Twilight DVD Extras

So now that you have had the DVD for almost 24 hours we want to know what your favorite parts were.
In case you haven’t watched the Director’s commentary (with Catherine, Rob and Kristen) stop whatever you are doing and watch it now!! It is just too funny. Our favorite comment from the commentary was made by Rob during the big reveal scene.

“I thought I was going to get Cam’s six pack super imposed.” or “Never trust a man who waxes his eyebrows”

We’ve checked out all the specials on the Borders exclusive edition.  There is fantastic never before seen red carpet footage and cast interviews from Comic Con.

The best part is the commentary, hilarious, but the “the kiss montage”…First off it was hott. two, oh yes, that was way up the shirt. you’d think she would hold it back but oh no… she sat back and let it ride. lol. congrate kris. But for sure hot as hell. And I didnt know that was Rob singing his own music. WoW. “Let Me Sign”. Its short but so very powerful, passionate, and just uhhahh.

  2. jenjen says:

I just finished watching the commentary and LOVED it. I thought the CLASSIC comment was Rob’s comment about Twilight being so big now that they’d replace him with Zac Efron. Too funny. I agree, his obsession with his eyebrows is also hilarious, as was the “buffont” comments and his observation that in certain scenes, it looked as if he’d just got a facelift.

The Kristen I heard in the commentary is not the Kristen I’ve ever seen being interviewed. I have a new appreciation for how down to earth and funny she is.

    But my two big questions:

    (1) What was the “drama” they mentioned that took place on the set the day of the hospital scene?

    (2) Any guesses re: what movie was Rob watching that made him cry in his trailer (the day they were filming the scene at the police station, after the evening in Port Angeles)?

  3. Wendy says:

i’m glad that i’m not the only one who got two of them lol i ordered the borders one but i’m sure that won’t get here for another week or two (and i say that mostly because i’m still waiting for my calendar and director’s notebook lol) so i caved today when i went to hmv which has the 3 disc version. ahhh i was so excited to watch rob play the piano :) dreamy!!! commentary is hilarous! i’m fairly satisfied :)

  4. shannon says:

Some of the extended and deleted scenes made me realize how much better the movie could have been. I was sad when C.H. said (paraphrasing) that blah, blah, blah, this scene was from the book but it had to be cut because of pacing, etc.
My favorite extra HAS to be Edward’s concert with an an imaginary Bella as his muse sitting on the floor from the Target set.

  5. Jamie says:

I to am really glad that I was not the only one who got two copies of the movie the borders and target but I am waiting for both I really should not be reading the posts because it is just making me want them even more then I already do know but I am glad that I bought the target one cause I guess everybody likes that one the best I just can’t wait I love twilight

  6. leighh says:

I’m slightly disappointed I didn’t get the Target version. I ended up going to the Hot Topic party with friends, so while I was there I decided to buy the 2-disc dvd (with the film cell) just on a whim.
The film cell was a nice touch, but…I’m realllly missing the third disc now!

  7. Kat says:

I have to say, reading all these comments made me realize that I have to listen to the commentary as soon as possible. Sounds like Rob is hilarious!

As for the footage I’ve seen so far, I have to put in another vote for the deleted Carlisle/Esme scene! :D I was SO surprised when I first saw it, because I really didn’t expect any extra scenes with them… (I told my sister it was like Christmas came super early, haha.) It was so nice to see them have so much chemistry as a couple (something we don’t even get to see in the books!), and Peter and Elizabeth are completely adorable.

Okay, and I might be biased, since Carlisle/Esme is my favorite couple. ;)

Anyway, from what I’ve seen so far, the other features are great too… I got the Borders version. But it sounds like there’s some really cool stuff on the Target version as well… Too bad there isn’t some “super version” that combines all the features of all the DVDs, but I know that would kind of defeat the marketing purpose, haha. :D

  8. mstruitt says:

i am pretty sure the midnight sun scene is where he attacks her in the classroom from the vampire kiss montage, he imagines doing that in midnight sun… and yes, I wondered about the hand too

  9. oleander says:

I listened to the commentary this morning and was hilarious. Probably one of the better commentaries I’ve heard because it wasn’t pretentious, it was awkward and Rob was hilarious!

I have the 3-disc deluxe version and the third disc was fantastic. The Vampire Kiss montage was great and I was floored by the final bit, I really wasn’t expecting it. It was nice to see extended versions of Edward’s and Esme’s conversions.

Edward’s Recital was great too. Rob really is a talented pianist.

Becoming Edward/Becoming Bella was interesting as well.

I haven’t had time yet to watch the 2nd disc feature with the making of the movie. That’s on my agenda for this afternoon. I am so happy, though, that someone in my area released the 3-disc version.

