peace when I listen to it somehow. And there is soooo many great songs there, wihu.
My favorite song on New Moon… God, I L-O-V-E “Hearing Damage”, it’s on of my favorites of all time. “Roslyn” is soooo great also, but I have to say “Hearing Damage” wins this one.
On Twilight I really like… Hm, I think “Flightless Bird, American Mouth”, but “Never Think” is right behind it.
And from Eclipse I really like “What Part Of Forever”, “Heavy In Your Arm” & “My Love”. I can’t decide.

Thanks to “New Moon” and “Eclipse” I’ve got my eyes on Florence + The Machine and Bon Iver now. And I’m sooo grateful, both of them are amazing. I listen to them daily now, I can’t understand that I didn’t know abut them before.

“Decode” is a very ‘classic’ Twilight-song, can’t think of another track that could take it’s place. But Muse has to be on every soundtrack because they’re Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band and the insperied her alot while she was writing the books. Muse belongs a little in the Twilight-world now. I will be disapointment if they won’t return for Breaking Dawn pt 1 & 2.

  14. I’m showing my age here, but venture a comment anyway. I prefer the film scores to the soundtracks. I’ve been listening to classical music nearly exclusively for a number of years now and Twilight and NCIS are my only pop music listening and introduction to all of the bands. No, I have not gone out and bought any other albums for any of the bands.

Satellite Heart fits the movie scene the best. I prefer the New Moon and Twilight soundtracks. Don’t understand/hear the words on most of the Eclipse soundtrack. It is surprising that Muse is not included since inspired SM so much; Blue October another of her favourites I think. Wondering now where / when use Rob’s music- BD2? for Bella’s and Nessie’s lullibyes??

    • This may be a stupid question, but as stated not into pop music. Are the songs on the soundtracks written for the movies specifically or already out there and used? or maybe a mix?

  15. I think all three soundtracks were good. I think 2 of the worst songs from all three soundtracks came from Twilight which was Robert Pattinson’s song “Never Think”. I always skip that song. I passionately dislike it. But also “Go all the Way” runs in second for the worst. I would pick the song “Eclipse” by Metric the best song and a great Twilight saga theme song.

  16. My fave soundtrack is without a doubt the Twilight Soundtrack. My least favorite is probably Eclipse because a lot of the songs did not really relate to the film or what was happening in it.
My favorite song is Supermassive Blackhole by Muse on the Twilight Soundtrack and my least favorite is Atlas on the Eclipse Soundtrack.
Decode is definitely the anthem for the franchise and the one that when you hear it, you automatically think of Twilight.
Muse should be on every soundtrack because SM loves them, they have been on every other soundtrack, and their songs fit the soundtracks very well.
The soundtracks turned me on to Paramore and Florence + the Machine, but mainly Paramore.
Best songs: Twilight – tie between Decode and Supermassive Blackhole, New Moon – Hearing Damage, Eclipse – My Love by Sia.
Robert Pattinson should be on all of the soundtracks as well because he was amazing on the Twilight soundtrack and made it even better.

  17. Which soundtrack is your favorite?
New Moon is my favourite by far, because of the great roster of artists and the perfect placement of the songs within the movie. There is a very strong connection between the tone of the movie and the music chosen.

    Which is your least favorite?
Twilight – could leave everything on this soundtrack apart from “Flightless Bird…”, “Bella’s Lullaby” and “Full Moon”

Which song is your favorite? “Hearing Damage” – Thom Yorke, “Slow Life” – Grizzly Bear w Victoria Legrand
Which is your least favorite? Most of the tracks on Twilight soundtrack, but particulary “Love is Worth the Fall” – O.A.R. = HATE.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans? “Bella’s Lullaby” – Carter Burwell

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?
Twilight – “Flightless Bird, American Mouth” – Iron and Wine
New Moon – “Hearing Damage” – Thom Yorke
Eclipse – “Eclipse (All Yours)” – Metric

