YES! Oh yes yes yes, I thought of him too! He'd be incredible, think of Pan's Labyrinth, the visuals and the emotional tone. Yes, he would fit and it would be perfect for the story.

Haha let's see... Helena would play Irina and Johnny could be... Garett, maybe? Vladimir or Stefan? Nahuel? Man, he could pull off any role on the planet, he could play Renesmee and it'd still be amazing! :p

Love this idea! Although everything Burton touches turns to gold, and I would LOVE to see him direct Breaking Dawn, realistically his style is too grand and surreal to fit the tone of the saga, and it certainly would look nothing like the rest of the films. Baz Luhrman would be a better fit, still epic and beautiful but a little more human, I think.

HAAAAAHAHAHAHA! It's so hilarious that you mentioned those two, in that order, because if I've said before to my friends that I would be ECSTATIC if EITHER of those directors did Breaking Dawn! Like, I would be the HAPPIEST person on earth!!! Lol I laugh because I know it's so twisted and so not where this series is going but I am also twisted and I cannot explain the joy in my soul when I let myself imagine the pieces of art those two would create with that story. But it would never ever happen, I'm aware. Oh, but a girl can dream. <3

I also wish Chris Weitz would return for Breaking Dawn. It seems so funny now that we want him to return because when Catherine was replaced, we were all so angry and didn't trust Chris one bit. Chris even had to convince us by a confirmation from Stephenie that he wouldn't ruin New Moon and would try to do his best. I feel so bad about that now.

I don't know about that. As an Aussie I adore Baz's work, but like Tim Burton he also has a certain way of doing his movies. Baz is about quick cuts and over theatrical acting.

I own all of his movies, but I don't know that he could rein himself in enough to do Breaking Dawn. However, I would have loved to have seen what his wife Catherine could have done with the costumes (the can can dresses from Moulin Rouge were incredible).

At least we get (some) of the meadow scene redone in New Moon. It looks so much prettier.

Mr. Burton AlWAYS delivers but his movies have a darker, sharper edged theme about them--no offense intended towards Tim Burton--than I envision for Breaking Dawn.

So many references to "Sweeney Todd" (it certainly had the cold, pale, distraught look down) I can see it now...Breaking Dawn--the Musical.

*tongue pressed firmly into my cheek*
*chuckling my a*% off*snicker*snort*
