I just love Rachelle. Miss her so much.
so do i. she was great. bryce can don the wig to look like rachelle but shell never be rachelle. i feel like bryce is an imposter forced upon us. bryce didnt want to do the movie in the first place. she wasnt impressed and didnt think it was big enough for her. after seeing box office sales, now suddenly she was more than happy to get on for the ride? id prefer to have rachelle who actually liked the story and was gracious for the role in the first place.
bryce is definitely a far cry from kstew and rpattz who love their craft so much that they enjoy making indie films that don’t have $$$ signs all over them.
So classy! Absolutely admirable!
Will miss her, not just for her Victoria, but for her commitment to fans and her devotion to the project!
She is so classy…she’ll be missed in Eclipse. She is such a beautiful woman, too!

There was this “scheduling conflict” with Summit because Rachelle had another movie to shoot at the same time as the filming of Eclipse. But I don’t believe that. Catherine said that first they had asked Bryce Dallas Howard (is this the name?) to do Victoria’s part, but then she had refused because Twilight wasn’t so big at the time. But now she agreed, so what does this suppose to mean? It’s really all unnerving, and there was nothing we could do because Summit didn’t even give us time to digest that. They just gave the official news that Bryce is doing Victoria’s part in Eclipse.
Yeah and I totally think the “scheduling conflict” thing is a load of BS because if I’m not mistaken, a few other NM actors were also doing other movies on the side at the same time. I saw another piece of this interview w/Rachelle & she says that “at no time” was she under the impression that she was “making a choice”, i.e. between Barney’s Version & Eclipse. This whole thing just totally sucks. On the bright side, it’s so good to see Rachelle smiling & doing her best to move on. You’re in our thoughts Rachelle!!

I’m going to miss Rachelle, but I’m not going to diss the new gal until I see her performance. I hope she does well in the part and makes Victoria someone we can all hate! LOL
I will also always see Rachelle as Victoria, I think it was kinda sleazy to dismiss her like that…I do believe they could have accomodated her 10 days! I bet they would have for Rob or Kristen….
actually they have accommodated other actor’s schedules. they just didnt for her because they wanted bryce all along. i dont know whaqt theyre thinking. bryce doesnt have some huge following that is going to attract new fans to the franchise. everyone was like, “bryce who? ohh.. that actor from those terrible m. nightshaymalan movies.”
I do agree. They could have easily accommodated that short time that she was going to do Barneys Version, but they used that against her instead. There had been a few cast members who were allowed to film other movies during both Twilight and New Moon without a problem, yet when Rachelle needs to for Eclipse they dismiss her. I think it was really a set up all along to get Bryce in her place, even though we all love Rachelle. It definately won’t be the same without her and I am glad that Bryce will be killed off in Eclipse. Like people have previously said, Rachelle is a very classy person. I hope she has a lot of future success because she deserves it.
ITA. Rachelle is such a lovable person, I wish all the best for her and her career. It’s heartbreaking she had to go through this. The most annoying thing is that we couldn’t do anything to get her back, except write letters to Summit, and that didn’t do much good, I’m sure no-one read them. Summit wanted Bryce and that’s it. Bryce might do a good job with the part but it really won’t change anything, the fans will always think Rachelle is the best Victoria. I hate continuity errors in films and this is the worst kind there is. The whole feel of the franchise changes. I was really looking forward to the Rob/Rachelle fight in Eclipse, it’s a shame we won’t see it.
It’s kind of different for Rob and Kristen, as they are the main characters. I think as a person, Rachelle is being classy about everything, and I will miss her dedication to the franchise. But she’s an adult, and she knew what was in her contract. According to Summit’s press release, she waited until the last minute before making any kind of arrangements. My guess is that critical scenes were scheduled to be filmed during the 10 days she was scheduled to film elsewhere, and again, in the press release they mentioned that they have certain locations reserved for only that allotment of time. It sucks, but grown-ups have grown-up responsibilities, and in this case she failed to meet them.

What a shame she won’t be returning for Eclipse…I’ll miss her so much in the Twilight Saga.
I’ll continue to look out for her future work & support her though as she seems like such a beautiful, talented & genuine person, a rarity in the acting world!
I agree with you so much! She’s a great actress but its the fact thats she’s so kind and sweet to her fans that makes her so special.
She was there with Twilight since the start and deserves to be there intill the end.

Arhhh!! When Summit dumped Rachelle I got so mad, then I had time to calm down and accept this stupid change.
But on seeing this Im all mad again!! Rachelle is not only a GREAT Victoria she is also a wonderful person all together.

RPattz tweeted a couple of hours ago on Peter Facinelli’s account or whatever. I’m not all that up on Twitter, but thought you might like to know.
I’m glad Rachelle seems to have put the whole Eclipse drama behind her. I can only imagine how painful that must have been and to an extent-still is. Rachelle will definitely be missed in Eclipse but, I’m so looking forward to seeing what she contributed and brought to New Moon. I continue to wish Rachelle all the best and thank her for handling herself beautifully in a difficult situation.

I was beyond devastated when I read Rachelle was being replaced. Dallas Bryce Howard does not have a following. The movies she’s been in that have made money, have only done so because they were big name directors(M.Night Shamylan) or a big franchise already(spider man). The worst part is that those movies were critical failures and 2 out of 3 were considered box office dissapointments compared to what other Shamylan movies had made. I don’t know if I’m going to be as exited about Eclipse as I am about New Moon. Rachelle definetly brought something to the Twilight Saga, and not just the films. The way she acted towards her fans and just her gracious demeanor made her so likable. Rachelle, if you are reading this, this too shall pass. I Love You and Thank You for bringing to life Victoria. You are and will always be my Victoria! I look foward to seeing your new projects.
I’m still mad at summit for this and still refuse to see their movies. it really erks me when the bottom line is preferred over fans. I really hate hearing about big companies and their profit margins. They will no linger see my $$ and I go to the movies a lot & repetitively…

as for Dallas Bryce Howard: She does not desire our hate. she simply took a job that was offered, she didn’t steal it.
I’m so going to miss Rachelle! To answer a few questions, back when all this happened, supposedly Rachelle’s contract allowed her to do other smaller side probjects. Supposedly, she turned down bigger projects and took Barney’s vision believing it to be within her contract terms. Summit claimed that she took the project in April and didn’t let them know of the conflict dates until July. The “conflict” wasn’t shooting time, but rehearsal time. I kind of kept up to speed on this website and others during the actual rehearsals and frankly, it didn’t seem like much was going on that was imperative that she be there, so it sounded like a bunch of BS kind of excuse to me. The thing I wonder about is her lawyers were supposedly demanding her salary be paid claiming Summit is the one who terminated the contract and she was entitled to her pay per the contract. I’d sure love to know how that turned out!
p.s. I’ll still see the movie, but Bryce just doesn’t have the charisma or karma that Rachelle has. I can see Rachelle is going to be a big star. She’s got that twinkle.

Rachelle really was one of the nicest members of the cast, and seeing her portrayal of victoria made her one of my favourite characters. I am gonna miss her terribly in Eclipse, she didnt deserve to have this done to her.
But I must say she has a very admirable way of lookinf at all this. Even though she admits she was devastated, the genuinely smiles and looks on the bright side, and you can tell its not just for the cameras. fair play to her. Miss you Rachelle!
