She could not name one thing she liked about it. Yet another celebrity jumping on the “twilight will make me rich” bandwagon.
Excuse you! You better back off of Shakira. She is beautiful person and she has done more for her country than most celbs cans say. She doesn’t need to jump on any bandwagon. If she says she likes it, the she genuinely likes it.
Did anyone hear her new song that was released a few days ago,,,it is called SHE WOLF. It is really good. I am sure that the actress who is cast can post it on her fan site, and I am all too sure it will be a fan favorite..check it out. Conincendently it just came at the same time as the almost Leah Clearwater announcement. Hey the song is good.
Shakira is such a sweetie. I don’t think she needs Twilight to make her rich. She already has the voice and the looks, she’s just another fan of the books…or should I say movie? I love to hear what people have to say about the movie when they havn’t read the books.
It kind of bothers me how they don’t really mention the book… it’s all about the MOVIE now:( i mean dont get my wrong, i lovee the movie. but the book should come first… always;)

Yeah…it doesn’t really seem like she’s very ginuine about like Twilight. The least she could have done was at least give one thing she liked ab the movie. I hate that everyones talking about the movie, but very few people are talking about the book. It makes me a little sad that it was even made into a movie (although a good one it is).
Could be she only saw the movie, does she say she read the books? How could she not be a Twi-hard, its contagious, Stephenie put the voo-doo on these books for sure, you can’t get enough. lol

I don’t know, she seemed geniueily addicted to me. The way she was like, “I love Twilight. I LOVE Twilight!” That’s how I am when people ask me. The serious face and the fervent “I love Twilight.” And of course she couldn’t name something she loved about it. What’s NOT to love??? She would have spent the rest of the interview talking about it!

Well I don’t know but she did seem like she does like it and when she said I can’t say she technically did say what she liked. In other words Edward, or Rob for that matter. She just said she was too old to say, which is kind of lame cuz she’s like in her early thirties I believe. Anyways, it’s cool that she likes it. For some odd reason some of her songs remind me of the Twilight Saga, even if they were written before Twilight came out.

She sure didn’t fool me! I love Shakira don’t get me wrong. But she couldn’t even mention one thing she “loved” about Twilight. I hate it that people love Twilight since it was such a great film. But really it wasn’t if you compare it to the books. The books should get more credit than the movie.
OMG! Can you imagine her doing a duet with Rob… HAHAHA.. That will not sound too good I think. I’ve heard Rob and sometimes its hard to make out what he’s singing. Shakira is even harder to understand. Oh man that will be a mess.
Why would she say she loved twilight in the first place if she doesn’t really like it. Its obvious she doesn’t need the fame, everybody in the world knows of her. i mean come on no matter how much i love the books i have to admit she is even more famous than twilight. Its even hard for me to say what i love the most about twilight, plus her english isn’t that good i saw her struggling at some point. I bet that if they asked her in spanish she would say more than i love twilight, the love story and the acting. and about Rob, what was she supposed to say, no thank you..It was the polite thing to do. The books are way better i agree, but as long as people like either the books or the movies it doesn’t really matter to me. I think its great celebs are trying to be part of twilight, even though SOME might just be in it for the money, but in the end they only make it bigger. I love twilight and i love Shakira.
I agree with you. And it’s very possible that maybe Shaki didn’t want HER interview to be about Twilight, so she was just trying to keep it simple. MTV really needs to stop asking everyone they interview about Twilight because that’s just becoming obnoxious.

Shakira’s body language gave her away. She may have sat through it, but in reality she couldn’t care less about Twilight. Every time she said she “loved” it she looked at the ground or to the right which means that she is lying. She also scrunched up her nose the first time she said “Twilight” which is a dead give away. She is one of the those people (like me) who can’t look you in the eye and lie. She only met the interviewer’s eyes again when she said that she loves fantasy movies like Harry Potter. Not that I’m criticizing her. She doesn’t have to like it, and I think she did the smart thing by trying to say something positive about it anyway.
I have read a few article about her on the internet back in the day and from what I remember, she is a very intelligent, well learned individual. I thought her first language was Portuguese, I could be wrong. I know she speaks several. I don’t think it was the language barrier holding her back from expressing specifically her “love” for Twilight. I am pretty sure she has never seen the movie because she “heard” that Rob was a good musician…… He sings two frickin songs in the movie and plays the piano. How can you not see from that? I think she was told facts about Robert Pattinson, like his age and his musical abilities. That’s the band wagon she’s jumping on.
I think it would be wonderful if shakira put a song on one of the upcoming soundtracks to the twilight series. I heard that Jackson Rathbone is following in the footsteps of Robert Pattinson and also putting a single on the new moon soundtrack. I found that pretty interesting! They are all so talented.
I love Shakira. And I love her new song She Wolf… made me think of Twilight, can’t lie. Wonder if she had some hot werewolves in mind with this song haha.
