New Moon Movie Clips from Comic Con

Posted by Twilight_News - 24/07/09 at 06:07 pm

So many of you have e-mailed us with various links informing us that these are on line. REPEATEDLY people in attendance were asked NOT to film these and specifically were told that if they end up on You Tube that we may not get film clips next year. Yet alas, there is always someone who has to go and spoil the fun. Thus we end up with multiple you tube versions of the footage. The admin team has discussed this at length with some other web sites as well and we have decided that we have to acknowledge the presence of these clips as this is obviously what everyone is talking about right now. So… even though we worry that this means we won’t get great footage like this next year… and even though these aren’t supposed to be for the general public… we are kind of up against a wall. Thus, we offer it to you to decide if you want to watch them or not. This way you can stop e-mailing us to tell us they are out there. And if they get removed from You Tube, then they get removed. But here are the clips shown in very bad filming with all the screaming going on around you so you don’t get the full effect.

Just to clarify on the issue – every clip from Alice in Wonderland to Tron came with the rule that we were not supposed to tape the footage.  And when they say we might not get clips next year, they mean from any of the studios who shared clips.  They give comic con special clips to reward the fans who paid the money and wait in line.  But with you tube and the internet, it’s now the fact that even if you can’t go you still get the reward.  So this wasn’t just Summit that was protecting their footage but EVERY studio there that was asking for support.

Okay I know were not suppost to see them but still I am SUPER EXCITED. I was so happy when I saw these clips

  • fluid says:

oh come on.. it’s free publicity for summit and they know it.. of course they were aware of the fact it was going to end up online one way or the other. those threats of not showing any footage next year.. please.. ridiculous

  • ericka says:

teachnicly there wont be any clips next year because it’ll be out

  • Kristin says:

For the record, Lexicon, I appreciated your stance at the beginning of the day – if people wanted to find them, they could do so without you breaking the official rules. I found them by going one whole click away from your site.

Just wanted you to know I didn’t hold it against you in the LEAST that you didn’t have the videos. Stay Strong, Lexicon! We love that you toe the line and are sure that the Summit folks do as well.

And GREAT JOB with your ComicCon coverage. The tweets have been terrific!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Jessa says:

Does this mean, that at next years Comic-Con, will they be promoting Eclipse? Wont Eclipse already have been released?
Or will they be promoting Breaking Dawn?
    Just curious.
The clips were great, btw. Super Excited :D !

  • Jess says:

It was SO worth it to see the clips clearly instead of having these horrible clips of the screen all wobbly with crappy resolution. I know you guys won’t listen but it was SO MUCH MORE awesome to get the full effect AND you probably would be SO much more happier to see the clips when they come out in official trailers.

BUT I know I’d be just as curious as the rest of you fans…So, I agree with the Lexicon…these clips are really horrible compared to the real thing!!

    • Sophie says:

I almost didn’t watch them. But I can’t wait to see the real things not the video taped once. Does anyone know when they might be on T.V of big screen??

      • Kristina says:

I think they’re going to put it on the NewMoonTheMovie website and very quickly… they did it with trailer so I don’t see any reason why wouldn’t they do that with clips

  • Jess says:

Whoa, there’s another Jessa out there….Hey Jessa – I was just talking to my friend out that & Eclipse WILL be out before Comic Con next year. So, I’m curious as well. I don’t think they’ll be there next year.

    Jess

  • Jules says:

    Goosebumps – all over!

