Revolver to Do Robert Pattinson Documentary

According to the UK’s Screen Daily, the UK-based production company Revolver is slated to do a documentary on Robert Pattinson. The documentary will cover Rob’s rise from virtual unknown to perhaps the most photographed icon in the world.

According to Screen Daily:

“Justin Marciano, chief executive of Revolver, said: “Teenagers just can’t get enough of Robert Pattinson and this broadcast quality biography is guaranteed to deliver whether on TV or home entertainment.”

Revolver is also planning to create a box-set with the documentary accompanying Haunted Airmen, the 2006 drama starring Pattison to which it also holds the rights.”

God rob is getting beyond overrated, he’s isn’t the most talented actor in the world and I’m sorry he is a lot less deserving of this than many of the incredibly talented, award winning actors out there.

      I couldn’t agree more!!

    • twilight + star trek fan says:

Yea really this is getting ridiculous nobody wants to watch a documentary about him. I am soooo sick of all this stuff about him… the media coverage is ridculous. I love the books but th movies just bore me now because of all the annoying coverage. I’m glad the media never says ANYTHING about the books cuz I wouldn’t want to have to be sick of them too!

  2. Karen says:

I agree to a point, but he is the ‘it’ actor of this generation and I know I would love to see it. It is a phenomenon the way he rose so fast. I do believe it would have been who-ever landed the role tho’. I love the bio-channel and enjoy watching bio’s on everyone. I would especially love to see one on Rob, love to know how he was raised and how he started. I would watch for sure and wouldn’t move a muscle. I would love to see one on each of them. They are always interesting.

  3. Emma says:

this is weird. i don’t think they should do it. i love rob, but i hit a saturation point on coverage of him months ago (that does not include coverage of movies he is in – i’ll take all the twilight related news i can get).

  4. Amanda Dubs says:

This is weird. People are going to get sick of him. Just like they did of Twilight.

  5. anh says:

I’m sure this biopic isn’t “Rob-sanctioned” since he seems to be so uncomfortable with all this instant fame. I too, think he was thrust upon this, really solely because of Twilight but I would still watch it. BTW… I’m not sick of Twilight! LOL My obsession is still strong after a year… yikes!

  6. Lila says:

This is summit milking rob for every penny, they basically know that without Twilight, they’d go bust. It’s a wise move really, I absolutely love and adore Twiight but I do not believe it has the lasting appeal of say lord of the rings or harry potter, but honestly they will loose money in the long run, it’s getting to a point now even for me, a total twilight nerd, that I’m just bored with it, I’m lucky I live in the UK so I don;t hear as much of Twilight as you guys in the USA do but I think if I lived over there I would of honestly began to not like twilight anymore, I’m sick of all these publicity stunts and I’m sure the actors themselves are too.

  7. katlee710 says:

I don’t know anyone that is sick of Twilight yet or Rob or any of the other characters. A documentary will be interesting, albeit a little bit short probably. He’s certainly not very old but he is becoming a legend and not just with teenagers but also my generation (the 50 somethings), as well as others! I look forward to seeing it regardless and am counting the days til New Moon!

  8. abby says:

    This is Rob overload.

  9. Donna says:

I’m not sick of Twilight yet! And I think that because Rob is so mysterious, he somewhat drives this mania about him. If he’d reveal more about himself, do more in-depth interviews, and allow photographs instead of rushing everywhere in sunglasses and a hoodie, I think some of this hysteria would die down.

There’s nothing like a mystery to keep people interested…

  10. Singing Moon says:

I don’t mind getting to know more about Rob. I loved him in the Twilight commentary; he has a good sense of humor. I also think that he probably isn’t too thrilled about the documentary. From what I’ve read on the Lexicon, neither he nor Kristen are very comfortable in the spotlight. So I imagine he feels like there’s been too much of him going around. At least he’s remaining humble rather than becoming egotistical. Same with Kristen & Taylor.

  11. Tina says:

obviously such a documentary will not increase the crazy fandom and obviously they will get permission to follow Pattinson’s every step (because Pattinson really seems to love that) and obviously it is not just going to be previously released footage mixed with third rate interviews of people like Jennifer Love-Hewitt talking about Pattinson and obviously they won’t portray lunatic 13 year olds who bite each other so maybe they become vampires themselves and obviously Revolver is not just trying to milk the cash cow! Obviously…

  12. matty says:

Honestly, im not tired of the twilight movies or Rob. The only Rob i get is the half-true (sometimes completely false) statements from magazines. that, i think, is what a lot of people might be tired of. It’d be nice to maybe have a little bit of true insight.

  13. :D says:

I love Rob and all… but this is way too much.

  14. M.P. says:

& I thought I’ve seen ’bout everything… **shaking head** U know, I love & respect RP & all that… I think he is very talented… but to consider him as the “it”, I think it’s too much… the same goes to this documentary…So sad… LOL!!!! Some ppl r too desperate to make money in this time of crisis, they really don’t care how or who’s going to be afected… Savage Capitalism!!!! **sighs** Poor RP, now I wonder how’s he feeling right now :(

  15. Amy French says:

Just thought i’d let you guys know that i wrote to Rob complimenting him on his portrayal of Edward, and he sent me a personally addressed signed photograph back. I was really please as living in the UK i miss out on so much of the promo things that go on!!

  16. Singing Moon says:

That’s really cool! It just shows how much he respects his fans. Yay Rob! A lot of people like Taylor, who does seem open & genuine, but I like Rob’s awkward, joking mannerisms. I liked how he described his character in the New Moon companion. I also like how Kristen & Rob are keeping out of the limelight with interviews & such. I think people would react just like this & say they’re overrated.
