Rachelle hadn't told Summit till quite late even though she'd known for quite awhile that the films would collide in some way and as an actor it was her duty to tell Summit as soon as she knew so they could have worked around it. Please don't think that I don't like Rachelle cause I do but these are the facts as I see them. Probably because Anna told Summit well in advance that she would be doing Up in the Air as well so they were able to work together to make the scheduling work for both of them.