  10. kate says:

I got the target version. My favorite deleted scene is Kristen’s favorite… where they are walking in the woods and then fall down together. Edward told Bella that there were much more dangerous things in the woods. I think they really needed that in the movie!

  11. Z.J. Cullen says:

Yay!! I finally have it! I got the Target one. It is the best version of the Twilight DVD all the way to the cover! If you haven’t gotten the Target one, stop what you’re doing and get it. The best deal EVER!! I got there at 7:30 a.m., and there were like fifteen people. I said, “Is everyone here for Twilight?” And then everyones just like, “Maybe.” And then everyone just starts talking about Twilight! Anyway, go to Target! Its sooooo worth it!!! Plus, it’s only $17.99!

  12. SibbySue says:

I loved the Vampire kiss montage. I wish they’d left the biology scene in. I think it’d have made his struggle even more real and devastating!

I loved the Lullaby remix, too, but I didn’t get the weird feet running through water bit, but that’s a-ok!

and the commentary, when Rob talked about his abs being sculpted and said “Glitter Glue” We totally all decided someone would snag that as a user name in no time…I can’t remember when, but him calling someone “saucy” LOL!!!

    all around joy!!

  13. Bethany says:

I purchased the Hot Topic edition and I’m also getting the Borders edition as soon as it comes in.

One of my friends bought the Target edition and I’m absolutely in love with Edward’s piano concert. Rob is such a talented musician. When we watched it, I literally sat through the entire video with my jaw on the floor. My contacts dried out because I refused to blink, haha.

I can’t wait to watch the commentary tonight!

  14. Olivia says:

I got the Target 3-disc and it was AWESOME!!!!

My favorite parts wer the Vampire Kiss montage and Edward’s Piano concert. It was so beatiful!!

I am now in love with Rob even more now!! (If that’s possible)

    ^,..,^

  15. misslelie says:

Im watchingg the comentary in like 5 minutes with mi bff, but the deleted scenes were kind offfff, pornish (LOL) like all of them (4/5) or so had some kind of something involved. Especially the victoria and james one…holy crap that wus….. intttteresting.LOL well, there were like no deleted scenes but mi favvv wus the emmett one!! They should have pout that in!! Jasper looked good in it too, so like wide eyed and innocent.LOLOLOL!!!

  16. Monica says:

I have the 2-disc dvd :) And got it last night! I was so disappointed because I couldn’t go to the release party (I was sick) so my parents surprised me by buying the dvd for me… :)
I love carlisle and esme’s deleted scene
And I absolutly love the commentary and I was craking up the whole entire time… especially when it was the Port Angeles scene when they were attacking Bella and Edward gets out of the car and Robert said the most hillarious thing ever I forgot how it went but he puts this high voice and is like “guys lets get along and make up” or something along those lines… (sorry i was watching during 2am and could not remember) But when he said that line I was lauging for like 10 minutes straight, my dad was even their and was laughing also.
I also love the part when Edward is like “what do we eat” and Rob’s like “Cheeseburgers” mmm I really want a cheeseburger right now.. anywho Im really disapointed though that they didn’t have bloopers but other then that everything was perfect :)

  17. Kaylie says:

So I know this is really gossip-ish of me, but during the commentary with catherine, rob, and kristen… when they’re talking during the hospital scene at the end of the movie… they talk about how there was so much “drama” on set that day… and all three of them sounded like it was something really bad. lol. I wish I knew what they were talking about…

  18. erin says:

I … along with most others it seems … got the Target version and am so happy I did! The third disc is fantastic! My favorite part is the Piano Concert. I thought it was going to be something really corny, but it’s great. I wish it was a little longer. The 30 minute conversation with Stephanie about the book was unexpected. It’s most stuff that we’ve all heard before, but it was nice to have a special section dedicated to that. I’ve diligently gone through all three dvds and haven’t found any easter eggs sadly. A blopper reel would have made this dvd even better. I haven’t watched the commentary yet, but will as soon as I’m done typing. Finally! A dvd that’s worth buying!

  19. Paige says:

I was actually extremely disappointed with the deleted/extended scenes. They were really short and just not very good at all. The only one i really liked was when Edward attacks Bella in the classroom(guessing it’s from Midnight Sun). Catherine told everyone she thought there was a scene where they say I love you, so i was thoroughly disappointed finding out there wasn’t. I think that was something ridiculously stupid to leave out. The third disc was kind of cool, I really liked “Edward’s piano concert”. I’m really glad Target lowered their price though…I would have been mad to pay any much more for the quality of content on the deluxe edition. Still love the movie though, hands down. There’s a million things wrong during filming, but they followed the story well enough and that’s what mattered most to me.