  18. It was really hard to narrow down my answers to just one! I love most of the songs on each soundtrack. So these are my favorites today. (And could very well change tomorrow! :) )

Which soundtrack is your favorite? Twilight

Which is your least favorite? (overall)Eclipse

Which song is your favorite? I Caught Myself – Paramore

Which is your least favorite? Jonathan Low (EC) and Go All The Way (TW)

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that
best represents the franchise to most fans? Decode by Paramore

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why? I hoped Muse would be just because they’ve contributed some great songs to the first 3 soundtracks & SM loves them

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time? I had never heard of Parmore prior to them being on the TW soundtrack. I loved both songs & decided to check them out & now they’ve become one of my favorite bands.

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack? TW:I Caught Myself NM: I Belong to You EC: Heavy In Your Arms

What else would you like to add about the soundtracks: Overall I like the TW, NM, & EC soundtracks. I really like how they have introduced me to new types of music & are more indie. I really hope the BD is like that as well. I can’t wait to hear the songs on the BD1.

  19. Morning Rose says:

Which soundtrack is your favorite? New Moon
Which is your least favorite? Maybe Eclipse, but not by much. They’re all pretty amazing in their own way.

Which song is your favorite? “Roslyn”, hands down… I listen to it everytime it starts raining :)
Which is your least favorite? “Go All The Way (Into The Twilight)”, something about it feels really cheesy to me.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans? Probably “Decode”

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why? Blue October or Muse, only because they influenced Stephenie so much you would think it it was a given… You would think :[

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time? Bon Iver/St. Vincent, Robert Pattinson :) Iron & Wine, BoH, F+TM

  20. New Moon is probably my favorite overall; I can’t really pick a least favorite.

“Decode,” “Heavy in Your Arms,” “My Love,” “Monsters,” and “The Violet Hour” all make it onto my favorite song list.

“Decode” is the song that stands with the franchise in my mind. Everything about the sound of it puts in mind the launching of this fandom and our rising excitement to see the books we loved go onscreen.

I would feel strange if Muse wasn’t on the soundtrack; Stephenie Meyer has mentioned them so much in conjunction with the books that it just feels necessary for them to remain a part of the movie soundtracks.

The soundtracks led me to buy music from Paramore, Mute Math, Florence + the Machine, and Muse.

From Twilight, I have to put “Decode” at the top, not because it fits the movie tone best but because it fits the fandom. From New Moon, I will say “The Violet Hour:” it conveys a softness and tenderness at the same time that it expresses heartache. Eclipse also has a lot of songs I love; Metric’s “Eclipse (All Yours)” conveys the general theme of the movie, but “My Love” stands perfectly for the emotional side.

In general, I think that these soundtracks are very well-done. There are always at least a couple of songs that make the movie scenes they’re in, and the soundtracks always give me a chance to explore some new things. I never like every single track, but I like enough songs to make it worth it.

  21. Which soundtrack is your favorite?: Twilight

Which is your least favorite?: New Moon

Which song is your favorite?: Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation from Twilight

Which is your least favorite?: Atlas by Fanfarlo from Eclipse

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to be the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?: Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine from Twilight

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?: Muse. Tho, I wouldn’t say HAS to be present on every soundtrack… it just feels wrong without them, lol.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?: yes, Muse & Paramore

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?: Twilight – Eyes on Fire, New Moon – Possibility, Eclipse – Chop and Change

  22. the eclipse soundtrack is by far the best one out of the 3 movies. I especially like heavy in your arms. that song is just amazing. but the new moon score is awesome. its just so beautiful alexandre desplat did a great job on it. i wish he was doing to breaking dawn score too :(