  • lennah says:

honestly, i wanted to see these clips.

i tried to get comic-con tickets and failed miserably, and i even had the okay from my parents until i found out the tickets were sold out. i was ready to pay, and was devastated to find out that i’d either be saving up for another trip, or going to san diego sans comic-con.

i would have gladly npaid to have seen these clips, and i’d see them on youtube even if it meant no footage from a movie ext year that’s already been released. boohoo. ah well. even if it’s breaking dawn stuff, at least we’ll know that no fans have seen the clips, and we can sulk together.

and i must say, the footage isn’t all that bad for “prohibited filming”. the quality is semi-good and you would have heard the same screaming by being in the theater yourself. it’s like being there yourself.

so, even though i love you all at the lex, your comments are a little rude toward the person who so generously risked her readmission to film the clips for the rest of us. i personally, and probably many other twilighters, am thankful she filmed it.

thank you, youtube girl, for making my day, even if some people had to be party-poopers about it. thank you.

*no hurt feelings intended by my little rant*

    • Twilight_News says:

I’m sorry you feel I was rude to the person who filmed these clips and posted them on line. It was breaking the rules so to speak and I worry about how it will change things down the line. Where do we draw the line on when to follow the rules and when not to?

I kind of liken this to Midnight Sun being put up on the internet. Once it was done, there was no stopping it. Was it right to post it? No. Can we, as admins of a heavily trafficked fan site, ignore what everyone is reading and talking about? No. Do I feel badly about what happened and worry about how it will effect things in the future. Yes. Same thing here. I don’t think this is on the same scale as that, but it is similar.

      Alphie

      • Cindy says:

I think it’s good yall didn’t want to post the clips they asked you not to. I think it was stupid and very very unrealistic for Sunnit and every other production co to think that someone with a camera/video phone was not going to get it and put it on u tube Even people.com and Enews have the utube link on their sites. They should have just put it on the New Moon website in good quality and then everyone would be there looking instead of digging around everywhere else to find them.

  • Erin says:

Oh wow! They were actually a lot better than I expected. This movie is going to be awesome! The increase in quality is fantastic. I love the way the color looks and I think phantom Edward is an ingenious way to add more Robert Pattinson (always a good thing!).

    Can’t wait!

  • anh says:

Giggling like a teenager… and I think I squealed a little too. Had to remind myself that Taylor is 17… good grief at the 8-pack. LOL And… Of course there’s never enough Edward for me… HA!

  • BloodSuckingLeech says:

I’m very proud of your decision here Lex! You guys have the rep of being the goody two shoes web site in the Twilight fandom. It’s refreshing to see you break out of that bubble and do something a little bad girl for the exceptionally grateful fans!

Saw these clips earlier on a diff. site–they are wicked awesome!

No one is spoiling anything-it’s ridiculous to think they will not promote their own movie. Sounds like they were talking to two year olds…don’t do this or we won’t do it again next year-puh leez!

You know, perhaps if Summit did a little more sharing of the movie with us we wouldn’t be starved for the clips.

    Thanx!

    • Twilight_News says:

Like I said in the post, this wasn’t just Summit who made this request. In fact, I had my camera up and ready to film Johnny Depp during the Alice in Wonderland preview . My camera was Not filming, but security came over and wanted to see my camera to make sure I hadn’t taped anything that I shouldn’t have. Obviously, I did and I was fine. But Summit wasn’t the only one asking this request. One of the things a panelist said on an earlier panel was “Something that every film maker wants to see is a pirated copy of their hard work splashed up in raw footage on YouTube.” That wasn’t said by Summit but I can see their point.

  • Matilda says:

Of course someone is going to film these clips. And for you to moralise over the people who filmed it is laughable. 99% of fans were not able to attend Comicon – if Summitt was thinking of all the fans, they would have released the clips to the site as soon as the panel was over.

Sorry the “fun” was spoiled for the few people that got to see them at Comic-con. Elitist much? Get over yourselves. The only reason you have them posted is to increase traffic to your site. Ugh.

    • Sara says:

I so agree with you on this. So what if some clips were released? Not everyone has the means to make it Comic Con and even if they did, do you want millions of people showing up there? It isn’t a zoo already? We are the paying fans of the books and movies and we deserve to see the clips like anyone else. I may have not made it to Comic Con, but I saw Twilight in theater like 3 or more times plus bought the DVD. I don’t deserve 2 online clips of the upcoming sequel because I didn’t pay for a measly Comic Con ticket? Come on! Get over yourself.

