Jackson Rathbone braved the cold and the snow yesterday in Philadelphia to start filming on his new M. Night Shyamalan film The Last Airbender. It’s a good thing Jackson got toughened up by the crazy Oregon weather last year considering filming is also supposed to take him to Greenland. Also, in the “let’s nip this rumor in the bud right now” camp, this filming will not mess up Jackson’s appearance in New Moon. As every Twilight fan knows Jasper has two scenes (granted great scenes) in New Moon and wouldn’t be needed on the New Moon set daily.
Robert Pattinson is more than ready to hand over the legions of screaming fans to Taylor Lautner. Don’t worry, there’s next to no chance it will go to 17-year-old Taylor’s head. His parents have devised a plan.

I’m glad they’re doing Eclipse soon after New Moon. I know it’s an important book in the saga, but I just looove Edward. When they were saying before that they’re not sticking to the exact storyline of New Moon I was thinking GREAT, maybe Edward will show up more :]. Oh well… Jacob is good too… and Eclipse will be out soon… *sigh*
They’re too late! It’s already gone to his head and I can’t stand to watch him anymore. He acts like he’s the only star of the movie and I can’t stand his cocky attitude.
Edward has more than two scenes that’s just a rumor you will see. I agree he does have the big head, he is super cocky, no humility whatsoever.
It is Jackson Rathbone that only has two scenes in NM, not Rob. I am dissappointed to hear that, because I loved Jasper!!
I was hoping that they would show more of the Cullens, they were the only interesting part of Twilight for me. I find KS and TL “acting” on the dull side…and awkward…especially with the two of them (neither were great actors in Twilight, and the scenes of them together were…cringe-worthy). Hopefully the new director will work with both of them to get their acting up to par, and hopefully he will have the story line go smoothly and make it interesting. Keep your fingers crossed!

As for the acting, I thought the awkwardness worked, since he has a crush on her, and she knows it. Made the awkward situation a little more believable.
I hope Rob has more than 2 scenes, how about a few “never before seen” flashbacks? You know… to the scenes they missed in Twilight. Get him in there more.
that’s cute about him not dating until he’s 28. It’s smart of his parents to try to keep his head out of the clouds with all of the sudden fame he has gotten already and what he’ll get after New Moon comes out.
I hope New Moon won’t be like the book for me. Sure, I liked it more after reading it a second and third time, but the first time I couldn’t help but sit there and yell “Where’s Edward!” :-\
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that NM will be better due to Chris. I really dont blame the actors for how bad Twilight was, I do blame Catherine and Melissa (screen writer chick) They ruined it!
I’m excited to see Taylor take over, finally! We’ll get to see what he can really do.

even so, edward is there more than two scenes, even in the beginning. i *really* hope this won’t be a case where they don’t bother to develop the story at all- and edward just up and leaves without any momentum building to it.
that statement has me somewhat worried. =(
i would hope that they’d have some representation of bella hearing his voice in her mind while he’s gone, too…its pretty important to the story line.

What’s wrong w/ being excited about the movie?
Taylor’s ego just turns me off. I just don’t see him even coming close to Rob in the way Rob amazed us as Edward or in the way Kristen and Rob had such amazing chemistry together. I also know how these books end but does Taylor? He seems so intent on “making his Jacob/Bella mark” and pushing for “Team Jacob”. I don’t think he *gets* what Bella/Edward have.
Rob better be in more than two scenes or I see a sharp drop in the ticket sales for New Moon.
The Bella/Jacob scenes will be drudgery for me so without a good healthy smathering of Edward through this movie and some AWESOME Edward/Bella scenes in the second half, I just don’t see me or any of my friends going back over and over to see this the way we did Twilight. Summit and Rosenberg have to know this is a pretty common thought so I’m hoping they do whatever they have to get Rob in there.
I think Taylor needs to adjust his expectations.

I think that things are best left they way they are, too much focus on either of the “boys” and the story will get lost.
We are so used to seeing things the Hollywood way(where everything is perfect) that when the awkwardness of a relationship comes off as realistic most people are turned off. Yes, there are things I would have changed about the movie but you can make everyone happy. Over all great job on Twilight.
And I have faith in New Moon. If it is the general consensus that there need only be two Edward scenes, then I will be disappointed I will support that. Though I do hope that the “Edward hallucinations” will be done properly with Rob’s involvement.
Also, I think Taylor’s personality about making his “Jacob/Bella Mark” and “Team Jacob” is a perfect reflection of Jacob. Keep in mind at this point Jacob still thinks he can win and he never really does have the best grasp on what Edward and Bella have together.

