Considering what Melanie/Wanderer has to do physically in The Host, Saoirse Ronan definitely has done physically demanding roles. Lots of people know her from Atonement and The Lovely Bones, but she’s also currently starring in Hanna.

Damn near if not perfect
I saw it and thought the action was good but the characters could have been developed more. As an action movie, it did not disappoint and Saoirse Ronan did an amazing job. I have not read The Hoset yet so I don’t know if she would be a good Melanie/Wanderer.
