MTV talked to Kings of Leon, a great band that has not only caught the attention of Robert Pattinson, but music giants like U2. The band is friendly with both Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson, so there could be some split loyalties.
Their bassist is firmly in camp Twilight, “I really liked ‘Twilight’ a lot. It was a cool, generational kind of movie. I thought it was really pretty.”

We don’t think Stephenie will be at the awards since she is still on break. I don’t think she has done any media since the movie premiere. According to her rep she is still taking time off after the whirlwind 2008 where she launched 2 books and a movie.

KINGS OF LEON – by far my fav band. Good for them. If only they’d touted the books rather than the subpar film.
I agree with Emily. I love kings of leon and I love twilight…so I’m liking this article combination. Though I’m suspicious of anyone who overly commends the movie since it was considerably less awesome than the books.
I forgot KOL was playing the movie awards. Yet another reason to watch.
As soon as I heard their new album “Only By the Night” they turned into one of my favorite bands. I really hope they do a song for the soundtrackand am glad they liked Twilight. New Moon and Kings of Leon are the things I’m looking forward to at the MTV awards.
It would be great for them to have a song on New Moon especially Closer or On Call, I love them <

I adore Kings of Leon!! I’m soo excited for them to perform tonight. It’ll be my second favorite aspect of the awards tonight. First is, of course, the New Moon/Twilight features
Two things I love: Twilight and Kings of Leon! I actually saw them live not that long ago and damn, can they put on a show. Caleb’s voice is just amazing. And they’re sexy as hell, especially in person.
I’ve loved them when they were only popular in England. If you like their new albumn they’re older stuff is amazing too.
Only By the Night is bad in comparison to their earlier albums Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because of the Times.
Not to say that Only by the Night is bad – but if you really like them I suggest listening to their older, rawer (is that a word??) music.
