We saw this one before seeing her in Into the Wild and we were blown away! She is perfect in this role and seemed so natural playing this difficult part.

I don’t think that The Cake Eaters is eligible for Oscar nominations considering it first premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival in ’07, and played at several film fests throughout ’07 and ’08.

You need to have an actual regular theater run of at least 7 days in LA County during the qualifying year (that would be this year) to be eligible, and if my memory serves correctly, I don’t recall seeing The Cake Eaters have a regular run in theaters out here. The DVD release doesn’t count toward eligibility. Sorry, but the lobbying might be a waste of effort. =\

This movie had a very real feeling to it. Kristen is a very talented actress.

Also another movie she did that is being overlooked is Adventureland.

Keep up the great job and like I stated in the past. I would love to see the things she will do in 20 years!!