    • Susan says:

It doesn’t matter anyway. People would have had wayyy more fun seeing the clips on the big screen with nice sound and better resolution and the cast all there. So they still get the “reward”. But at least this way other people get to be in on some part of it. Not everyone has the capabilities or the means to fly to San Diego. I don’t know why they should be punished for that. And if it’s so against the Lexicon’s morals then why put them up? Can’t you just ignore the emails? If I really wanted to find them it wouldn’t take that much effort and I could do it without the Lexicon handing it to me. Just my opinion.

    • Kimberly says:

You took the words right out of my mind. I have a daughter in a summer school program so even if I could have afforded it (in this economy no way) I would not take my child out of school for my own guilty pleasures… this movie is FOR THE FANS, all of us. That attitude is a good way to cause lack of interest in this movie franchise. Summit basically rewarded people for spending money and treking cross country. Have Comic-Con in the middle of the country next year and maybe the rest of us will be worthy of such “rewards”.

      • shona says:

middle of the country as in the USA? lol, you think you have it bad! Some of us would have to cross CONTINENTS to get to this convention lol! I agree with you for the most part, I myself am living in ireland, and i think its all well and good for Summit entertainment to say that if you wanted to see the clips- you should have attended the event. For some of us, that was a treat we just cant afford, no matter how devoted we are as fans. Do you know how much a twelve hour flight over from Ireland actually costs????? And then further transport and accomodation on top of that??

To whoever put up these video’s on youtube, THANK YOU. i am glad to know someone took into consideration us who DONT LIVE IN THE USA, us people who found it literally impossible to go.

We in Europe are never going to have easy access to these conventions. Why should we miss out on all the fun because of it? These clips, and the ones for eclipse, should have been made public by summit, for the enjoyment of all. I am so sick of Summit only taking the citizens of the USA into consideration.

        Shona,
        Ireland

      • shona says:

Can i please bring to everyones attention,

    • Siobhan says:

I definitely would have paid to see these clips at comic-con. BUT I live on the other side of the world!! It is totally unrealistic for Summit etc to expect people not to film these, I mean, come on. Am I expected to pay thousands of dollars to travel to San Diego? Nuh uh.

  • sara says:

there are a lot of people who paid to get into this but couldnt because the aud was full. along with people in other countries who couldnt make it to comic con in this economy. i think these vids pleased A LOT of fans. last year i was thrilled when i found the sneek peek of the twilight movie online when i couldnt go to comic con. the movies coming out in a few months anyways

  • Rachel M&M /RachelStar13 says:

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! Love the clips, love ComiCon this will be a temporary fix, to help me make it till Nov 20Th! Wow so far away! at least Phoenix 14Th TwiTour will be another fix until I get my needed dose of Heroin Nov. 20Th! Yes I’m a Twilight Addict & I’m not seeking treatment just my favorite drug- I Absolutely Love It!

  • Jazz Girl says:

Let me first say that I do appreciate your stance in relation to respecting Summitt’s wishes as to when the clips are released to the public. It is their artistic material, after all.

That being said, first and foremost, I think it was just bloody petty for them not to post them, say on the much hyped official website as soon as they were aired in the ball room. The fans of the Twilight Saga are the ones who gave Summitt the current market power they have to make demands like that and the way they have repaid us is horrible to say the least.

Second, for them to put the ownus on the fans not to post them for all the world to see was borderline cruel. Every fan in that room knew how lucky they were, and knew that, if sitting at home, they would have been doing exactly what we all were last night; scouring every link we could think of for the clips.

Figure it out Summitt. The least you can give back to us is 3 minutes of clips.

