I love JR Ward books!!!! I think they are completely different from whats out there. But I also wanted to say this. I have read 4 vampire series now. I started with Twilight, then Sookie Stackhouse Novels, Argeneaus Family/Rogue Vampire Series, and Black Dagger Brotherhood being the last. Its hard to pick a favorite because I loved them all as I read them. If I did not I would have stopped. I am a very proud supporter of paranormal romance and fully plan on reading more vampire series as long as they keep my attention!

Hmmm....

Twilight was my first real vampire book. I loved it from the start, and got hooked up with the vampire thing (thank you Stephenie ^^)
The sad thing is, nowadays just every author has to write a vampire book!
And many are hard on the line of plagiarism ( like House of Night and Vampire Academy ~~')
I really love Kresley Cole at the moment, because she also writes about ghosts, and Valkyrie and Werewolfs and Fairies and so on....
The fantasy world is vast, and just because vampire books sell good these days,it doesn't mean everyone has to write one.

Ps.: Christine Feehan and Stephenie Meyer can of course write as much vampire books as they want ^^

I love The Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward. The characters are all so intense and almost animalistic. But their emotions and relationships are so romantically and passionatly human. (VERY PASSIONAT!!) The hot vampire sex is a bit much for me and I'm almost embarrassed to be reading it. (And me a grown woman!) But I love the characters and how deeply she develops them. They feel things, good and bad, so much more intensely than humans so you can't help but be drawn in. She wrote an insiders guide to the series and in it she interviews the Brothers. Very cool that they really live in her head.
