Potter and Twilight: The Wall Street Journal’s Take
Posted by Twilight_News - 10/07/09 at 07:07 am
The Wall Street Journal has an article comparing the marketing strategies and target audiences of Twilight and Harry Potter. As usual, they seem to miss the point that there are a HUGE number of adults seeing both pictures.
“Hollywood marketing executives say that these days the “Twilight” franchise has influenced almost every studio marketing campaign that targets teenage girls. Some posters for the upcoming “Potter” film echo “Twilight”’s emphasis on romance. One features Harry and his crush, Ginny, gazing longingly into each others’ eyes, in a pose reminiscent of “Twilight”’s now-iconic image of its star-crossed lovers, Bella and Edward. Another shows Harry’s friend Ron with his girlfriend Lavender, while a jealous Hermione scowls in the background.
Warner Bros. and the team behind “Potter” say they didn’t take the “Twilight” franchise into account when designing their marketing materials for “The Half-Blood Prince.” Instead, they crafted a campaign aimed to resonate with previous “Potter” films, the executives and filmmakers say, dismissing the notion that there is a rivalry between the franchises among fans.”
Do you actually think Potter is copying Twilight marketing? And who says they have to compete, anyone else a fan of both for different reasons?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were because if you think about it the Twilight series is the first SERIES of films to compete with Harry Potter. Given the response to Twilight they know that the mania for it is just going to get worse and of course it must be irritating that the release of the final two Harry Potter films will be running parallel to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Too Bad!
They don’t have to compete, people will more that likely see them both but at the end of the day everyone will be competing for top dollar (or euro in my case lol)
I love Harry Potter because it bring me back to my childhood when you wished magic was real, But twilight is such a beautifully written story that it is impossible not to love it!
Harry Potter ran up against the Lord of the Rings series during the release of the first few films, so Twilight is definitely not the first series to run up against them.
While Twilight is a popular series right now, it has yet to prove that it will do well with more than one successive film, whereas the Harry Potter franchise has done well for all of it’s five films, and as of yesterday, HBP has sold out five hundred showings for the midnight premier. While the Twilight film was a huge box office success, the mania was minimal compared to Harry Potter.
I honestly don’t like comparing Harry Potter and Twilight. Other than being two very popular fantasy novels, they’re completely different.
Anyone who has actually READ Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince would know that the romance between the characters plays a bigger-than-normal part of the plot than the previous five books/films. Therefore, it would make sense that they would choose to focus on that for some of the marketing. I am a huge fan of both HP and Twilight, but HP has absolutely nothing to worry about, whether they open their movie six months apart or the same day as a Twilight one.
See I totally agree with that, its not that they are copying Twilight, its just the time in the HP series when love is awaking. If these folks would take the time to read the books…I love HP and look forward to all the romance going on from here on out, its been great watching them grow up.
I agree also
Just think about movie number 5 and the promo of Harry with Cho. And I wish that ppl would stop comparing the 2 series, though it seems inevitable.
Hear, hear!
My thoughts exactly!
I definitely agree also!!!
I concur…
I agree with what you said 100%, I could not have put it better myself!
I’m with you 100%. Any fan of both series knows the differences between the two. i think this is your typical journalistic beat up.
I don’t want anyone to get angry with me for posting this, as I’m being as respectful as I can. I would ask the same in response.
Twilight, as we can all realize, is a great book. As is New Moon, Eclipse, and, of course, Breaking Dawn. BUT, why is everyone still stuck on thinking Twilight is competition for Harry Potter? Let’s be honest here, Twilight is a romance. That’s what it is, all it is. You can put as much ‘action’ as you want in there, but the fans love it for it’s romance PRIMARILY. Enter Harry Potter, which is a story of morals, of love and life and death, it’s films a not-so true copy of that. With Harry Potter the fans have grown up with the boy wizard, they’ve loved him and his story, fell asleep to their parents softly getting threw the epic tale of the Boy Who Lived. Twilight, in essence, is a time piece, a book perfect for the older adults and teens of the world (and moms too), but not something you would want a 7 year-old curled up to at night, hearing about how hot Edward is.
The girl in the piece talked about how she now loves Twilight, and not Harry Potter- this is completely understandable. I was the opposite, reading Twilight in ‘06 and getting into Harry Potter last year. I, along with my preferences, changed growing up. And at the point of my life last year, Harry Potter was a better fit then hearing about the Cullens, and their obscure perfection. She evolved, partially, from her childhood as people do, and discovered there are more books out there then the Harry Potter series.
