It made me go out and buy the books...I'm old, I've seen many movies, and yes the "superman shot through the trees" was a little cheesy. Remember this was on a budget and honestly I think Catherine did a wonderful job with the romantic parts of the story. Every time Bella says "I trust you" and Edward takes her face and replys "don't" I get chills. I guess I'm just corny.The green filter makes the film look so different...it drives my husband crazy, he keeps trying to adjust the t.v. It's worth it just for that :) You really thought Twilight was a “hot mess”. The book is so long and so... informative, that this needs to handle in a delicate manner. They wanna cut it in half? It has to be in their genre of directing and something they feel passionate about. Can you honestly say any of the 3 directors spoken about have worked with vampire/horror type scripts, or anything remotely close. Catherine hadn't, and Twilight was a disaster... from the special effects, to dialogue/actors direction, to movie flow... HOT mess!! I would thoroughly enjoy watching Breaking Dawn directed by Peter Jackson (possibly David Slade, want to see Eclipse first) and know he would definitely do it justice.