  • Julie says:

I appreciate the Lexicon’s stance on this… but not all of us are able to go to comic con not to mention this is publicity for the movie… they probably don’t care TOO much. But the clips where AMAZING

  • Ariana says:

I agree with Matilda & sara. It’s not fair for the super-fans who don’t live anywhere near San Diego, or where ever Comic Con took place, or who can’t simply afford to go. Why should we be left out? They shouldn’t even have shown the clips if they didn’t want them to leak. What they SHOULD’VE done was put them on the official site. It’s not even fair that they showed them there, in my opinion, although I understand you guys paid to go. I know Chris was just being very nice & rewarding the fans (or some of them, I should say), but they should re-think about showing clips there in the future. It’s just not fair to a lot of fans, & they’re going to get leaked anyway. Although I do agree that they should not have been filmed, if the fans were asked not to. And by the way, some of us don’t mind if we don’t get to see them “in full effect”. Just saying.

  • nicole says:

OMG! i can’t wait! stay strong lexicon!

  • Arianna says:

God… I’m going to be honest, I hate this. The scene in Volterra is so important to me and this is just… Terrible. It’s not dramatic enough, it’s not emotional enough. It’s cheesy. I’m starting to give up on Twilight, at least the movies. It’s just.. ugh.

    • Dude! You gotta remember you’re watching this through a crappy camera with tons of people screaming and jostling the view around it. Of course it looks a little silly, but I’m sure it will look even more magnificent on the big screen in a quiet movie theater where you can hear all of the music and see the epicness clearly :)

    • mananda says:

I completely agree. The acting just isn’t that great. There are some in the movie that are believable, but for the most part, not so much. I don’t think we have this opinion b/c of a second hand video. Twilight pretty much backs this up. lol

I’m with you on almost giving up on the movies.

      • Santiva Potter says:

Ariana, amanda, we are all on the same track. After the crazy hype and the movie that wasn’t that great…twilight is dying for me. Which is a shame, because I really did like that first book.

  • cristy_702 says:

Ahh!! I’m supper excited for the movie!!! :D

  • radsauce says:

    lol
i was just rickrolled looking for better versions of those clips

    =]

  • Twi~dancer72 says:

i gotta tell u that i was so dissapointed with the first movie that i stopped being excited about new moon but thease clips soooooo brought it all back to me Thanks Summit!!!!!

  • Amanda says:

OMG. Or shall I say OME! I saw these clips & my love for Twilight just grew a thousand times! These are exactly as I had envisioned them, it’s perfect! I have seriously grown to become fearful for movie sequels (saw Harry Potter 6 & wanted to cry it was so bad) but now I’ve seen the stills from New Moon and I feel reassured. I think I’m a Chris Weitz fan because I love this much more than Twilight! AHHH! Only months away from having my addiction satiated haha

  • sheila says:

Oh please….Summit knows exactly what they’re doing regarding clips. Why else would both of these involve shirtless characters?! In this day and age things are going to be leaked. It’s not as if there is any malicious intent involved. The buzz for this movie just, impossibly, increased ten-fold. I found the clips this morning on AOL! As Edward would say: no blood, no foul. Thank you Summit and Lexicon. We can’t all be in San Diego.

  • Mary Alice Cullen says:

Omg i loved the videos Jacob looks sooo hot, and Edward showing up thing is awsome. I hate that the 2nd video wasn’t very well recorded but thats okay thats the part i want to be kept a secret.

  • Jenee says:

    Wow. Oh. Em. EE!

  • gwenni says:

Wow. The difference in camera operation, alone, is going to make NM 50% better than the first. Mind you, the first is what it was. It was an idea and one that didn’t have the financial backing that NM now enjoys BECAUSE of Twilight. Even with the crappy 2nd-hand clip (but Thx to whomever did it!!), I see WOW in the shot of Bella on the bike. Did you notice how she’s sharply focused [on] and the mountains behind her are blurred? Just a leetle more kaPOW, there. I’m very happy to see that the Edward-ition is SO much better than I expected. Why, there’s just no cheese at all!! :)

  • gwenni says:

    Oh! And …. SQUEEEEE!!!!

