We are awaiting word from Summit on the following item that appeared in the Knoxville, Tennessee papers today. We have no further details at this time. TY to Lexiconer Anastasia who sent this in.
“The dawn of a new “Twilight” will bring star power to Knoxville this November when “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” the sequel to the 2008 breakout film “Twilight,” is premiered at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek in advance of its scheduled Nov. 20 release.
Although confirmation of the Knoxville premiere of the movie is set, several key details are yet to be determined, including ticket prices, just which star or stars of the movie will come to town, and even the date of the event.”

I remember the lines at the Pinnacle when Twilight opened. There were ‘mini-Twilight’ parties in the line! This will be awesome. Most important is the money this event will raise for Children’s Hospital. Great way to combine two passions: helping others and Twilight!
I’m in Knoxville too.
I’m a twilight mom (Reneem1)
Road trip to see my moter-in-law LOL
Oh, I live in N. Alabama – I’d definitely go!
Hey, Renee…I’m a TM, too!
I’d definatey make the drive down from Cinci — can’t wait for more details and for which charity they’ll be raising money for!

Hi TMs, I’m one too. I sent in the article. I am in Knoxville and hope I can manage to get tickets.
Yeah my mom told me this morning and I have to say I am really surprised 1. because For the longest time I thought there was no one else from Knoxville on Twicon or Twilightlexicon and 2. I wasn’t to sure that it would even get on here. I scream and said I don’t care if I have to camp out for a whole week in Turkey Creek (I live in Halls) I was going to get a ticket. Also one of my friends work at the Pinnacle. I AM SO EXCITED!!!
Holy crow!!! I live 5 minutes or less from this theater! If this is true, I will be investing in a new camera with kick butt zoom!!!
I’m in Birmingham. I’ll be there!!!
The Black Pawn Movement is based nearby this.
This will be grand!
Wow…I can’t wait! My mom and sister just left this morning (we live in South Florida) for Knoxville to my parents summer home. While in town we always go to Turkey Creek to go to the movies. I told her she has to go by the theater while there and find out what she can about the event. She has a friend that works there, I am hoping he might know something..yay! See you all there.
I am more than excited and VERY worried. I really, truly hope that the people in Knoxville can get tickets before the invasion of the rest of the world. If I don’t get tickets, I will absolutely cry!! I seriously live 10 minutes from this theatre and want to go more than anything!
I totally agree with you, people from Knoxville (that would be me) better get tickets. But we do have an advantage cause we will get all infromation first because we live here.
o my god. IT WAS ON THE LOCAL NEWS THIS MORNING AND I WAS SCREAMING SOO LOUDLY I WAS SHAKING AND I HYPERVENILATED. I LIVE LIKE TWO MINUTES AWAY. IM SOO EXCITED I CANT BREATH!!
I hope Kellan comes to the premiere. It will be kind of homecoming for Emmett considering Emmett’s from Gatlinburg, TN.
Yea he was from Gatlinburg and his last name was McCarty. Which is really cool because my mother’s maiden name is McCarty and my family is originally from Gatlinburg. We may be related lol jk.
I actually was taught by an accountant for regal cinemas for a local college, and he said he sometimes don’t even know till the day OF that stars are coming in. And we so told him before we ended the class, u better contact us the next time some big ones come into town. I’ll have to get in touch with him, maybe I can get some tickets!! It’s an awesome experience meeting a star, met Jonathan Taylor Thomas back in ‘97 up in Sevierville, TN. Oh the teenage years!!
I got a phone call at 5 am this morning with this news. I am SO overly excited.
Not sure if this helps but the Pinnacle does do a charity event every year and brings in the stars and red carpet. The did it for Radio, Dukes of Hazard, and Will Ferrel came for Taladega Nights. When we went to one of these a few years ago they played the move about 2 weeks in advance for Dukes and we all got gift bags with hats and shirts etc. Then they showed the movie on like 4 screens. It was really hard to see the stars but they made a statement etc. They also watched the movie I think from the private area or maybe in one of the theaters. I don’t think they split up though. My advice is to get tickets early and arrive even earlier and DRESS WARM. It was crazy then, mainly cause Johnny Knoxville but this is going to be insane. Also, just FYI I think that the year I went which was 2005 tickets were like 60 dollars each. It all went to the Helen Ross McNabb charity or Variety. Variety is who it goes to this year. If you need some extra push you can always write it off on your taxes for charity. That is how I’m justifying spending so much money on a movie anyway.
oh and I’m a tm too.
omfg omfg omfg…. I grew up in Knoxville! I go to college elsewhere, but I’ve been to the pinnacle so so so many times!!!! AHH!!!!!! I know when I’ll be planning my trip home this fall…. =D =D =D
That’s so so so cool!
OMG!!!!!!!!this is the greatest thing that has ever happened!!!one of my friends moms friends works at the movie theater!!!i might be able 2 get tickets and meet the stars!!!!!!
