Yahoo news has an article discussing the upcoming filming of New Moon including some of the characters they are looking to cast. As well as some casting rumors that can be put to rest.
Intoxicting Scent has some photos in their gallery of Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys. The photos were snapped at a recent appearance in LA.

I hope the rumor of them possibly casting Vanessa Hudgens and Brenda Song stays just that; a rumor. I would be very turned off from seeing the movie if they were cast in the film.
I hope they pick someone good for the role of Jane. She’s my favorite villain in the books. (And not just because I share the same name as her.)

I was given this Edward action figure during the holidays and was dearly surprised/amused by the back of its box (and I quote): “Special Abilities: Ming Reading.” …Yes, MING Reading, when it should so clearly say Mind Reading…
Ah well, it’s still an amazing Twilight-related toy.

RE: Casting … I hope they keep Solomon! He seemed like such a great guy, and he’s so into the role! I love Sam Uley, and I was really looking forward to seeing Solomon’s take on him in New Moon.

If they are casted, then the world is going to end. Disney has ruined a bunch of movies, and they will for sure ruin New Moon if they cast those three girls.

First of all, Brenda’s ASIAN… They’re at least trying to get actors that look SLIGHTLY NA. Secondly, I agree with a person way back when you theorized that they probably wouldn’t hire anybody who was more popular than Rob or Kristen. That wuld steal the light. Seriously, there are so many twihards that they don’t even NEED to bring in anybody famous. (So no Johnny Depp. D:)

Edward. Action. Figures.
You know, it’s times like these where I feel really bad for Rob Pattinson. Who would want a mini version of themselves in thousands, maybe millions of people’s rooms? It’s bad enough that there are posters and pictures everywhere of him (I was freaked out by my friend’s two identical Edward posters on the wall next to each other in her room. They’re always staring… o_O)
And also, if they stick any Disney Channel people in New Moon, I’m going to throw my shoe at something. Seriously. These people are only famous because Disney stuck them on a TV show and told everyone to like them, not because they have any acting ability (or the ability to get in front of a camera without irritating the masses). The only exception to this is Brenda Song, who seems to be a pretty good actress, hasn’t had her likeness printed on every possible bit of merchandise, and has been in movies that have more to them than happy musical songs. But even then, she’d have to prove to us that she could handle a waaaaaay darker role than London Tipton.
In my opinion, they should just keep their annoying stars on their own channel. At least we can be thankful that they’re not considering Miley Cyrus.
I know we have complained about past casting, got over it, and are now in love with it, but a Disney cast would definitely cause a riot.
I’d prefer someone new and lesser known.
The merchandising is going over the top it’s hilarious! The doll is already at borders. They had 50% off all calendars but are totally out of twilight ones. Hmph!

My vote for Jane would be Rachael Leigh Cook, since we didn’t get her for Bella. I think she would make an awesome Jane. The Disney actors have never had to be in something serious, I think it would be a bad idea…