  • Marley says:

It is annyoing that they are “reawarding” fans who have more money then other fans. If i had the means id be at comic con but i have a job and rent and cannot go to something like that, yet im still a HUGE fan, so why dont fans like me get a “reward”

    the clips were amazing tho.

    • Twilight_News says:

I see your point about rewarding fans with money, but that’s kind of what conventions are about. This has been the way of things for years. I remember way back when I was little reading about fans getting sneak peaks or Return of the Jedi. Back when we all didn’t have computers and couldn’t see it we just had to reply on print to tell us what they saw. It’s just that in the age of you tube and twitter and instant world access things are much more accessible.

  • Gina says:

First I’d like to say that I do respect the Lexicon’s stance on this issue. Afterall, you guys are one of the very few websites listed on New Moon’s Official Website and you need to maintain that relationship. However, I don’t personally see a problem. The clips are only going to feed the frenzy and hype of New Moon. That benefits Summit incredibly. Would I have preferred to be at Comic Con to view them in person? Absolutely. But, it wasn’t possible, so I’m willing to thank those people who broke the rules in order for the rest of us to see the clips. It will not prevent me from standing in line to watch the NM at midnight(then go home, go to sleep and watch it again in the morning). I paid to see twilight 9 times, so they’ve gotten plenty of my money and will do so in November. BTW, I’m even considering seeing BandSlam just so I can see the next trailer and I’m sure I am not the only one.

    • Jennifer says:

I totally agree with you 100%. If it weren’t for us, the Twilight community as a whole (not just those of us who were able to attend Comic-Con), there would be no New Moon and the tons of merchandising tie-ins for which Summit collects some of my hard earned paycheck. While appreciating the Lexicon’s relationship with Summit, don’t cater to the Man! Continue to give back to the fans who read this blog (and others), see the movies and buy the merchandise.

    • Twilight_News says:

I see this point. I really do. And I believe that these clips will eventually be released for everyone to see. It’s just kind of sad that this is the way so many people are seeing them for the first time. A few of the comments here have been how awful the clips are. If they had been in the room, they wouldn’t be saying that. Both scenes, for me, were so much better than I ever anticipated. My whole group around me just said “Bravo Chris Weitz” when they finished. But with this version… you totally don’t get that effect. And that’s why they ask you not to post them like this – so you can see them the way they were meant to be seen. But if I had not been there, would I be disappointed that I couldn’t see them right away? Oh sure. So I do understand your point.

  • Jo Ann says:

I remember when people respected other people’s property. Honestly, I agree that you had little choice but to put this on but it irks me to no end that someone felt the need to steal these clips in the first place.
They can’t be twilight fans…not enough integrity – not enough Cullen has rubbed off.
BTW, I wish they hadn’t come online but once they arrived here, I watched them. All I know is that this movie is going to be a-freakin-mazing!

  • Jenny Cullen says:

I love this site. You guys are the best and stay true to your fans. Plus everyone on this site is respectful of others comments and opinions.

I loved the clips. I love how Bella looks in New Moon compared to Twilight. Also the vampire makeup is 100% more realistic looking.

Thanks for your awesome site Lexicon keep up the awesome work!!!

  • Rockin'It says:

    *Dies*

    Taylor is a GOD!!!!

  • Rae says:

It’s like going to a midnight movie, you know everyone else will see it in the morning but you get the satisfaction of seeing it first (for comic con atendees). I think it’s fine that’s on the Internet.

  • Becki says:

Does anyone else have an issue with the amount of make-up Kristen Stewart is wearing? It’s appalling! She doesn’t even look like Bella should. I don’t like it at all. Still super excited for the movie though!!!

