There was some confusion today when apparently Fandango started selling tickets for the Twilight Showing happening at the Gaslamp in San Diego and they just as suddenly stopped selling the tickets and folks got a sold out message. It was all the more baffling because the tickets weren’t even supposed to be on sale yet. Not to worry, our friends over at Twilighters Anonymous got to the bottom of it.
Quoted with permission:
“Good news, Twilighters. If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the special Twilight screening after Comic Con, no worries, there are still some available. There was some confusion earlier surrounding ticket sales, but we’ve got all the details and are hoping to clear up any remaining questions. Earlier today, a slight glitch in the system allowed Fandango to make the Twilight screening tickets available for sale, but the option was removed shortly thereafter and now reads that the tickets are sold out.
In short: the ticket purchase option was removed for the time being but will be available again starting Monday. If you are in the San Diego area and would like to purchase hard copy tickets for the event, you may do so starting Monday. If you aren’t in the area or would just like to purchase online, you can also do that starting Monday on Fandango’s website.
An important note, however: if you’ve purchased your tickets on Fandango, you will have until Thursday at 1pm to pick them up in person. After 1pm, the box office at the theater will close down and you will be unable to retrieve your hard copy ticket. If you neglect to pick up your hard copy tickets – even if you present your printed confirmation page at the event – you will be denied admission.
You can purchase your tickets (starting Monday) here on Fandango’s website“

Fabulous news – thanks. But what time Monday do they go on sale? Did they say? Am I going to have to wake up at 12:01 a.m. and hit the website?
I want to be clear on something, if we did purchase tickets in the small window yesterday that they were available, these are still valid, right?
I just called the cinema and they said if you purchased your tickets during that glitch, you’re good as long as you pick up your tickets before 1 p.m. And they also said be sure to bring the credit card you bought the tickets with.
I called the theater in San Diego and they said that we’d have until 1pm Wednesday to pick up the tickets for the special Twilight showing.
