Oh, well. He’s not that bad, I guess. No where near as awful as Dakota Fanning as Jane. I can’t wait till they pick somebody to play Aro!!! Aro is by far my favorite character in the series.

Ah, Jamie is perfect for the Volturri. He’s got that wonderful Botecelli (spelling?) angel look.
But Caius? Grouchy ol’ Caius? My favorite member of le Volturri to mock? Widdle Jamie as Grouchy Old Caius?
Hmmmm. Interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with it.

Who else thinks Rufus Sewell would be perfect as Marcus?

i do see him as a vamp but not Caius, maybe an Alec…or even Garrett in BD (even though that one’s not even sure)……but maybe this could work…..never thought Caius is hot…haha LOLZ

I wonder if Stephenie has as much say in New Moon as she did in Twilight? I pictured Caius older too, georgous, but older. I know he’s 3000 years old, but i was under the impression that he was transformed later on in life, say 40′s. I don’t want to see just a bunch of young characters, bring some diversity in to this movie. i thinkl that’s how Stephenie meant it to be.

Could u ask SM for confirmation, are the 3 volturi young or older men? I can’t imagine that they’re so young though, I thought they should be older than Carlisle or at least same age, but not look younger than him.

Lol, it’s kind of funny that people are complaining about him being attractive. Can’t say I mind myself! New Moon looks like it’s going to have a LOT of eye candy for us fangirls to enjoy.

Personally, I think it should be a VERY interesting choice, and probably a good one. When he grins like in the photo on this post, he looks very boyish, but based on what I saw of him in Sweeney Todd, I think he could pull off a much more “ageless” look. (I think that’s what the casting director was going for here, since we never actually find out what age the Volturi are supposed to look like.) Obviously costuming and makeup will help with that, too.

Really, as some have already said, the only thing that matters about Caius is that he’s super evil and angry.

Anyway, the important thing is not to make final judgements until we actually see him in the film… I think most people were pleasantly surprised by the casting in the first movie and I have a feeling the second movie will be no exception. (Well, I was pleasantly surprised, at least!)