  • authorinthemaking1 says:

i loved the clips thanks for showing them:) i am both a fan of the hp(harry potter) series and twilight. after jk rowling finished and released her final deathly hallows i thought that i would never find such an amazing author as her again but after watching twilight i wanted to give the books a fair chance and now i can say that it was a very great series. im a new author ready to release my first poetry book for young teens and adults. i write about love, fantasy and just about anything you could ever write about. i start publishing august first. but without brilliant writers like jk rowling and stephenie meyer then i wouldnt be the writer i am. and i am going to publish a novel of my own as well.
thanks for the clips i really enjoyed them:)

  • Sara M says:

I was satisfied with the descriptions and live blogs from G4tv. I will be very sad if this ruins it for future years.

  • Sarah says:

Despite the fact that these clips illegit and I support the fact that you remind us of this, I was in full hysterics watching the bike scene.

  • Cynthia says:

Eh, I don’t really agree with the whole “rewarding the fans who paid” bit. Isn’t it a reward just being there and seeing the actors & director in person? As many commentators have pointed out, not everyone had the opportunity or means to attend Comic-Con. Does that mean that because they couldn’t support one Twilight related event they are any less of a fan? Absolutely not. Even fans that paid for tickets were unable to enter the auditorium simply because they didn’t get there maybe 5 minutes earlier.

Not to mention you’re forgetting fans of other fandoms that weren’t able to enter Hall H because of the many Twilight fans that were savvy enough to get in line first. Do you think they’re going to belittle the other fans in their fandom for being uber excited that a clip from their movie, TV show, etc. is on YouTube? Absolutely not. They’re probably hoping to check it out too since they missed it.

I get it. You guys are lucky you went to Comic-Con and moralistically it was wrong for this person to film this when being asked not to. But I think the author of this blurb should try their best to keep it more about the news and less about editorializing. I also agree that you guys had every right to simply ignore the pleas or informative emails on this subject. Your goal is to be a website that does its best to respect the wishes of Stephenie, Summit, and all people who are involved in the Twilight fandom.

Maybe you should also make more of an effort to respect the fans who aren’t as lucky to have the opportunities that are extended to the Lexicon. If Summit has another Twilight Saga panel/booth/conference next year, you guys might not get a clip now but at least you’ll still get everything you saw this year. Hopefully those of us that didn’t attend will have better luck next year and will be “rewarded” like you guys have.

I should mention that I understand a lot of this has to do with Summit withholding the clips, but at the same time I’d be careful next time when wording your stance on something on such a huge forum like the Lexicon. Just because Summit isn’t really doing it’s best to hold all the fans in equality doesn’t mean you guys have to follow their lead.

    • Twilight_News says:

I’m sorry you felt I was harsh in my wording. I decided that I couldn’t just post these clips without explaining the reasoning and the amount of debate that went into the decision… and that comes with some editorializing. Usually we just post things and let the fans decide what to read and how to feel. But this was different for us. Like I said earlier, I kind of liken this to Midnight Sun being put up on the internet.

  • Alaina says:

I have to agree with everyone that has talked about supporting the Lex’s position on these clips and the fact that most aren’t able to attend Comic-Con to see the clips first-hand. I do hope Summit puts these on the NewMoonMovie site….as I belive this is the fair thing to do. I did watch the clips, I’m not one that mids being spoiled a bit, and I am definatly looking forward to the Movie’s release even more. :)

On the whole “put these online and you might not get more next year” warning….won’t Eclipse alreay be in theaters by the time Comic-Con 2010 occurs??? (Yes…that was a rhetorical question)

    • Twilight_News says:

Like I’ve tried to explain, this wasn’t JUST for the New Moon footage. This could change every film makers decision to show a clip or not. Read up a bit to see what I posted about Alice in Wonderland and how security almost took my camera away even though I wasn’t fimling. Or about one filmmakers comment (not from Summit) about how these things end up on You Tube.

