I haven’t read the leaked draft of the book and I’m glad that I haven’t. When Stephenie’s ready to write again, she’ll do her best work. I’d rather her finish it when she’s ready to.
I just wish it’d never been leaked, it’d probably have been published by now if that hadn’t happened.

I did read the leaked version but on Stephanie’s own website and i so loved it. To see from Edwards side was brilliant and brought a new dimension to the saga. I didnt enjoy reading it on the computer though, nothing can beat getting lost in a book. Hope she revisits it soon xxx
I agree completely, it’s great getting to know the Cullen’s more when Bella is sleeping and to know what was going on in Edward’s head.
i read it too and you’re right. i loved the fact that you get to view what’s going on inside everyone’s head (except bella’s of course). you get such a good look at exactly who everyone really is and not have to guess at it.
I agree. I think Mrs. Meyers should just finish it. I read the portion leaked on her website also and I thought it was GREAT! I wish the chapter of the meadow had been the last one.
I liked it better than Twilight and I loved Twilight.
I know it is hard when someone takes advantage of you but don’t let them win. Please finish the book. I have read the whole series over and over. I enjoy them each time I read them. Don’t listen to the critics – just laugh at them all the way to the bank.
Can’t believe you haven’t read it yet!! That’s some self restraint you’ve got goin on there, fair play! I loved it and have read it more than once, quite a few times more than once… In fact it’s because of Midnight Sun that Twilight has become my favourite book in the series; you suddenly understand everything behind Edwards actions, you know exactly how he’s feeling (and how everyone around him is feeling, which is fascinating) and you notice that something which may have seemed an insignificant detail in Twilight, takes on a whole new significance in MS. It’s so cleverly done, they compliment each other so well, I can’t wait for her to get back into the right frame of mind again, where she feels passionate about it. Good things come to those who wait, and I am willing to wait for this, it’s going to be brilliant!
I agree and also have read it several times and it will be worth it when she’s ready to get back to it.

I read it on Stephenie’s website & loved it! I have read it a “few” times. You see a whole new side to everything! Edwards point of view is fasinating!! I would read the whole series from his point of view! I know she said it would only be Midnight Sun, but all of the books from Edwards view would be totally awesome!!
I dont think she’s ever going to write it. I’m very upset at that fact. If she feels the experience of writing it is tainted, then what will change that?

i too read MS on Stephs website a billion times and when the book is done (which im glad to finally here her say she will finish it someday)i will buy it and read it a billion times because to me with only 12 unfinshed unedited chapters it is the best in the saga TEAM EDWARD all the way!
Woohooo! I have read the version that’s up on her official site more then I should admit. Lol I love reading Edwards side, it makes me love the character even more. When she finishes it someday I fully intend to devour the finished book. I agree that it would be awesome to see all the books through Edwards p.o.v.
I have to say that Midnight Sun is my favorite book of the Twilight saga. After reading MS, I re-read Twilight and i feel like I understood the both of them more. IMO, I think Stephanie Meyer will release MIdnight Sun after the second half of BD hits theaters.
I would love to have a version of Breaking Dawn from Edward’s perspective. There are soooooo many moments in that book when I was wondering what he was thinking. It gives me chills right now just thinking about the possibility.
I am reading it now and enjoy Edwards perspective! You get to know so much more about the Cullens everyday activities.
I would love all the books done in Edward’s point of view.
I can honestly say I loved Twilight (MS) done from his perspective more so than Twilight….made me realise just how wonderful he really was. I loved it.
I’d happily buy everyone from his point of view.
I get a little sad with Stephanie, I can understand where she is coming from regarding the leak but to stop it to me only hurts us, as fans.
Do it as a thankyou to all of us who have supported her journey and loved every moment of it. Forget the haters and just think of us lol
Please I need MS, it was such a tease which left me wanting more….so bummed it didn’t get to their first kiss…loved the meadow scene and just how hard it was for him in his words…love it!!