  23. Which Soundtrack is your favorite? I love them all, but if i had to pick one it’d be Twilight.
Which Soundtrack is your least favorite? Eclipse. I loved ALL of the songs on the other two, this one i only liked 6. but i still love it!
Which song is your favorite? Decode & I Caught Myself by Paramore are tied with My Love by Sia
which song is your least favorite? Chop and Change by The Black Keys
Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? Decode by Paramore
i think Muse has to be present on every soundtrack..just b/c they’re Steph’s favorite band and they’ve been on every one so far…..
the twilight soundtracks made me a HUGE Paramore fan, Florence + the machine & Sia fan.
Which song is the best on each of the soundtracks?
Twilight: Either Decode, I caught myself, or let me sign
New Moon: Satellite Heart or The Violet Hour
    Eclipse: My Love

  24. Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
    Favorite Soundtrack: New Moon
Least Favorite: Breaking Dawn, there is no Muse but instead we have Bruno flippin Mars.

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
Favorite song is Decode by Paramore, because it was the first song ever for Twilight. Plus, Paramore is amazing.
Least favorite, hm, Go all the Way (Into the Twilight). Just because Twilight is in the name, doesn’t mean it fits into the movie.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
    Decode by Paramore

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?
Muse! Because they inspired Stephenie Meyer and pretty much started it all.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?
Yes, Florence and the Machine and Sia. Thanks to the Eclipse soundtrack I am now obsessed with both of them.

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?
    Twilight- Decode
New Moon- Satelitte Heart (Anya Marina) and Possibility (Lykke Li)
    Eclipse- My Love (Sia)

What else would you like to add about the soundtracks.
The Twilight soundtracks have introduced me to many different artists. I love that they use relativley unknown people and not the mainstream junk that is on the radio now. What dissapoints me about the Breaking Dawn soundtrack is the absence of Muse and the apperance of Bruno Mars. If they would’ve switched the two then they would’ve had the perfect soundtrack for the second to last movie.

  25. Favorite soundtrack/least favorite soundtrack: I wouldn’t say favorite or least, because
All three have been great to listen to, but if placed them in 1,2,3 order, I’d go with New Moon, Twilight then Eclipse. But-They’ve all had strong songs!

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
My favorite song is “I belong to you” by Muse, it certainly summed up the New Moon movie. The “Going all the way (into the Twilight)” song was my least favorite.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to be the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
To me, Bella’s Lullaby and Decode would best represent the saga.

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?
Based on the playlists that I listened to from Stephenie’s website when I first started reading the saga, I’ve always felt that Muse and even Coldplay should be present on every soundtrack. They were all through her playlists, and the songs were so right for the books! Constantly listening to those playlists-That’s how I discovered those artists!

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?
Definitely Muse. LOVE them. Such great music. (Coldplay also, I really hadn’t listened to them before the Twilight saga.) Also, Paramore, Linkin Park and so many of the new up and coming artists presented on the soundtracks.

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtracks?
On Twilight, the best songs were Full Moon, (Let Me Sign-should have been on), Never Thinks, Leave out all the Rest and Decode.
On New Moon, the best songs were I Belong to You, Friends, Monsters, and Roslyn.
On Eclipse, the best songs were Lets Get Lost, Chop and Change, Heavy in your Arms and Neutron Star Collision.

What else would you like to add about the soundtracks.
I do wish that Coldplay could have had a song on there someplace. Actually, I wish the movies could’ve been made with music Stephenie had used to write by. That would’ve been awesome. She was inspired by so many good songs!

  26. 1) Eclipse is definitely my favorite.

    2) I have a few favorite songs:
Twilight: Let Me Sign – Rob Pattinson (not just because it’s Rob, but because I love the scene)
    Decode- Paramore
Flightless Bird, American Mouth – Iron & Wine ( Such a beautiful scene. SO happy its in the Breaking Dawn soundtrack)

New Moon: Possibility – Lykke Li (One of my favorite scenes in New Moon and fits the mood of it so well.)
Roselyn – Bon Iver & St. Vincent
All I Believe In – The Magic Numbers

Eclipse- Tons of songs on this one.