  • Shannon17 says:

In my opinion, Summit should have posted the clips to the website as soon as that evening. No fewer people will attend future Cons or other events if the clips are made available asap. By posting them, Summit would be rewarding the entire fandom and generating more interest (as if that were humanly possible) in the movie.

It is disingenious of the Lex to claim that they are just bowing to pressure and it will be our fault if the Lex gets punished with lesser access.. If you choose a side or a stance, then you should stick with it. I would respect the site more for that than acting as a victim.

  • Melissa says:

I appreciate the lex playing by the rules… and I seriously have been re-watching these on youtube all day so I didn’t need you guys to have to post them too… But at the same time I feel like it’s being a bit ridiculous. I am a 3rd year medical student who doesn’t live anywhere near where they hold comic con… I do not have the luxery of being able to go down there. Does that mean I am any less of a Twilight fan than those who did ‘pay money’ to go to Comic Con???!! Of course not. I say why not let the rest of us see these clips?? Its not like we are making money off of it somehow, this is free publicity for them… the fact that the video with Taylor taking his shirt off is now the NUMBER 1 video on youtube and Summit still hasn’t taken it off… tells me they knew it would end up on there and they know this is publicity for them…

hi, I’m sorry I would gladly pay the comic con ticket and even a domestic ticket… but there’s no comic con near me! not that I’m aware of! so what do I do?
so, I do not support this, but I don’t have the choice of the reward… and I know it’s not the greatest reason, but I couldn’t resist! HOPE THEY HURRY TO GET NEW MOON DOWN HERE!

i’m pretty disappointed that somebody felt inclined to disregard blatent rules posed several different times at the panel; at the whole comic con event in general. i suppose there always has to be that one person, though.. (sigh.) oh well.
in any case, i’m sorry to hear you were nagged so much about this.
i truly do greatly appreciate all of your hard work and effort in keeping us so consistently updated, though :)

I’m gonna agree with the Lexicon on the whole “filming when not supposed to” thing, mostly because you hear everyday of people getting caught recording whole movies in movie theaters. It’s not right, and it’s against the law. Yes, there are people who don’t get to do things like ComicCon, and the series conventions that happen every year, like seeing the cast of Twilight at ComicCon to going to a movie premiere (like Harry Potter). Not everyone lives in LA, or NYC, or has a friend’s cousin’s uncle who happens to be on this council that gave him/her free tickets to this event where that actor from this one popular movie will be.

Plus, since people actually filmed the sneek peeks, and posted them on the Internet, there is a possibility that we may not see clips the next time a Twilight Saga movie is at ComicCon. It isn’t fair to the people who didn’t go, becuase when the people who did go post a video they weren’t supposed to film, it looks as though they are bragging about their experience. Like they’re saying “Look at me! I went to ComicCon, and got this cool video without people noticing, and now I’m gonna post it on youtube so I can gloat about my good fortune with the masses!” Not to mention that when the next movie is announced at ComicCon, there may be a chance that it won’t have clips to share, which leaves ALL the fans in the dark.

We live in tough economic times, where not many people can afford to do extravagant things, like got to ComicCon, or fly to NYC to see a movie premeiere. People who are able to do these sorts to things are very lucky, and should understand that money to most people right now is like the eye in a needle; not everyone can fit the string through the eyehole, either because they can’t see it, or it just won’t fit.

So what’s the point of putting up video if the same thing will be officially posted sooner or later? Half the time the footage is blurry, pixulated, or you can’t hear anything at all. To be honest, it would be better to just wait for the official posting of the scenes, and that fans should stop getting the clips when they are told not to. The press already gets them, and they’ll be posted by the studio on the website. So really, what’s the point?

sad that fans will ruin the future of the twiight movie just for a few extra hits on their youtube pages…

Watching Bella crash head-first into a rock? That’s something I don’t mind rewinding for.

I understand the situation and not wanting to post the clips to stay on Summit’s good side but it’s not a big deal. I can see if it was the whole movie but it’s just a couple of clips.
