BDH was a terrible Victoria. Rachelle was so much better for the part. I don’t know why they couldn’t have let Rachelle finish her role in Eclipse. The character was just not the same. BDH looked more scared than mean. It was a joke!

Nothing against Bryce, and I love Rachelle.

BUT I thingk as Twilight fans being as commited as we are, this puts a dark cloud over the saga. We all felt secure and happy with the cast and it makes you wonder who is next to leave, or get put out.

Just makes me remember when Rob said, on the DVD, “Get me Efron”, joking around. Not that I think they would replace HIM, but it is just disheartening.
The cast felt so close and this is just too weird.

I have this strange feeling of abandoment. I feel like my parents just got divorced, (and I am 30 years old.)

Rachelle didnt back out, she just had a 10 day overlap of Eclipse and another movie and Summit sacked her. This decision was completely unfair to Rachelle considering how devoted she was to her character. Bryce is a great actress but for Victoria?…no. Epic fail Summit>:(

It might have been in her contract with Summit to leave her schedule completely open in August for Eclipse. While it seems unfair….she did accept another role during that time frame. I think she made a mistake, and she wishes Summit could/would accommodate her. I think she is beautiful, and she seems nice, but she was never my Victoria. Rachelle played her too smart arsy and over confident. I imagine Victoria as cat like, skittish, a little deranged. Since her part was so tiny in Twilight, I wish they would re-shoot her scenes for NM using BDH. It would make things a little more consistent, since the character is building in NM. Yeah, I said it. LOL

I just read over on Eonline that this was summits decision, not Rachelle’s. She has a statement that says she was fully committed to the part of Victoria and that summit wasn’t willing to work around her 10 day shoot for that other movie. (I would link the article but I don’t know how). It also goes on to say that money is probably why they made this choice. With BDH they won’t have to pay as much…just go to E and check it out.

I just sent her a message to let her know that we haven’t forgotten her. I’ll miss her terribly. She was so perfect as Victoria. I just can’t believe what’s happening. This has definitely something to do with Summit. Rachelle was so excited to be in Eclipse, it’s impossible that she walked out on her own. And what did the rest of the cast think about this? I’m just so upset right now. I don’t know what to do.

Bummer! Rachelle is so good as Victoria. Couldn’t Summit work around her shooting schedule? Her absence feels like it would break the continuity and momentum of the saga’s story, because Victoria is an important part of the action of Eclipse, and the audience has gotten used to Rachelle as Victoria.

Geez, if Summit was going to do such a big recast, why don’t they recast some of the other actors as well? I still prefer Stephenie Meyer’s original suggestions with Henry Cavill as Edward and Emily Browning as Bella anyway.

I think it was a hard decision for Rachelle but the other movie she is doing seems more of an Oscar movie than a fan-blockbuster and for her to secure her future in acting, I think she needed to do it. If not she may have just become that evil chick from the vampire movies and not get any serious work.

Im still disappointed but I understand how she did it.
