I’m so sick of hearing about “Robsten’s engagement!!” I heard it on that stupid ryan seacrest show the other day, on news sites, and even from my sister who saw the magazine article in walmart.

Anytime I try to defend them she always says “You don’t know them. They could be trying to hide it!”

totally random tidbit of trivia: “Vulturi” means “eagles” in Romanian. Perhaps a little nod to the Roman Empire?

You are correct about the last name part, if there were more than one person with the same name in any country they would be given the surname of the city or town they came from, as you said. Just if they had the same name and came from the same city or town then I guess they used some kind of variation to distinguish both, but since the Volturi have been in Volterra for so long one can assume that as their last names even if they officially do not have one.

Real fans of the Twilight Saga would never have mistaken “Volturi” to be the last name of the italian vampires or “Denali” to be the last name of Tanya, Kate and Irina.

And it’s also shocking to me that some people may actually believe the manipulation of Rob and Kristen’s picture. It’s so obviously fake. I can’t believe that OK magazine could stoop so low just to get attention. It’s just sick.

gosh… i can’t believe people actually fell for that picture! how can you do the EXACT same pose twice– the same facial expression, the same position, the same everything. jeez… people, really?! who cares (even though that would be kinda cool: kirsten and rob aka bella and edward lol) but it’s their business, not ours. that’s why i hate tabloids

And Raizie is right! the only ones with last names are the humans, the Cullens and the wolves.

Thank you for a great and informative website. I just wanted to comment that while you’re absolutely correct about the last names in the Saga, when it started to become more common for people to start using last names, or being referred to with last names, the name of the town from where the person came often did end up becoming their surname. Even as recently as the first half of the last century when large amounts of immigrants came to the U.S. the name of the town was often used, especially when language was a barrier to communication.

I guess if there was more than one vampire named Aro in Italy, they might end up calling one of them Aro Volterra and the other Aro Rome, or a variation of it, like Romano, like Ray Romano.

Aren’t you glad you brought it up:-)

2nd, IF whether or not they have something, it’s not our business. Some fans forget that they r human being & have a life too. Really don’t get me wrong, but I can’t get all the fuzz ’bout this… let it be!!!!! I think as a huge fan base WE can do something to easy some of this pressure… HOW? simple enough: don’t WASTE our money in this kind of crap magazines, don’t go @ web gossip… simple things, but I’m sure this help. IF u guys over Lex do this kind of campain, most of the real fans will follow

I completely agree with you. I am very happy that there are still twilight web pages, which are paparazzi free (thank you twilightlexicon) and which do not support this Robsten sh*t. They are close to each other and everything else is just between them. Let them breathe!!

I am so sickened by all the speculation about these two. Literally sick to my stomach. I love them both and I think we as fans need to realize that they have work to do, that they are doing for our beneift so that we can see our favorite books be played out on the big screen. The pressure that they are under is tremendous. I lurk at the pro “Robsten” websites and other blogs and I think that people are really obsessed with them becoming a couple. We would all love to see true love happen before our eyes but obviously they want to keep their private lives just that. We blame the papz but we feed them, there would be no need for it if we weren’t demanding the $ Shot of these two. Not only that but half of the pics we get and all the Robsten vids are from FANS. Let it die already and let them be. I admire this site for not “pushing” something that we all may want but don’t know for sure is happening. They are people too! sad for Rob and Kristne today…
