I agree with you. I love Twilight but there are so many fans that they overwhelm everything else. It’s really not even close to being an actual vote for who or whatever was the best. I think that next year Eclipse should not be nominated for anything so somebody else has a chance to win something.
Avatar reminded me of Ferngully – just more expensive to make. Plus, it portrayed the US Marines in an extremely negative way. It would not be the Marines making a decision to invade and destroy – they follow the orders of the President. So I’ll vote for the movie that entertained me the most…New Moon.

To me it kind of looked like he grabbed her and kissed her on the cheek, but you can’t really tell because of the bad angle. Does anyone else think that Kristen looked upset after Rob thanked her in his speech for best male performance? Does she think he drew even more unwanted attention to them? I don’t know but I think they are adorable together!
I think she was upset at the close up from the camera lense to capture her expression. Later on, they showed Rob and Kristen, heads together, talking and smiling. So I think if she were upset at Rob, you wouldn’t have seen them so cozy and happy after. She does not like the public attention from the camera lense.

What do you mean, “did they kiss?” Did you guys watch the same show I did? It might have been a variation on what they did last year, but it was different. They can’t just kiss, there has to be some “shtick” to it. And yes I think Rob planted one on her when his back was to the camera. Good for him!

Did they seriously change the scene when Bella leaves with Jacob when she is supposed to be being babysat by Alice?
I seriously hope they left out a part because it totally ruins it if she leaves with Edward there, watching. It will be a disaster if they change even more of the plot points. That doesn’t even fit in with their characters. The real Bella wouldn’t try to do something like that in front of Edward.
Ughhhh seriously….Ugh. And now they’ve made it a fight between Edward and Bella. Ugh.
i wish someone would teach them to speak. that introduction to the sneak peak was painful. They didn’t even look like they really wanted to be up there doing it. I’m glad they’ve won the awards they have won so far though! Kristen looked mad after he did plant a kiss on her when his back was to them.

The clip was amazing and I thought they all looked fantastic!!! Kristen look amazing and she dressed as Kristen which is perfect. Taylor and Robert looked sexy as always!!! Of course New Moon won everything it was nominated in as it should be. Let’s hope we win Best Movie!!!!

After the week Kristen has had, I’m glad that she won everything she was nominated for and that New Moon won everything it was nominated for. I’m also glad that Sandra Bullock is getting a special award from MTV.
After what both of those women have gone though, I hope that those wins show that people care.
Personally, I was a bit disappointed…for several reasons. Firstly, I’m sorry but I won’t be watching any more MTV movie/music awards live any more. It’s just too painful. Come on people when watching an awards program that is more like watching 8 Mile with language blocker, it’s getting kind of stupid. They were literally having to bleep every other word they were saying. The humor was as raunchy as ever, and to me, it just takes away from the whole experience. I give MTV an F. I’m GLAD I don’t have children… I felt SO sorry for Tom Felton. He finally gets some exposure for his talent, and bam it is ruined… ugh ugh… If one of my projects ever gets nominated for an award on their show, I’m tell you right now, I won’t be attending.
While I’m not shocked that New Moon dominated due to the demographic MTV was aiming at, I’m still ticked. Firstly, all I hear from Twi-hards is how horrible an actress Kristen Stewart is… Literally folks, on this page, on the Lex, talking to people live in interview, and yet SHE wins best actress, beating Sandra Bullock? This only proves my point that many Twi-hards will vote Twilight, just to vote Twilight. I LOVE Kristen Stewart. I always have, ever sense Into the Wild, but she doesn’t have the resume that Sandra does. Shoot, if there was an option between a Twilight character (any) and Sandra Bullock for the “This Generation Award”, I’m sure Twilight would have one that too. You could tell that some of the presenters were getting ticked about New Moon wins. WHY? It was beating much better movies, for no good reason, other than it being connected to Twilight.
Folks, I’m all for fairness. I voted for New Moon in three catagories, that I thought was really appropriate. I thuroughly enjoyed New Moon, as it was embarrasingly better than Twilight. I saw it a few times at the theatre. (more than I saw Avatar…but then again, you could probably watch New Moon 3 times, in the time it takes to finish Avatar once.
) However, the obsessive complusive fandom surrounding the saga is almost ruining it for me.
Again, if you voted because you honestly believed New Moon was the best… good for you, but for those who voted just to make New Moon win… shame on you…
Now I will go back to reading my copy of “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner… grumble grumble…
As I said, Sandra also won a speical award from the MTV movie awards. After what Kristen has gone though with the fan criticism and the events of the past week, and what Sandra has gone though with her marrage, both deserved to be given something to show them that people care about them.
Cher… I understand your point, but we don’t base awards off of what people are going through. Sandra won her award not because of her “issues” but because of her career and performance, of which she has a fantastic track record. Kristen’s work in The Runnaways was much better than her work in New Moon. She is a great actress. We show her love by supporting her work. Leave the sentiments out of award shows.
MTV Movie Awards are a popularity vote from fans. So, yes, sentiment does make some impact, whether or not we like it or not.
Absolutely right. I feel the same way. I love Twilight. I’m a Taylor Lautner fan but why bother to watch it’s so biased. I’d be surprised if other actors and other movies didn’t just boycott next year when Eclipse gets nominated. I don’t think that any future Twilight performances should even be considered because no one else will even have a chance of winning. And the language was ridiculously foul and over the top. F— isn’t even a noun anymore it’s an adjective. Nasty. At least no one’s ass was shoved in someones face this year.

I don’t think it is funny at all. I think it is unfortunate. I’m an adult, and when I get ticked, I certainly can say a few unsavory things, but my goodness I TRY not to let foul language be a staple of my speech. Heres to those who strive for better dialogue!