    3) Which is your least favorite? Go All The Way

    4) I think Flightless Bird, American Mouth is the song that represents Twilight the best. I just get reminded of the romance and of why I love the series. The next one would be Possibility. I mostly just think of New Moon, but it is the most fitting song for that movie. Those two are the best songs of all the soundtracks.

    5) Before Eclipse came out, I thought Muse was the band that needed to be on all of them. But now with Breaking Dawn, I’m okay with the fact that they aren’t there.

    6) Even though I fine with Muse not being on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack, I have become a fan of them because of Twilight. Also have become a fan of The Black Keys, Florence & the Machine, Bon Iver, and Band of Horses.

    7) As I said before Flightless Bird, American Mouth and Possibility are the songs of all the soundtracks.

    8) I wouldn’t add anything to the soundtracks. They’re all good and I enjoy listening to them. :)

  27. I love the Eclipse cd probably the best! Black Keys, Sia, and Florence and the machine. I now own all tree. The Black keKeys are my favorite band. It'[s hard to pick just on song but I would say Flightless Bird, American Mouth! So glad they are redoing it. Half the reason I was glad about the last book was being two movies was the idea of two soundtracks. I was checking facebook all day for the list. I love going on amazon and listening to new bands I have nevere heard of.

Which soundtrack is your favorite? Eclipse

Which song is your favorite? Flightless Bird American Mouth, and all three bands on Eclipse

Which is your least favorite? I Caught Myself – Paramore

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time? Black Keys, Sia, Florenece and the Machines

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack? Twilight..Flightless Bird Anerican Mouth, New Moon….Satellite Heart” by Anya Marina, Eclipse…Chop and Hange, Heaby in your Arms, My Love

PS. Was pissed about Bruno Mars but I am listening to It will ran….not to bad….not great but not bad.

  28. I love the Eclipse cd probably the best! Black Keys, Sia, and Florence and the machine. I now own all thee. The Black Keys are my favorite band. It’s hard to pick just on song but I would say Flightless Bird, American Mouth! So glad they are redoing it. Half the reason I was glad about the last book was being two movies was the idea of two soundtracks. I was checking facebook all day for the list.

  29. Twilight has changed my life in many ways. It made me more interested in the YA genre. It introduced paranormal romance, an entirely new genre to me. And it changed the way I look at music. Until I became interested in Twilight (both book and movie), my musical tastes were largely limited to what I listened to on my run of the mill adult contemporary, alternative, or classical stations. Then comes Stephenie Meyer’s playlists and the movie soundtracks featuring dozens of new-to-me artists. In the past three years, music has become a huge part of my life. I especially love the focus of indie artists on the Twilight soundtracks. Indie rock, especially indie folk rock, has become the focus of my musical tastes as well. It’s wonderful that the Twilight soundtracks are no longer filled with artists I don’t know. Instead, they’re filled with artists I love. I am beyond excited that The Joy Formidable and Theophilus London are on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack. And I can’t wait to fall in love with all the artists I don’t yet know.

Favorite soundtrack: New Moon, because it’s the most somber and low-key. Eclipse and Twilight are tied for second, although Twilight has the nostalgia factor

    Favorite song:
Twilight: Supermassive Black Hole (especially how it’s used in the movie) and Flightless Bird. I’ve even grown to like the -unusual- Perry Farrell song.
New Moon: So many favorites. Possibility (love its movie placement), Roslyn (Huge Bon Iver fan), Done All Wrong, No Sound but the Wind
Eclipse: Eclipse (All Yours) (big Metric fan); Chop and Change, With You in my Head (love how it’s used in the movie)

Favorite song not on the soundtrack:

I wish Rob Pattinson’s Let Me Sign had been on the main Twilight soundtrack. I also loved the use of 15 Steps by Radiohead at the very end of Twilight. It introduced me to Radiohead.