Movie wise, frankly, I see it relatively impossible for Twilight to come close to beating Harry Potter in sales. I’m not saying that Twilight won’t be setting records on it’s own, just pointing out that compared to HP, it won’t come all that close to beating it. (But, if it does, I’ll proudly eat my words). Harry Potter is no longer a passing, it’s a classic, it’s the kind of book that you’ll hand down to your kids and will be retold years from now. Twilight, as I’m sure might be the same, just can’t hold on to that ‘classic’ sort of ‘lessons-learned’ category, because, it’s an awesome read, but the lessons you learn are often obstructed by the adventure, or the plot. Movie-wise, there are tons more movies that are going to come close in beating Harry Potter. Twilight, may, or may not be one of them. Personally, I’m more prone to the latter.
In finality, I think the article was was written, if not completely bias. Bias in the fact that they made TEN YEARS on the best-seller list sound like nothing to 100 weeks. And they included only interviews to make Twilight sound BETTER then Harry Potter, and why should we do that? Can’t we love them equally?
Jen stole the words right out of my mouth, lol.
Also, is it just me, or does that picture really freak anyone else out? It looks like middle-aged Harry and Edward… *Shudder*
no i think it is the picture. it is kinda creepy.
Yeah I was thinking exactly the same thing
They’re both vastly different stories, but they do share some similarities in terms of literary themes, such as alchemy. I’ve been a big fan of the Potter books for six years now and while I still love the series,it doesn’t hold my interest as much as Twilight does now. With the Twilight saga I felt like there was a real sense of closure to the story, seeing as it’s from Bella’s pov, this portion of the saga is over.
Whereas with Harry Potter, there were a lot of unanswered questions at the end. So I felt there were alot of things still left to the readers imagination. I think there has been some concern over whether the interest in Potter is where it used to be and Potter mainia has been overshadowed somewhat by Twilight.
It’s written for young adults and older and the Potter series is supposed to be for kids, but readers of all ages like the story. So there shouldn’t be a rivalry between the two series, because it’s audiences vary.
I am a HUGE fan of both series, although, obviously, Harry was my first love. I hate it when people compare the two franchises because they really have nothing to do with each other and are two TOTALLY different stories. That said, I completely disagree with what this article says because HP has NOTHING to worry about (the fact that this movie has already broken records on advanced ticket sales says it all!) AND, like Jen said, the main focus of this book WAS romance and, I am sorry, but this book came out before anyone knew what Twilight was! So, therefore, OF COURSE the posters are going to emphasize the romance (especially Harry’s with Ginny) because this book is a crucial one for the plot of the story. I can go on for ever on this topic, but will leave it at that.
And Marion, I understand what you mean about some things in the HP series going unanswered, but I felt the same when I finished Breaking Dawn. I had so many questions! So what I did was I went online and looked for all the interviews JKR gave after and she answered many, many questions about the little holes she left. I did the same in re: to the Twilight books and went to Stephenie Meyer’s site (and others) to seek my answers. Hope this helps, if you are interested =)
Oh, forgot to mention: yeah, that drawing is scary looking!
I am a huge fan of both!! I have my midnight showing tickets for Half Blood Prince, just as I had my midnight showing tickets for Twilight. This particular book focuses highly on love, which is obviously a main theme in Twilight. If you look at the posters for Harry Potter and compare them to the past posters (of the films Yates has directed) they all have similar themes and it is ridiculous that people think the are “copying” Twilight. There is no need for either to copy the other – they both have done alarmingly well by themselves.
Agreed! They aren’t copying Twilight at all on the romance in this one. It was all in the book, so it should be in the movie!
Yeah i’m an insane fan of both!!!
Also, how can they compare the two when they’re so different!
I love HP and twilight the sae but for different reasons. With HP, i’m obsessed with the WORLD of HP and wizardry ect.. with twilight i’m in love with the characters and their relationships!
ALSO I WENT TO THE HARRY POTTER WORLD PREMIERE AND IT WAS SO AMAZING! SAW EVERYONE!
