We checked out the rumor, started via a Canadian news source last week, that Twilight would be made into a TV series. We even got a response (though we asked on Thanksgiving) and were told the rumor is unfounded. It was only one source so we figured it would die out in all the other news. Today other sources have now picked up on it, and it is spreading like wildfire.
So, the rumor that Twilight will be made into a TV series and that Robert Pattinson has been offered the lead, is untrue.
that would be a stupid show after a while it would get old, there is something magical about the films that leaves you wanting more
perhaps a fifth movie would be better than a tv series. I think most of the cast are past the tv series level now so bring on another movie !!
Maybe a Tv series would be good…. in about 15 years time. The format would allow for much more detail, so we could have the books verbatim; or touch by touch, as I like to think of it
.Also, a whole new generation could discover the joys of Twilight. But, with our cast,now? – just NO!
I have talked with friends about this very thing and I agree with you that this would be the best approach IF it ever happens. I really wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen.We could see this Saga play out in many forms through the years.
The rumor is so stupid and makes no sense, why would rob do the movie and a show, he’s not stupid.

I CAN see a series possibly in the Stephenie Meyer universe, that would focus on the town of Forks. A series that would run in the vein of Eerie Indiana, Wolf Lake (better written of course), Rosewell, or that one cool show on SyFy… that I can’t remember now…
In short, it wouldn’t focus on the lives of Bella, Edward, or the main characters from the books, but possibly the peaceful town of Forks that has become a haven for supernatural critters. It is like Sunnydale – the vampire slayers. :p
That could be interesting, as the writers and producers could create a product that could enhance Steph’s creation, without altering her existing world. That is the only way I can see it, as Steph pretty much gives EVERYBODY a happy ending…
The only character I see that might still need a more conclusive one is Leah… I still feel for her, and I’m sure there is a man out there that will be the imprintee. Come on Steph, I’m still waiting on a book that will bring Leah’s life to a happy ending… It would be interesting of course, if she would end up imprinting on something benignly dangerous, such as a “Child of the Full Moon”. Shapeshifter meets true werewolf. I always wondered why the Volturi hated them so much. OH well… there is the writer in me coming out. :p
Thank God. There is no better way to ruin a great movie franchise (even if Twilight sucked) than to make it a TV series…
Smallville, Stargate SG1 (arguably better than the movie), Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. (Much better than the movie) are just a few series that were spawned from movies or in Smallville’s case a comic book series that became a movie series that spawned a TV series. There are a few tv series that did a fantastic job at enhancing a movie.
A tv series would be great it can show in detail the love and everything not like a rushed movie, even though i love the movies but still

yeah, my local radio station reported that… and at the time, i was very upset, the show would most likely be cheesy, because we love the anticipation of the films and all that… so, all in all, thrilled to hear it’s just a rumor.
Stargate is probably the best science fiction series after Firefly. Nice visual effects too..,*
