Reality TV Forks Style

A production company is hoping to pitch the idea of a Forks, Washington reality-based TV show to a network to pick up as an ongoing series.  Forks has been busting with TV crews this year. Earlier this year a documentary was shot.  Two weeks ago, Showtime visited to shoot background footage for the debut of Twilight on their network. Now reality TV, who knows what’s next. “Los Angeles-based television producer Zig Gauthier held a casting call at the Twilight Lounge (former Vagabond restaurant/bar) in Forks on Tuesday, Dec. 22, and was scheduled for a second round on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Gauthier is proposing to film a reality show in Forks that would star local residents. The concept for the show would be presented to television networks who would decide whether to commit to backing the project.

On Tuesday the casting call started at noon and was to end by 4 p.m. On Wednesday, prospective participants were to be interviewed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.”

  1. please no….just no. Forks is just kinda special and I hate for Hollywood to spoil it. Really, just no.

No. Don’t do it. That’s going too far, sheesh.

  3. NO!!! it will mess up the whole twilight saga thing…its like a holly place(jk) and hollywood crap will make ppl look down apon it…leave forks alone!!!

  4. yeah dont do it, its like forks had their little town and now tourists attack it and this would just be plane cruel. It used to be that no one anoyyed them.

  5. Ugh, what has our culture come to? Leave Forks alone!

  6. ew. why??? i hope they dont do it. nobody here would watch it. they aren’t a part of the twilight series in any way-just their city. thats way too far and ridiculas. they are hoping twilight fans will watch it but whats the point? its not a series about edward cullen-its about random small town people that nobody knows. twilight fans will react the opposite way than they were thinking, i’m sure

I’m so sorry you feel that the people of Forks are not part of the Twilight series, that’s a hurtfull comment. The people of Forks put up a show 7 days a week for the Twilight fans visiting Forks and we are part of Twilight. Over 150 people from Forks showed up for the reality show auditions which means we’re hungry to show the world the real Forks and it’s people.

  7. Rianilee Belles says:

Well, actually you guys, we in Forks feel it’s our time to shine where the real people of Forks are featured. Twilight became so Hollywood and Forks is on the back burner so welcome this so people can meet the real Forks and its people.

    • No, and still no! The documentary will be enough to show us Forks life. I don’t believe Twi-fans will watch. Hollywood will make a joke out of the town just like it does all the other reality shows. after a reality show starts, it may have the exact opposite effect the town wants, fans may stop coming to Forks. Because the hard truth is, we don’t really care to see what the life of a Forks teenager is, its the books we love.

      • Rianilee Belles says:

Actually, I spoke to the producer myself and his aim is not to make fun at all but do it survivor style or deadliest catch. He wants to show the world that Forks is not just about fiction but a living and breathing town. I’m amazed to see how people get to decide what is good for Forks and what not! At the end, it’s all up to us and what we want for our town and if you decide that this reality show will keep you away from Forks, then our town with its Twilight sites are all you cared about and not the people of Forks. Why can’t anyone be happy for us?
