David Slade is back on Twitter again. He confirmed that Billy Burke wrapped yesterday, and has treated us to a picture of THE MEADOW.

We think we can safely speak on behalf of all Twilight fans when we say
THANK YOU DAVID!

  • ape says:

That is how I actually saw the meadow. Thank you David!

  • WannabeMrsCullen says:

this looks so pretty, I love it. I actually saw the meadow like this in my head! :)

  • JIllian says:

First off I have a really good feeling about DSlade, really good.

Second, There is a BRAND NEW making of New Moon special attached to the Twilight film if you order in OnDemand from your television. I have comcast cable in Minnesota and on Friday I ordered the movie because in its summary of the film it said that there was a 5 minute making of special. It gives more background on the Volturi and the wolfpack. You even get to hear Aro and Marcus speak. Order it if you have it, it was only $2.99. I tipped off the lexicon to this on Saturday and they still haven’t posted it.

I am going to try and videotape it for all of the fans of New Moon who don’t have an OnDemand feature through their cable provider. If you do have onDemand I would suggest watching the special.!

oh my!!! this is exactly how i pictured the meadow…so pretty

  • jm says:

thanks, david, now if only you could let us know if edward has a new bed in his room for the leg hitch and bella’s seduction attempt.

  • sillygirl says:

THANK YOU David Slade!! Now, can we have you re-film the very first time Edward took Bella to the meadow? No offense CH, It’s just that was the only scene I didnt’ want screwed up, it was very lacking, to put it nicely. :)

  • anh says:

Wow… what a difference a proper blockbuster budget makes, eh? Poor CH… I wonder if she’d had double her budget what we would have had… I think CW and DS are doing a great job judging by the clips/trailers/tweets… right on! (I also daydream about having Twilight re-filmed with about 40 mil more.)

  • Tati says:

That is one of my favorites scenes in Twilight.

  • FilDeCuivre says:

That. Picture. Is. Pure. Amazingness. I love it how we’re all excited of New Moon coming soon and at the same time we have pictures of Eclipse already! Seems so weird how close they’ve been filmed! It looks like the movies are getting even better and better! Can’t wait to see Eclipse’s first trailer!

  • Kenzie says:

Wow. We actually have a meadow now instead of ugly mushy green stuff. Cool. :)

  • michelle says:

thats awesome. but even without it being a twilight scene its still a really beautiful pic. i think its gonna be my next background! my children have been booted off my desktop once again to a Twi-pic, oh well!

  • safina says:

    This is so beautiful.

  • Mel says:

That picture reassures me that David is not out to make a horror movie of Eclipse. I am sooo excited about New Moon after seeing the pictures from the Companion. (They are on You Tube if you’re interested. Pick the one from OasisTwilight to get the best quality.) I won’t give anything away to those that don’t want spoilers – but suffice to say the scenes that have been added have actually made it ten times better!! I wish so badly that someone would redo Twilight so that it would match the high standard of the rest of the movies.

  • belladonna101 says:

The picture that Slade posted looks like the perfect meadow. Hardwicke’s version of the meadow sucked. You could tell it was all fake.

  • Martina says:

Now that’s a Meadow. Honestly how hard is it to found a field with wild flowers…I mean I live in Wisconsin where we get so mean winters but you can found lots of meadows and fields of wild flowers up and down the state. Thank DS for going beyond and to one photogragher to another you have a outstanding eye for the subtle details. Bravo

  • april says:

The blue is amazing… the beauty all around. Its awesome to see the blue… Edwards colors of cool and icy and mysterious and also Edwards favorite color on Bella… wonder if she’ll be wearing blue in this scene. Hmm.

  • Carla says:

Now THAT’S what The Meadow should look like. The one in the first film was soooo disappointing.

  • RunsWithWolves says:

    Okaaay
So its a picture with blue Flowers – woohoo!
Its not a meadow yet and im not edging off my worrying that David Slade doesnt have “that twilight eye” as CW.
But im giving him a chance.
Im still bothered about the newborns coming out of the water “slowly”
They arent zombies! Theyre new hypersuperduper vampires who find it hard to control their speed.
Gnah, im too involved in this *hits herself on the forehead*

  • Adrielle says:

Lovely picture of the flowers at the meadow! Now, that’s what a meadow should be covered in..

  • Rosalie's Pain says:

It’s understandable if everyone is critisizing Catherine for her work. I for one, think she did an AMAZING job at creating the Twilight World. I’m glad she had a small budget, I think it’s what made the movie so amazing and realistic. Twilight is not a movie that I went to see for the special effects, I went to see it for the story. You all can mark my words, even though New Moon and Eclipse may have a bigger budget, they wont be as profitable as Twilight was. It’s like Charlies Angels 2, they had a bigger budget, but made less at the box office. They both will probably make more than Twilight, but after taking the expenses out, they wont have as much left on the profit side.

  • :D says:

    OMG! So pretty…

    THANK YOU DAVID SLADE!

  • Zookie Monster says:

David Slade, thank you so much. You’re fixing up what Catherine Hardwicke couldn’t create :D