    Least Favorite:

Twilight: I hate to say it – Never Think – love Rob though. Let Me Sign is so much better. Go All the Way is very weird, but it’s grown on me.
New Moon: Satellite Heart. Although even this song, I don’t really dislike
Eclipse: Neutron Star Collision (Muse’s new material just isn’t as good as their older songs)

Artists I’ve learned about from Twilight: First my favorites: Iron & Wine, Paramore, Linkin Park, Muse, The Editors, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Band of Horses, Lykke Li. Also, every artists on the Twilight soundtrack

Artists I learned about after Twilight and already loved by the time they ended up on the New Moon or Eclipse soundtracks: Death Cab for Cutie; Bon Iver; Bat for Lashes; Florence and the Machine; Fanfarlo; Vampire Weekend

  30. My favourite soundtrack is New Moon, it’s one of those soundtracks with so many different bands that are all so unique yet when put together on the soundtrack

  31. Nicole Caulfield says:

My favourite soundtrack has got to be New Moon. It’s got so many different yet unique bands and songs but when put together on this soundtrack give off this vibe that’s so deep I have to listen again and again. My Least favourite is probably the Twilight soundtrack, it’s my favourite film but least favourite soundtrack.

My Favourite song has got to be Flightless Bird American Mouth by Iron and Wine. It’s so sweet and emotional with the music, it always takes me back to Twilight when they’re dancing and it’s so sweet!! My least favourite has got to be Go Into Twilight by Perry Farrel. I honestly detest that song, it works in the movie but I can’t listen to it without the movie. I hate it.

The twilight anthem, a lot of people would probably say decode, and I agree with them, I don’t listen to it often because it’s over played but I do think that that is the Twilight Anthem.

I don’t think a certain band should be on every single soundtrack, everyone is unique just like the movies, but if I had to say probably Muse, they’ve been on three already, why not four?! They were a real inspiration to Stephenie when she was writing the books so I think they’ve deserved the right to be on them.

Yes, the soundtracks have introduced me to bands I haven’t heard before, like now, I am a massive fan of Bon Iver and have listened to all of their music, its so deep yet strange. I love Lykke Li, Death Cab For Cutie, Band Of Horses, Sia, The Killers, although I liked some of their music before, The Bravery and Anya Marina.

Twilight Soundtrack, Robert Pattinson – Never Think
New Moon Soundtrack, Bon Iver and St Vincent – Rosyln
Eclipse Soundtrack, Sia – My Love.

  32. Which soundtrack is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
Overall New Moon is my favorite, with Eclipse coming close. Twilight is by far my least favorite.

Which song is your favorite? Which is your least favorite?
I can’t pick just one favorite. Life on Earth, Hearing Damage, Roslyn, Slow Life, Eclipse, Flightless Bird. Least favorite was that Linkin Park song. I know stephenie likes them but for me, the only place they belong is on some Michael Bay movie.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
I think they did a really good job with Eclipse (all yours). It’s probably too upbeat and poppy to represent the darker moods in the films, but the books generally have a positive tone that really fits with the song. It’s accessible to most fans and the lyrics really do reflect Bella.

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?
Not anyone in particular. It’s more important to find music that represents the movie and what’s happening in it. Muse would be appropriate to have on each one since the books are so dedicated to them, but at the same time their music might not fit well.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?
I hadn’t heard Florence and the Machine (I knew the name, not the music) before. I like her music a lot now.

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?
Flight Bird, American Mouth for Twilight, Hearing Damage for New Moon, Life on Earth for Eclipse

What else would you like to add about the soundtracks.
I’m obviously an indie music lover, so I’ve been super happy with the direction they went in the last two soundtracks. Maybe they decided to do that because of how much everyone loved Flightless Bird so much in the first movie. I also think it’s great that they’re using it again for Breaking Dawn.

  33. Which soundtrack is your favorite?
The ‘Twilight Saga Eclipse soundtrack’ is my favourite out all the Twilight soundtracks, I love the variety of songs it has.

