Hey

I was wondering if on any interviews from MTV.com you could write a bit about what they say. Those of us who live in the UK (me!!) and prob other countries are not allowed to watch mtv.com vidoes and Mtv.co.uk doesn’t have most of the ones you post!!

So every post with Mtv.com videos we cant watch

p.s Kat- yes most people from Europe speak with an English acent (rather than american) when they speak English!

Oh, and I’m glad they don’t have American accents, because that would seem odd coming from European vampires, who are more likely to have learned English from, well, the English. I’ve heard speaking English with an English accent is a pretty common choice for foreign language learners outside America. If that’s true, it’s definitely plausible for an Italian vampire to choose to speak it with one.

In any case, it should be interesting to hear in November! I’m excited to see the parts in Volterra. The details in the article about what I’m guessing is the tourist scene sound very promising, in a creepy sort of way.

Actually, I think British accents are a great idea! I was wondering if they might try it, since Michael Sheen and Jamie Campbell Bower are British.

I think it will make the Volturi sound very sophisticated (and ancient, from the way Jamie describes it). They’re so old that it’s not really necessary for them to have Italian accents, since they existed before Italian accents ever did! Kind of like how Carlisle can blend in as “American” even though he should be talking like a British guy from the 1600’s, lol.

Interesting.

That’s how I imagine their accents: English, but with slight Italian accents (such as them pronouncing certain letters a bit roughly, etc).
