Dakota Fanning would not steal the show if she was cast as Jane. Jane is such a small part in the book that I don’t think it will make much of a difference. And plus, she’s a good actress.
I have to say that I admire Dakota Fanning in the roles she has played but, having looked at some of the other suggestions, I really do like the idea of Jodelle Ferland. I don’t think I can really explain why I would prefer her…it’s not the fame thing, although I did love that the first film made it huge without big named stars. I think I just always saw Jane in a different way. Still, it wouldn’t stop me seeing or enjoying New Moon, no matter who was cast!

They should be careful casting Dakota Fanning for New Moon, she might steal the show