Sorry may have misread this but I didn’t think MS got to the Meadow scene? Didn’t it stop at chapter 12 – Complications?
i wish she would rethink it and write i understand things are crazy right now with the movies out but, if she would cont. with Edwards side of the story i feel that the movies would be Even better to come with his views also like eclipse sorta has done with the other characters
I am so over SM. She’s tired of vampires??? The same ones that made her a millionaire??? She doesn’t give a flip about her fans or she would have finished Midnight Sun long ago. For her to talk in this manner is about as selfish as you can get. She should be grateful we all want to read her books in the first place. It’s the fans that have made her what she is. She needs to take heed as to how JK Rawlings handles herself and her amazing success and SM needs to get off her literary high horse!!!!!
Stephenie Meyer doesn’t owe you or any of us Midnight Sun, it’s her property, her words, and it’s entirely her choice when she’ll choose to share it (or not) with us. ESPECIALLY after the first 12 chapters being leaked- we’re lucky she’s even posted them on her website!!
I completely agree- anyone who’s rushing Stephenie on MS has no clue what it’s like to be a writer. I read the leaked MS because it was a rare opportunity to see a major manuscript in progress, and I tell you, she had nothing to be embarassed about! I loved it. But to have your incomplete work exposed to the public? I can’t imagine how violated and humiliated she felt. Also having part of it out there changes how she finishes it, and what if anything gets cut, cause we’ll know. It’s a terrible invasion. I only hope she’s encouraged by all our positive feedback, but you can’t help panicking that every little detail may be wrong somehow. She feels she owes her fans her best. Don’t rush her!

Mid Night Sun is brillantly written and I read it more than twice along with Twilight. It’s so amazing to see Bella through Edward’s eyes and to realize how alike their feelings for one another are; that they are Soul mates, That they are born for each other. Plus while I was reading it I felt like Bella had been keeping some stuff from us; like Bella was blocking SM from getting all the details out of her head… anyway SM should definitly finish it and pubilish it. Otherwise I don’t think it’s fair to Edward. His POV should be out there too.
Okay another thing, was it just me or did you guys were like the same way as I was; going “omg! I thought the same thing” When Edward was thinking about how this naughty angel created Bella so recklessly and threw her in his path as a gift for him?? “okay i wasn’t thinking about a naughty angel but more like how god saw the good in Edward and created his soul mate and threw her in his path so he could be happy”…
Were you guys thinking the same thing?? I felt that way when I was reading the Saga. and to see what I felt written in Mid night Sun was a strange feeling for me u knw.
I actually prefer MS to Twilight. Edwards struggle and the reason behind them makes MS so much more interesting than Twilight.
Without a doubt, MS is my favourite book of the Twiight saga.I used to always be bewildered and surprised by some of Edward’s actions.I always wanted to be the one to read HIS mind;he was d most complex character in d series. MS made me fall in love with Edward even more ( i would have thought tht impossible!)and i realized what a beautiful person he is. I will b waiting patiently for MS.whenever it comes out, i’ll be d first in line.
SM is or course my favorite being team Edward but really his struggles and complex mind are fascinating also seeing what everyone around him is thinking also adds alot to it. It also adds that even though its mostley about his struggles being he is a vampire its also nice to see that there is a ‘man’ in there as he thinks and dreams about being able to pursue a physical relationship with Bella. Its funny in a way seeing him discover knew feelings like love and jealousy its amazing and of course funny (a jealous man always is) I love to sit there and read it and have Twilight sitting next to me to compare diffrent things to see it from two diffrent p.o.vs. I love the way he thinks of Bella especially how when she first speaks his name. “My life was an unchanging midnight it always would be midnight for me so how was it here the sun rising in the middle of my midnight?” Beutiful! I hope one day soon or one day period that I can have Midnight sun next to the rest of my books. No pressure Stephenie! Your fans can wait we owe you that being you gave us so many stories already! Ms is magical, going to read the draft again -M.
Anyone ever tried reading Twilight and MS at the same time? It’s cool. Go back and forth and get the WHOLE picture.
I read both of them at the same time. it was an amazing experience as you get to know how alike their feelings for one another.