The whole twilight fandom isn’t all Team Edward.
Many are Team Switzerland, or Team Jacob(like me:]).
The entire series is advocating Bella & Edward’s relationship & the only book out of the series that lets Jacob really shine through in is New Moon.
This is the movie Jake fans are most looking forward to, & Taylor’s just giving us what we asked for..
& yes, he is advocating ‘Team Jake’, meaning he likes Jake’s character better than Edward’s.
& maybe you don’t *get* what Bella & Jake have? I don’t know…

I am sorry to burst Rob’s bubble but he is still going to get MORE popular, even though new moon has a lot of jacob in it. Edward is the main male character in this series an that is not going to change, plus most people who have read the books ( the majority of movie goers) like Edward more and aren’t looking foreward to new moon. At least not the begining. Once we get to Voltera it by by Jacob and werewolves, and hello Edward and the Volturi.
Its going to be difficult when he turns 18 though. Gezz, he cant date until he’s 28 and yet I am allowed to date(very shocking with my parents) and yet I have no desire to date…
I don’t think Taylor is being super cocky at all. He’s just behaving as any excited teenager would. I can’t wait for New Moon and I’m so excited to see Bella and Jacob’s relationship unfold. To me, while B and E’s romance was new and exciting, B and J were more comforting, down-to-Earth and fun. I appreciated it. So many Jacob supporters are hyped for this movie. This is when they’re fave character gets to shine. I’m sure Taylor will bring that and more. As for those articles….I question the validity of Taylor’s parents not letting him date until he’s 28 (please) and I doubt there is much competition between Rob and Taylor at all, let alone any. Last I heard, both had great respect for the other. Oh and I’m sure that New Moon will have plenty of ticket sales. In fact, I wouldn’t doubt it if New Moon made more money than Twilight because by the time it comes out, they will be more Twilighters out there to see it. It’s quite popular you know.

I’ve been a fan of that TV show since the very first episode and when I heard Jackson was gonna be in it, it made it all the more worth waiting! I can’t wait to see him in it!!!
All these people saying Robert is jealous about Taylor’s new body, they have this big competition. Well,they both have been working out I saw a picture of Robert and frankly he looks really sexy. His muscles aren’t as big in the arms as Taylor’s but that’s fine with me, he looks really sexy. I like the smooth muscles rather than the bulky ones. Robert doesn’t have anything to worry about. I don’t like Jacob’s character, but of course I have nothing against the actor portraying him, wouldn’t that be stupid.

New Moon is about Bella surviving and existing while Edward has removed himself from her world. It’s during this darkest point in her life that Bella develops a relationship with Jacob.
How can this be accurately depicted with Edward still in the “picture”? It can’t.
So, RELAX!
Edward/Rob will still be in the movie, just to a different degree.
As for all the Taylor/Jacob hate out there, I don’t get it.
Taylor seems to be quite a friendly, honest, down to earth guy who has not only dedicated himself to the role of Jacob but to the series.
Not once have I seen his energy and enthusiasm, for his character and the Twilight series, take a dip or lessen in any way.
Over the span of several months he has commited himself to an intensive weight-lifting regimen totally transforming his overall body masss and appearance…
Why? to suit the needs of his character, Jacob!
So, you are trying to slam him for what?
His Dedication? Integrity? Loyally? Intensity?
A most recent example of his character and professionalism was shown when Summit was unsure if he would reprise the role of Jacob. At a time that had to be nothing but stressful- Taylor carried himself with dignity and strength and all at the age of 17!
I find Taylor to completely embody the character traits of Jacob and I am so proud of his personal achievements; whether they be his acting skills or his previous martial arts titles and accomplishments. He’s a good guy and his parents have done an amazing job. Thank goodness he has people looking out for his best interests. Just imagine how far each person in this world could go in their own life with strength, love and guidance having their back.
For all you Jacob/Taylor haters I have one last thing to say:
Get ready to see him shine in NEW MOON!
How on earth does Rob only have two scenes? The Volturi have more focus than that! I’m now thinking that I won’t be interested in this movie at all. I only saw Twilight once, anyway. It disgusted me. I’m a book fan and this was more astonishingly horrid that I first assumed it would be.
I can never tell when I read these articles how new the quotes are. I know Rob said a few months ago that he was only in two scenes in New Moon (or something like that), but that was long before the script was written. But it’s perfectly possible that he’ll only be in the first part and the last part of New Moon. For us Rob fans, the important thing to keep in mind is that the Edward scenes are really really powerful scenes in the book, and hopefully will be in the movie, as well. They won’t be short either.
I’m really looking forward to this movie. I think the actors will enjoy returning to their roles.

I don’t think Team Edward fans need to worry about his scenes. I think Rob was just downplaying his involvement because he knows the focus of New Moon IS on Bella/Jacob. It’s just his modesty talking again.
And we as fans, know that the screen time that Edward DOES HAVE will be extraordinary (saying goodbye in the forest/preparing to die in Volterra). I’m looking forward to both Taylor and Robert’s performance. Their screen time may differ but they both have very heavy material.

I’ve noticed a pattern of sarcasm from Mr. Rob when answering questions. I don’t think anyone should worry as, logisticly, I can’t imagine the script working with just two scenes. There are more than two scenes just in the rescue and return home, alone. I’d imagine he’s alluding to the fact that his character isn’t the direct center of the movie, so it’s as if he only has two scenes. It will be a-ok.