This is a tough one. I love Twilight so much, but I don’t think it has the depth of Harry Potter. They are such different series, but I do see why people want to compare them. Really, both series cater to the same age groups, and both drew in audiences outside of the children’s or young adult genre. Both series are focused on love, but different forms of love. I hate to write this on a Twilight forum, because I truly do love Twilight, but I feel like Harry Potter is a more epic tale than Twilight. So many people grew up with Harry Potter and we all read as he matured. I feel like Harry Potter is more accessible than Twilight in some ways because even though there are guys who read Twilight (and my brother is one of them), Harry Potter attracts both males and females where Twilight attracts predominantly females. Yes, I know guys read and love Twilight, but look around the theatre at the midnight showing of Harry Potter and Twilight and you’ll see a vast difference in the crowd. As much as I love Twilight, and believe me, I REALLY do, I don’t think it will be able to catch Harry Potter in the numbers. I really don’t think it has to though. Both are amazing series and I don’t see why everyone has to make it such a huge rivalry. Loving Twilight doesn’t take away from loving Harry Potter and vice versa. Twilight was the most excited I have been to read since Harry Potter. I feel lucky that Twilight came along because I didn’t think I would ever be able to get this excited about a book series again.
I totally agreed with u!
I love both books/films from Twilight & HP fanchises. I have already bought my tickets for next weeks HP film… if they had opened on the same day… I would still see both.
I have spent the last 4 years at uni reading academic books, and avoiding all fiction… except for the Harry Potter books as and when they came out as a special treat. I started reading the Twilight books after my last hand-in… and keep reading them over and over… they have renewed my interest in reading fiction.
I actually don’t see the big deal? I loved the 6th HP book and the ginny/harry connection. Young love? that is not a new concept!!!
These so called experts just do not have a clue why Twilight and Harry Potter are so big, it’s not because they appeal to teenage girls or young boys it’s because they appeal to anyone, anysex and any age who has the slightest bit of imagination in them and the love of a good book.
I’m 40 and an Electrical Engineer, my wife is the same age, we both love Twilight and Harry Potter. I have all the books, all the DVD’s/Blu-Ray’s and have watched every Movie in the Cinema. I also have 40″X50″ HP and Twilight framed Movie Posters hung in my Home Cinema.
I can’t see why anyone would suggest conflict or rivalry, I susspect most people enjoy both.
I guess it should be expected that the media wants to gain from the hype, it annoys to no end, specially when all I’ve heard are very shallow reasons and most by people that don’t know what they’re talking about.
That is a really ugly picture and I am middle aged. Was that some male artists attempt to what? Make Harry and Edward middle aged male relatable. ICK. But yes I can not wait for both movies. Everyone in my family, except the teen boy/man can’t wait for both movies. Boy/man doesn’t watch movies of books because it makes him mad.
I loveeeeee the HP series and i started reading all the books way before i knew anything about Twilight
Now i love Twilight and i read all the books
Not to bust anyone’s bubble but HP came out first so knowone should really be pointing any fingers
i highly, highly doubt they would stoop to the level of tryinh=g to copy off of Twilight
I love them both very much but come on guysz
Tabloids stoke interest????? any true reader ignores the rubbish they claim
I don’t think there is competition really.. any true reader will attend both….
the only real connections I make is the Alice could be friends with Luna… or Dumbledore with Carlisle. i bet they would be facinated with each other
THEY ARE NOT COPYING TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!! come off it Wall Street Journal. Don’t try to make a rivalry when there isn’t one.
i dont now why they are saying dat Harry potter is copying Twilight!
Im a big fan of twilight bt Harry Potter did came out first than Twilight
I don’t know…I love both series. I actually just reread the Harry Potter series because of the movie, and there’s no reason not to like both of them. There may be competition between them, but I don’t think they realize that there are so many crossover fans….
I don’t think they are coping Twilight. The 6th HP book has a lot of romance in the book, it is part of the story more so than it has been in past books. They are just advertising this story. Also Twilight and HP don’t have to compete. They are both great stories and the fans that love them will see them both multiple times. I personally can’t wait to see HP next week multiple times and in November comes around I will be seeing New Moon multiple times. And yes again, Hollywood doesn’t understand. I’m 40 and love both stories, these are not just teen movies.
I agree with you totally!
Comparing HP to Twilight is like comparing apples to oranges- they’re both fruit, but they taste TOTALLY different. I’m sooooo sick of the comparisons. I personally could care less about all the numbers and statistics involved. They’re both really good, can’t we just leave it at that?