  20. Nicole says:

I watched the whole commentary last night! It was hilarious!!!!! Rob was awesome, he was so funny. I watched all the extras and i have to say i was a bit disapointed with the deleted scenes but i loved the extended scenes especially the one with Carlisle and Esme. They definitly should have kept that one in.

  21. Nicole says:

    Haha, me too Kaylie.

  22. Natnat says:

My favorite thing besides the awesome kissing was Carisle and Esme talking about Bella bringing new life into Edward. Loved it!

  23. Natnat says:

With soooooo mny people talking about B/E not saying ‘I love you’ to each other. I think we can bet money on them saying it to each other in New Moon. Uh oh! Now, I can’t wait for New Moon to come out!

And here I was going to be so patient… not!

  24. allisonlovesedward says:

i pre ordered mine from amazon and i actually got it friday afternoon. i was so excited because i wasn’t expecting it til saturday.

  25. KatieCullen77 says:

I got mine from Target and I got there super early (like right when they opened) and there already was a line! It was crazy!! The line was for Twilight, of course.

The first thing I did was watch all the special features. Then I watched the movie.

After that I watched the commentary. I told my friends to watch it as well. My favorite line was something that Catherine Hardwicke said…it was when Bella and Edward were at the restaurant and he was telling Bella what everyone was thinking in the room.

Whenever it got to the guy that was thinking “cat” Catherine goes “Let’s be serious, he was thinking about a cat.”

I also love the quote Rob made “Never trust a man who waxes his eyebrows” …lol. He talked about his eyebrows like every 5 minutes, it was hilarious.

I also love the part in the hospital scene (second one)and Kristen was like “Who’s seriously going to take me seriously with plugs up my nose?”

Wow I just really loved my movie!! My friends got there’s at Hot Topic and we watched theirs, I liked mine sooo much better!!

  26. Twilight Nymph says:

I’m so happy I read about people talking about the commentary last night. Thanks so much. I’m not one for commentaries, but after watching that one. Twilight seemed like the funniest movie ever. LMAO. Still laughing at all those comments form Rob. XD

  27. tWiLiGhTeR says:

Carlisle and Esme’s deleted scene!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!! IT WAS SO SWEET!!!! And LOVED the Director’s commentary (with Catherine, Rob and Kristen)!!!!!! Got To WATCH!! IT was FUNNY!!!!

  28. Claire says:

My friends and I found the Vampire Kiss Montage on the Target 3rd disk absolutely hilarious! I loved Edward’s fantasy of killing Bella, might have been pretty cool if they’d left it in the movie. I also loved the deleted scenes, Carlisle + Esme especially. I definitely recommend the target edition! And now I have all that awesome stuff on my ipod, what could be better?

  29. Chela85 says:

I LOVED the Carlisle and Esme scene!!!!! I wish they would have kept it. Edward’s piano concert was cool, Rob is very talented. I think the Vampire Kiss thing was interesting, even the name was creative, I mean I never thought of that as a vamp kiss but when you think about it…it works! I liked the adventure from beginning to end, I’m always interested in seeing how things work!! But by far my favorite part was the commentary!!! It was SUPER FUNNY, I mean I could listen to the three of them talk for hours hahaha. (Rob: Did you just fall on your ass? Kristen: Yeah, I just…fell.) (Kristen: They told me to flutter my eyes and look like I was having a flash back. Rob: What did you do? Kristen: I fluttered my eyes and looked like I was having a flash back. (laughter)). It was fun, we kind of learned what was going on in real life during a scene (like the scene in the Jeep is actually the last scene filmed and they were kind of sad etc) and you see more of Kristen, Rob, and Catherine’s personality. I really enjoyed myself =)

  30. Jules says:

I bought the 2 disc copy of Twilight from Wal-Mart at mid-night with my daughter, and then we bought the 3 disc copy from Target Saturday. The third disc has some pretty cool stuff on it. It has a conversation with Stephenie Meyer, she talks about how she created all the characters it’s really interesting. It has how they chose the music, Rob becoming Edward, Kristen becoming Bella, Catherine Hardwicke’s Vampire kiss montage, Catherine Hardwicke’s Bella’s lullaby remix music video, and Edward’s piano concert. The 2 disc copy does not have that. I liked the Target edition the best!

  31. intotwilight says:

“what is he doing?!…That’s a little bit saucy”

haha i could not stop laughing when rob said that.priceless

  32. musicbox02 says:

So what other digital extras come with the itunes download from the target 3-disc copy?

  33. safina says:

I’m not going to receive mine before April 13.That’ll teach me to decide quickly next time.

  34. Avery says:

WHICH VERSION SHOULD I GET? SOMEONE TELL ME!

