I forgot to wish: Happy Halloween everyone! I just came back from Trick or Treating with my little brother. I was “New Moon”ing as Jane, but my brother was Hulk. Next year I’ll make sure he’s a vampire or a werewolf. He does think of Taylor as his ideal.

Grand doesn’t necessarily mean “action”. One definition of grand: impressive in size, appearance, or general effect.

This doesn’t have to only cover action. Grand could mean the scale of the romance, the overall effect of the movie (“that was a grand experience!”), etc. Knowing Chris Weitz, his films also have a human connection, so I don’t think that he was referencing only action.

You know what? My answer is NO… not necessarily. If something GRAND means that the texture of the film is affected and its all about the action and the stars are all glossy then..no. I’m going to look for that northwest feeling again… the indy rock feeling.. the believability of it despite the fantasy of it… I think Stephanie Meyer would agree with that- Grand can sometimes mean hokey- hollywood- stupid.
What are the major points of Eclipse?
1. Bella is hunted
2. Jacob is still fighting for her
3. The wolf pack grows- we learn more…
4. the Mountain fight
5. the newborn fight
6. Edward Proposes
7. Graduation
8. Graduation Party

Yes I want the fight scenes to be exciting and good special effects will be needed. But I still want this to be a love story and about the love triangle most of all and the best love stories need a little roughness and reality to them…

I agree wholeheartedly with Chris Weitz. New Moon introduces so much, from the wolves to the Volturi. We even have a bit of an adventure in Italy. Everything is on a much grander scale in this sequel.

New Moon is my favorite of the saga.
I’m just glad they are sticking to the book.