    Which is your least favourite?
My least favourite Twilight soundtrack is ‘The Twilight Saga New Moon’ Soundtrack because I find some of the songs uninteresting.

    Which song is your favorite?
I can’t choose out of all the soundtracks, but if you look below at the question ‘Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?’ I state my favourites from all 3 soundtracks so far.

    Which is your least favorite?
My least favourite song from the ‘Twilight soundtrack’ is ‘I Caught Myself’ by Paramore – I spent ages trying to choose my least favourite song, it was a hard decision.
My least favourites song from the ‘Twilight Saga New Moon Soundtrack’ is ‘Roslyn’ By Bon Iver and St. Vincent, I chose this because I find the song drags on too long, I would probably prefer a shorter version of the song, as the original is 4:49, and I think it goes on for too long near the end.
My least favourite song from the ‘Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack’ is ‘The Line’ by Battles, (on the ‘Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack (Deluxe Edition) only). When I first purchased this soundtrack, my least favourite song would have been ‘Chop and Change’ by The Black Keys, but I have grown to love the song, the more I listen to it.

Which song (if you had to pick one) would you consider to me the Twilight anthem? In other words, the song that best represents the franchise to most fans?
I think a song suitable for the Twilight anthem would be ‘Spotlight (Twilight Mix) by Mutemath because it was a song specially made for Twilight as I think different sections from the song piece together to create the whole story of The Twilight saga. The repetition of ‘Your one of us’ in the song chorus means two things to me: 1) Its about the Cullens saying Bella is one of them or 2) We, as fans are singing it to each other, saying your one of us Twilighters, we are like a family, we do argue (Often over Edward and Jacob) but we also stick together like glue.

Is there a band/artist you feel has to be present on every soundtrack, if so why?
I feel Muse should be on every soundtrack because Stephenie Meyer used them for inspiration when writing the Twilight saga, so they should be included in the whole Twilight Saga in return. Stephenie mentions them so often when talking about the books, it feels compulsory.

Have the Twilight soundtracks turned you into a fan of a particular group/artist that you weren’t that familiar with ahead of time?
The Twilight soundtracks have introduced me into different music genres ( I used to only listen to pop and R&B). It has helped me become a fan of different types of rock, including pop rock, alternative rock and indie rock. I also learnt that Robert Pattinson was a great singer, as well as actor, because of his two songs in Twilight (‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’ (Not on soundtrack)). The soundtracks also made me into a fan of Muse, before I wasn’t really sure what they were about, but I now listen to lots of their songs and love them! I also love the Twilight score, I never had listened to a score before twilight, I didn’t even know what one was, but I love listening to the scores, when I do, I imagine the whole movie playing through my head!

Which is the best song on each of the movie soundtrack?
My favourite song from the ‘Twilight soundtrack’ is a tie between ‘Bella’s Lullaby’ by Carter Burwell and ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ by Iron and Wine. Yes, I love the slow, love songs!
I have quite a few favourites from the ‘Twilight Saga New Moon Soundtrack’, these include ‘New Moon (The Meadow)’ by Alexandre Desplat, ‘Shooting The Moon’ by Ok Go, ‘The Violet Hour’ by Sea Wolf and ‘Slow Life’ by Grizzly Bear featuring Victoria Legrand.
My favourite song from the ‘Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack’ is ‘My Love’ by Sia, followed by ‘Eclipse (All Yours) by Metric and ‘Ours’ by The Bravery and ‘How can you swallow so much sleep’ by the Bombay Bicycle Club. (the last song was only on the ‘Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack (Deluxe Edition)’.)

What else would you like to add about the soundtracks.
I am disappointed about Muse not being on ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack’ and hope it will appear on ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack’. I would also love to hear more of Robert, when he sings he reminds me of Edward, his voice has lots of emotion and depth, Jackson Rathbone or his band ‘100 Monkey’, and maybe even Kristen, the twilight saga has a very talented cast, so why not use them for other means, beside acting?

    P.S I am Team Edward!