Reading the Twilight series is simply magical. It allows readers to enter a completely fascinating world that captivates your heart. Reading Midnight Sun is an entirely grander experience! Everything becomes so much more inticing and intriguing and magnificent beyond words as we take a voyage through Edward’s brilliant mind. I really do hope with every inch of my being that Stephenie Meyer finishes and publishes Midnight Sun in the near future. Because of the 12 chapter draft of Midnight Sun, I have greater appreciation for her spectacular series and have fallen even more in love with the character, Edward Cullen!
I agree she doesn’t “owe” us Midnight Sun and that it is incredibly hard to write effectively when it feels like homework. So I can understand her wanting to wait until it feels good again… BUT!
On the other hand she has been horribly childish and imo rude about the whole thing towards us, the fans. Once the chapters got leaked she cut all ties and communications with us minus the generic, pre-scripted, crap interviews and the SUPER RARE fansite interviews where even they were watered down and uneventful. It was not US who leaked the chapters it was one of HER chosen special few… I lost a LOT of respect for her when she threw that emo bitch fit on her site (and I’m sorry I’m studying to be a lawyer and THAT was not “lawyer speak” it was HER words in that bitch fit)
I have a strong feeling she’ll finish the book, infact I have no doubt in my mind that she will…. once the movies are over and she isn’t getting anymore attention or money. She’ll pop that out and say “Oh tadah look what I finished!”
There is nothing we can do until that day… she said so herself, harrassing her won’t do any good it’ll just push her further away. I’m so over her attitude towards us the fans that I honestly barely care anymore. When she publishes it I’ll read it for sure, but until that day who cares
I fell off my chair when I saw those two words which shall not be spoken! I hope Step one day feels comfortable enough to return to her original thoughts, picks it up, and goes with it. We promise we’ll love it not matter what because all of this is because of HER first. The movies and hoopla are all second. Stephenie’s incredible talent is always #1 and I can’t wait for whatever else she’s willing to give us of her fascinating mind.
while i did read the draft posted on her web site i wish she would finish the book. i have read the all the books like five times now and love them. i sgree it was wrong to leak the draft, BUT SHE SHOULD’T PUNISH HER FANS FOR THE MISTAKES OF ONE OF HER FRIENDS. she gave them to draft to read and they posted it. really it might be better to just finish the rest of the draft the way it is minus any errors. the only problem i had with the draft is a few typeos. something that easily fixed is no reason to hold off on something so wonderful.
I have always hated vampire stories. When my friend told me to read Twilight, I was hesitant. When I started reading it, I instantly fell in love with this amazing story. I read all the books within a couple of weeks and when I was done, I felt bereft. I loved Edward and Bella so much and their beautiful love story.
I read Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer’s website and I could not believe how incredibly beautiful it is. I hope that someday soon she will finish it and I will be the first in line to buy it. Please let us read the rest of the story from Edward’s perspective because it needs to be told.
I have just finished reading the partial draft of Midnight Sun and have to say I think it is fantastic and beautifully written. Call me sad, but in some parts, I almost got emotional.
Seeing the story from Edward’s perspective gives the whole saga a new meaning for me and I think it is so important that his story is told.
Please, please Stephenie consider finishing and publishing Midnight Sun one day – it is such a beautiful story.
okay so i know abour billion people have said this already but i absolutley love MS… like with every fiber of my being. i tried for a very long time not to read the leaked draft but i finally caved, and i cant say i regret it!!!! i mean i agree it was so wrong that it got out their but now that is out, it would be wrong for it to remain unfinished. and i dont think stephanie owes it to me or anyone other of her devout fans, but more she owes it to edward for this beautiful story to be finished. MS makes me appreciate twilight, and at that, the whole series, in many more ways then i thought possible. they compliment eachother so well. i think ill try reading them both at the same time as well!!! and to stephanie meyer, i just want to thank you to all you have given me through your stories, you have truely made me love reading(this coming from the person who despised reading) your so inspiring. so to wrap this long ranting paragraph up, thank you stephanie meyer for letting me into the amazing world thst is your mind. and please consider how important and essential MS is, to not only us fans, but to the saga itself!!!!!
P.S. ill probably go mad with curiousty if i cant finish reading MS- haha remind you of someone?
