Everyone is entitled to a mistake, but this one left us laughing. We are wondering if the staff at the arts section of the New York Times somehow missed all the New Moon trailers where Taylor Lautner morphs into a giant CGI wolf on screen, or missed the whole Team Edward (vampire) vs. Team Jacob (werewolf) thing.
The article itself is just a summary of previously released information that Nikki Finke and Variety broke last week, but check out the title. Maybe they were remembering the above photo from an old Twilight PR shoot?

They changed it…it now says “New Role for Taylor Lautner”!
They even have this under the article: “A previous headline misidentified the creature Mr. Lautner plays in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” He is a werewolf, not a vampire.”