And what exactly are bedroom eyes?
EVERYONE!!!! The world is big enough for wizards and vampires.I love both of the series and the worlds/characters that the authors have created..
HP series and the TWI series really don’t need to copy eachother because they have a quite a few number of fans anyways. Its really irritating when the media tries to stir up rivalry that really may not exist. If they wanted to compete the movie would come out at the same time!
I think that they are completely different, but i think HP appeals to WAY more people than twilight does…
I’m tired of the Twilight and Harry Potter comparisons. As I’ve said before, they’re comparing Apples to Pumpkin Juice.
Do people not get that these two things are completely different and if they read each book they’ll see the difference but somehow they always compare it. These books are two completely franchise and they might have the same fan bases or maybe not THEY ARE DIFFERENT!!
I’m still young enough to have grown up with Harry Potter as a kid and then fell in love with Bella as I became a teenager – and I have to say, they two stories together for me. Harry Potter captured the essence of youth and adventure, of friendships. Meanwhile, Twilight progressed into a series that matured visibly, with themes that could apply to readers of all ages. I loved them both, but at different stages of my life; that’s just how things generally work.
Of course, I’m still going to see the next two Harry Potter movies, mostly in remembrance of it having been my favorite series. But since they two genres are so different, I really don’t think there are in the same sphere to be judged. It’s easy to like both without one series taking away from another. That’s how I see it, anyway.
No, I don’t think HP is coyping Tw’s marketing strategies. Tw is basically a love story, so it makes sense that the posters would reflect that. HP is the story of Harry and his friends. It just so happens that in book 6, they are realizing their feelings for each other. I mean, come on, they ARE 16 now, it was bound to happen. I think that HP emphasizes the relationships in Harry’s life; it’s always been about family for Harry…he never knew his parents; he grew up with family that didn’t feel like family; he calls Hogwarts his home; the Weasleys feel more like his family than the Dursleys do. The trio have always been emphasized on the posters and movie covers; the main story line of book 6 is the relationships they develop, so it just makes sense that the posters show that.
Yes, I’m a fan of both HP and Tw. I love HP for it’s magical world. I love Tw for it’s “real world” feel. Neither is better than the other for me. I can read both of them and be swept away to another world.
All I have to say is: That picture is freaking creepy.
No! and thats the uglies pic Ive ever seen! Both Edward and Harry look ancient! lol
I am a 37 year old mom. I did not start reading the Harry Potter books when they first came out. I thought it was for kids. I bought the first book for my son. He didn’t read it so I did and fell in love the the world that Harry fell in love with. Twilight on the other hand I saw the movie first. People told me to read the books they were better so I did (in 5 days!) I like them for the romance. When will people realize that more and more adults are reading and watching young adult movies and books.
There is on compitition. They are two completely different worlds and I enjoy them both. What a great year,Half-Blood Prince and New Moon! It doesn’t get any better than that!!
oh wow,i totally agree with you.
btw, i hate that picture. fuglayy!
I completely agree with July. I think the whole competition thing is absurd, because they both stand in very different thematic areas.
I also don’t think Harry Potter or Twilight were only meant for children or teenagers. Both books are amazingly well written and are extraordinarly captivating not only for a 10/15 year old but also for a 26 year old woman, like myself.
Never mind what I said about July,I meant Shannon! Sorry
There is no reason for Harry Potter to “copy.” Honestly, I see no reason for them to compete. Alot of people are die-hard fans of both series (me included). And while the Twilight series is HUGE and I am a big fan, it is not yet on the level of HP.
I love both for different reasons.
I love The Harry Potter Series because it is action-packed and I love the twilight saga because it is romantic.
i am totally a HUGE fan of BOTH..
i finish read both series and it is awesome..
dont like when they like to compare it..
seriously.. HP is the first book that open my interest in reading fiction material.. i totally love it.. and then twilight that make me crazy of it.. so i like both.. copying question supposed not existed..
hahaha, the harry potter franchise needs no help whatsoever from twilight. it already has the upper hand because a ton of guys and adults read it.
they are missing the point that the romance is being featured because it strongly appears for the first time in the series in HP6. it’s almost as important a theme as the adventures and mysteries in the book/movie!
