I'm honestly disgusted by this, I don't think she did that great of a job with Twilight to begin with, and now it feels as if shes taking advantage of the Twilight fans with this book. She knows fans of the book will buy this because the are dedicated, but really, I don't think she deserves the money she will be making off of it. The movie had SO much potiental to be great, the actors were a good fit, but the movie was lacking so much, she did horrible...sorry. I really thought Twilight was a bit of a let down to be honest. Watching it with my boyfriend, I had to explain constantly why things were happening when they did. The glares edward gives Bella in the cafeteria could in no possible way be understood by someone who has not read book beforehand, and the meadow scene barely had any significance..I found myself asking why they even bothered to put it in there. Catherine may be a great director, but I wouldn't add her to the list of reasons for Twilights success, it's success in the box office is ultimately weighed heavily on the books success alone. I'm truely excited to see what chris brings to the saga though...we can only hope for something more satisfying.

I believe the point trying to be made was in regards to her 'just walking in' and writing a book off of the back of a book written by someone else, without slaving away for years to write/publish, and because of the success of the original author/book, it goes to #1. It was not a jab regarding how long she had her directing/movie career, which we all ready know about thoroughly! How could we not?!?

Some people may view this as cashing in... and she may be seeing that she wanted to direct NM but was sort of forced out because she couldn't do it her way. Twilight IS her baby. I don't blame her for having pride in it. It is - to date - her claim to fame. It must be hard for her to let go...

I for one am glad/excited to see what Chris does with NM and am hoping it is not so... er, you know... I loved Twilight, but the actors/fans deserve better.

Catherine had already established a set design career and then directing before she did Twilight, don't one minute think she isn't doing this for the right reasons. Thirteen, her first movie that she and Nikki Reed wrote together, won all sorts of awards. And Lords of Dogtown and the Nativity Story were great movies.

Catherine had a name before Twilight. She directed one of my favorite movies Lords of Dogtown. She is very talented and she isn't "riding stephenies coat tails"! Are you kidding? She was the director, she has every right to make a book about her experience and I for one am glad she did so I could see the whole process. I really love the book and I'm glad it's so successful! Way to go Catherine!

To those saying she is trying to make money off of Twilight, reality check she was the director! She was apart of the process, has every right to write a book about her experience and I for one was glad to see how the movie came together from her book. She had a name even before Twilight! She directed one of my favorite movies Lords of Dogtown. She is very talented, Your assessment of her isn't correct or fair. She is a great director and I loved her enthusiasm for Twilight and how she brought it to life!