  35. Julie M. says:

Avery-get the 3-disc version from Target! It has a lot of cool extras! And don’t forget to watch the commentary.

  36. Kim says:

First I bought the Borders Exclusive edition. I loved all the regular special features, but the Borders Exclusive content was really lame, some of the worst interviews I’ve ever seen. The Stephanie Myer book club was ok, but it was not worth what I paid for it. If you haven’t ordered it or gotten it yet, don’t order it or cancel it because it’s not worth the price or the wait time.

I also got the Target 3-disc edition (because I was so disappointed in the borders one) and their bonus disc is so much better! Totally worth the cheaper price, plus the digital copy is nice to have too.

  37. Chela85 says:

Yeah I thought that was funny too INTOTWILIGHT!!! I also liked when Rob was like “Now listen guys…lets all…c’mon guys lets…lets all be simple about this” in one of the funniest voices ever. And “Oooooh naughty.” Everyone seriously needs to watch the commentary it’s great.

  38. jenjen says:

I agree, I’d go with Target. Unfortunately, I bought it from Amazon and from iTunes (b/c I wanted it on my iPhone). I didn’t realize that the Target version has a free iTunes download. Anyways, I just went out and bought the Target version too because I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about the 3rd bonus disc. Wow, so adding all this up, I now own 3 copies. What a nerd I am!

  39. Cortney says:

Haha. Rob had me cracking up the whole time in the commentary. He is hilarious! I love how he went on like 3 times about waxing his eyebrows.”Never trust a man who waxes his eyebrows.”

  40. Bekah says:

The targets near me are all sold out of the three disk special so i ordered it and will probably get the movie next week. I can’t wait!!!

  41. Melisa says:

Audio commentary for a movie is done prior to the film being released in movie theaters. So how people were feeling back then, isn’t how they are feeling now.

  42. Avery says:

    okay thanks!

  43. Jess says:

omg the audio commentary was so funny! So many funny parts I loved! Like when Edward says something along the lines of “don’t you want to know what I eat?” and Rob is like “Cheeseburgers!” Or when Rob was like “I wish they would have kept the line that Carlisle had: “Oh Rosalie, you’re always breaking my bowls!” (sounds hilarious with his British accent, if u know what i mean xD ) and I loved how throughout the whole thing, Rob was always going on about his eyebrows! LMAO sooo funny!

  44. Courtney says:

    Rob in the commentary.

    specifically…

The scene in the woods “Then ask yourself the most basic question, what do we eat?”

    Rob: “Cheeseburgers”

    and his little “Apotamkin” quip.

    Hillarious!!

  45. Vulpini says:

I’m a bit annoyed actually. I got the 2 disc special edition at walmart (I don’t live anywhere near a Borders) and I live almost an hour a way from the nearest target…

I’m annoyed though because of all the “Different DVD extras” I mean how unfair is that? That certain stores got better extras than others? It was just kinda lame in my opinion, I don’t get why they felt they had to do that… I would have loved to see the other extras xD.

Whatever.. I liked the movie… and I’ll be watching the commentary this week XD. (college returns in the AM)

  46. Lynn says:

@ Jess-OME! I’m cracken up so bad right now. Until right now I thought I Rob said “Oh Rosalie, you’re always busting my b*lls.” It didn’t make sense…I get it now…DUH! I’m hard of hearing apparently. lol

  47. LaurenFaye says:

So, i just noticed something new:

Watch the documentary on disk 2 to the very end. At the bottom of the screen flashes:

“If you actually read all the credits you should be treated for OCD…Obsessive Cullen Disorder”

    Haha…I thought it was cute.

    (Anyone find any easter eggs??)

  48. shel says:

    @ LaurenFaye:
hahaha, ome… ur totally right about the whole “OCD” thing! lol, I luv it, it’s hysterical ;]

  49. waterlily says:

Commentary was great. Rob is hilarious (When he says why don’t they get Effron for NM, his comment on the sparkle scene where he “just looks all sweaty”, all the eyebrow cracks, and his Cathrine impression at the end) and I feel like you can get a better look into Kristen’s personality. The Vampire kiss montage was fun. (albeit hard core) I Loved extended piano playing and being able to see more of the “flash back” scenes from the old days. Great xtras!

  50. Angel says:

I completely agree with Vulpini! I’m so frustrated that I have to figure out which DVD comes with what features. I thought Borders had the best, but it seems the winner is Target. I’ll have to run out and get that version later when I have money to spare.

    ***Someone PLEASE tell me***
Is there a Midnight Sun clip in any of the Twilight DVD extras? IF SO, PLEASE TELL ME WHICH ONE!!!!! :(