I love Twilight, but Harry Potter is on a completely different level. They both have completely different themes, too. Harry Potter is an entirely new world that Rowling created, while Twilight is focused more on the characters in the real world. The first Harry Potter was written in the ’90s, and JKR has said over and over that she basically knew how the stories would go since the first book was out (she said she wrote the final chapters of HPDH before she even published the first book!) Twilight came out in 2003/2004. They are completely different decades, even, and no plots in Harry Potter were copied from Twilight. Harry Potter doesn’t need to copy Twilight, it has made millions on its own. Personally, Harry Potter introduced me to reading and it will always be my favorite. All the Twilight hype has kind of gotten on my nerves lately, seeing I wasn’t a fan of the movies but just a fan of the books. So seriously, movie critics, there are other great projects coming up out there. Twilight is not the only influence movie companies have. Maybe you should read the books and realize that the actual story lines in the books influence the scenes in the posters!
I am a huge fan of both! And I agree with others that the romance element is becoming prominent in the advertising because it’s becomes prominent at that point in the books.
In some ways they could need to “compete” – like when the next Harry Potter movie and Eclipse open at the same time (which I’m sure could still change anyway). If people have only the expendable cash or time to see one of the two on the opening weekend, it affects the race for most successful opening. Over the course of the films’ runs, however, I don’t think it would make a difference. If people are going to see both of them, they will see both of them. They’ll just have to pick which to see first!
But yeah, in general, bull. They don’t need to compete in any way.
Whoever wrote this is soo stupid! This Harry Potter movie is following the book, and there is more romance scenes in it!! Harry Potter and Twilight are toatally different!
Of course they’re not copying Twilight! The movie’s going along with the story line from HBP, not some mushy sweety talk they dreamed up because they want Twilight fans hooked too. HP doesn’t need any more support than it already has; actually Twilight’s the one that came second. If anything, the fact that Robert plays Edward after he had a role in HP, helped TWILIGHT, rather than the other way around. Both books have their own unique touch to them, and both of them have influenced so many people in so many different ways. And remember, love stories have been around since the dawn of time, just because you see a movie or a book about a forbidden relationship and a heavy duty love triangle, doesn’t mean they’re copyrighting off Meyer’s ideas!
*Harry Potter or Twilight?
Thank goodness we don’t have to choose!*
HP and Twilight are both incredicle book series for different reasons, and I hate how people pit them against each other. This HP isn’t trying to copy anyone, their ads are merly a reflection of what goes on in the book, and no one is trying to steal anyones anything.I just wish people would quit saying that Twilight and HP are enemies, they are just two really amazing series.
once again, the media has no idea what they are talking about.
I actually only know one teenage girl who is a fan. All of the other fans I know, and there are many, are fully grown adults.
And Twilight and Harry Potter are nothing alike. They are popular all on their own, and don’t need to copy anybody to be successful.
I don’t think they have to compete. To be honest, I think they are too different to really be compared, but as always, newspapers, magazines, and often radio reviewers never seem to grasp this.
I have liked both series for a very long time, long before there were films or merchandise. I was into HP way before Twilight, and I like them both for very different reasons.
I’m a 40 year old mom of two. I adore Harry Potter AND Twilight. When Deathly Hallows came out, I holed myself up in the house with no tv, radio, phone or internet contact to preserve myself from spoilers and read the whole book in a day & a half. I don’t remember feeding the children those two days. When I got hooked on Twilight I read the whole series in under a week. They are so different to me I can’t compare them. I don’t even think romance when I think HP, unless it’s my strange crush on Snape! I don’t think a rivalry is necessary.
It is not copying it in any way, shape or from. It’s is just in that part of the film. If you are a true Potter fan and have READ the series, you would know that it was going to happen on this one film and the others to come. They are both completely different stories and how could they even be compared. I love both of them for two very different reasons.
is makes me really made i freaking love twilight but harry potter came first and i will always love it slightly more. ok hp did NOT copt twilight at all ok hp is totaly different and is surly NOT cobying twilight.
i agree with many of you. harry potter and twilight both come from very different worlds and hold practically no similarities. Its really stupid of people to say that they are “competeing”. it makes no sense! twilight is amazing in its entiriety and all but harry potter will always be my first love lol
I don’t think that their competeing but the poster thing sounds similar to the ones of Twilight. I just think that the HP people in charge of the posters should be a little more creative and not make it look like their copying Twilight.
Okay, so here’s my opinion on this whole mess of HP vs. Twilight:
Each series has nothing in common except for the supernatural background. NOTHING! So where’d the competition begin? When Eclipse knocked J.K’s book off the #1 spot of bestsellers. There are numerous other “epic” tales to compare these stories with, but that is the sole reason that sprouted this really annoying comparison.
Harry Potter- like many other kids- got me into reading- hardcore. I’ve grown up with those books. I am brought to a different world when I read the Potter books- I can picture everything, I can feel like I’m part of that world alongside all of J.K’s characters. On the whole, I will always love that series more than Twilight.
However, I do adore Twilight- but Meyer’s series does something different for me… it excites the romantic in me. It’s romance. It’s the unattainable, excitable romance of it- love the characters, love the story, love what it does to me, but in my opinion HP has more… layers, is that the right word? My personal opinion- take no offense.
HP has managed to gather the interest of ALL age ranges, male and female alike- whereas Twilight is meant mainly for women & is pretty much read by women only. There’s really no reason for HP is try and spruce up the romance, because not all of the HP admirerers have read the books and seen the movie with the intent on seeing a good chunk of dizzying romance. But Hollywood does strange things though- encourages controversy, but I’ll safely say that I enjoy the books of BOTH series more than I do the films. & I definitely do not view the Twilight movie poster as iconic.
I most agree with your comment.
I must say I agree completely with the writer before me… and your comment was well put! Especially the part about layers… that’s what i was thinking as well. Twilight lacks the different “layers” of a story.
I also agree/have the same feelings you (Elizabeth) expressed. The growing up with Harry Potter but Twilight bringing out that actual feeling inside you…
I must say as well, that the poster they did is freaking hilarious! They couldn’t have expressed Rob Pattison better! I personally think he is SO ugly… and the character he plays gets him all the fans.
And what’s with his BODY?! EWWW. Couldnt they have him work out a little more?? Get him a real 6 pack? I mean he is suppose to be the most beautiful man in the world… jeez…
i understand that they compare these 2 becuase they both deal with the supernatural but like everyone else said, twilight is a romance, all of the books are and Harry Potter isnt. they are barely alike so i think they should stop comparing them to one another. (i luv twilight WAY WAY WAY more than HP but still think they are unfairly judging HP)
All I’ve seen is everyone saying that they aren’t copying and that’s all that’s being focused on. Did anyone read the article? Seriously? Did you read how they described the movie posters and WHY they are talking about it? When I read it and how they described the HP posters I immediately thought of the NM posters that are out.
Do those not sound like Twilight posters at all to you guys? Now they probably aren’t copying but it could seem that way, it could come across that way.
Man everyone has always been sooooo caught up on the comparision stuff that when they see that all else in an article is pushed aside. People see Twlight/HP and the word copy/compete/competition etc and everyone loses focus on everything else and the whatever you want to call it starts.
I personally am not a HP fan, sorry, read the first book, didn’t interest me and didn’t like it so I didn’t read further (nor have I seen ANY of the movies), sue me I’m probably the only one on here that hasn’t read them and fell in love with them oh well life goes on. But just b/c of that, it doesn’t mean I think they are copying, just saying how it could be construed and seen as them copying their MARKETING NOT the BOOKS or the MOVIES which is what everyone keeps focusing on.
Well if you had read hp6 you would know why it doesn’t sound as copying at all
Seriously does anyone read anything? Like actually read it?
The article is talking about how the MARKETING, NOT the BOOKS are somewhat similiar, the POSTERS, NOT the BOOKS seem almost like they are being copied from Twilight.
It isn’t saying that HP is copying romance from Twilight. Like I said, people automatically see copying/comparing Twilight and Harry Potter in the same space and that’s all that is focused on and not what is written between those words. No one has once touched on the actual article, only that there is no way HP is copying Twilight with romance. We all know we can read, so let’s read it the way it’s suppose to be read. Would you read Twilight or Harry Potter that way? Just picking out certain words? I don’t think so, so don’t do it with other things. Focus, read it the way it’s suppose to be and all would be good.
Here is a link to the posters that they are talking about in the article. What they are saying is somewhat copying, remember NOT the BOOKS being copied but the MARKETING.

sorry (im not being rude or mean or anything like that) but i just wanted to point out to the people who are saying “i have luved HP way longer” well it did come out a few years before twilight so……
